You’re adorable, Karen! It seems like you’ve truly mastered the art of pony tail with chic scarf
Hope Hawai’i is treating you well!!
Hi Lesley,
Aww, thanks! You should try this look… it’s easy and elegant. I like to use it when I’m feeling lazy, too.
I wish I was still in Hawaii, sigh. I returned home on Monday!
How are you? Got any exciting plans for the weekend?
Yay for videos! Thanks for the tip…you definitely pick a girl up on a bummer of a Friday night!
Hi Amber,
You’re welcome.
I hope your evening has been okay. Mine was pretty mellow. Just got back from the movies and now I’m just sipping on Sleepytime tea and chillin’ with Tabs.
oh snap! love the glasses and ur awesome tan! i love wearing my hair like that. makes me feel cute even if i’m bumming around town =)
Hi Mishel,
Thanks!
The tan is quickly fading, le sigh.
Isn’t this hairstyle easy? I like to rock it when I’m bumming around town, too.
What’s going on with you this weekend? Any plans?
Hah! That is exactly how I have been wearing my hair for the last couple days! I’ve skipped a washing (or two), and it hides my greasy roots.
Hi Shiny,
LOL! I can’t lie — I wear it when my hair starts smelling/looking funky.
I didn’t know you wore contact lenses. I wear them too. What brand you used.
I do that all the time. I have scarves that are made for headbands from Scunci.
Hi Kate & Zena,
I use Acuvue Oasys contacts. How about you?
Karen! love ur earringggs!
Hi Sarah,
Thanks! Got those from H&M a billion years ago.
Hey Karen!!!
Looking good and its great to have you back!!! I love the make up in this video, very summer friendly, especially like the look of your skin
Cheers
Hi Merylynmagic,
It’s good to be back!
I’m wearing Benefit, Nars and some Urban Decay in this vid. It’s an easy breezy Friday look.
Hope you’re having a good weekend so far. Got anything exciting happening?
Hey Karen
Thanks for the video! It is such a cute look!!
Those glasses also look super cute and sexy on you. Your videos are so informative and short too. More videos please!

Hi Camellia,
Thanks, girl! Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Looks so cute on you!
Hi Alice,
Thank you!
I love that look on you! I may have to try it out… if I can find a scarf. I already look young though, and I have a feeling that style will make me look even younger (i.e. like a teenager).
Hi Kypris,
Ahhh, I used to have that problem too. Trust me, you’ll be lovin’ it when you hit your 30s.
Hi Karen!
I commented you about it, but it was in a giveaway post and I would really be amazed if you actually read all of the comments. Any words of advice? It shouldn’t be too hot b/c it’s “winter” there, and I have plenty of SPF. I’ve never heard of there being any makeup brands exclusive to Australia, but maybe you have?
Guess what? I’m going to Sydney, Australia this July
Oh and great video, but I suck with hair. I’m like handicapped compared to people like you! And pursebuzz omg how does she do it?
Hi Heather,
I try to read all the comments but don’t answer back in the giveaways to keep the entries fair.
Anyway, I’m so excited for your trip, YAY!
I only know two Australian brands, Model Co and Becca. I LOVE BECCA! It’s getting harder and harder to find here in the U.S., so definitely stock up on that line while you’re there.
I’m test-driving the same brand. I was wearing the Acuvue Advance with Hydroclear but I began having serious issues (blurring, burning, redness, etc) with them. They think it was a long term allergic reaction so they switched me to the other brand of Acuvue that the opt said I could have.
Hi Kate & Zena,
I like ‘em. They don’t dry out on me as quickly as others I’ve tried. I hope they work out for you.
This is so cute and fashionable. It reminds me of the actresses in the 1960′s.
Hi Vanessa,
It *does* have a very 60s vibe.
Now if only I could get some go go boots…
you look soo gorgeous in your video! fab hawaiian tan =)) what a cute look
I like tying the bow, it llooks cuter
Hi Jessica,
Thanks! My tan is fading oh so fast (boo).
How has your weekend been?
Hi Karen,
I am glad you are back and as always you inspire me.
I am booking a trip to Hawaii. As I told you guys earlier i was there in 1970 when I was pregnant with my son and my husband was in Vietnem. it was an R&R for him. It was a very sad good buy for us. but all worked out well. My son is 38 now an FBI agent in NY. My Husband had come home that Nov. When My son was 10 months old. It was a wonderful reunion.
But the best part of this week was appreciating all that I have since those years went by. I think aobut Hawaii quite often and how beautiful it was and so do want to return!
Michele
Hi Michele,
Thank you for sharing this story with me. I am glad that everything worked out well.
I bet you’re so proud of your son and your family.
I think you wanted to pop this comment into the MAC giveaway post — I’ll stick it in there too so you can enter.
I’ve only had them for a day so we’ll see. My favorite brand I’ve tried is O2Optix. I had to switch to Acuvue after the brand was recalled. I’ve noticed that the hydroclear keeps them hydrated but that may be the source of all my problems. I have to wait until September to ask if 02Optix carries my prescription. I’m blind, I swear. I wear -3.75 in my left and -4.75 in my right eye.
How’s your weekend going? It’s been rather eventful here the past few days. Zena killed not one, but TWO bunnies. One each day. Zena was whining today so I went to investigate thinking she couldn’t find a hiding spot for her toy LBFF (little bunny foo foo) and told her to drop it. Well, she dropped a bunny all right in my parent’s bedroom doorway–a real, dead from a snap of the neck, bona fide bunny. I screamed when I realized she had brought a dead animal–that she had killed mind you–into the house! I had to tell my dad Zena had lovingly dropped a dead bunny on his doorway and took her for a walk so he could pick up the dead bunny. I don’t do dead animals!
Don’t even ask me how she managed to sneak a dead rabbit inside without anyone noticing because I don’t know! I shudder when I think about it. Ew to the tenth degree! She was mighty proud of herself though. We don’t condone her killing what she’s bred to kill (in fact, we praise her as there’s practically a bunny epidemic in my neighborhood)…as long as it stays outside in the yard where my dad can get rid of it. We know you can’t train a prey drive out of a dog, particularly terriers.
Thank you Karen for ding that!
We are going to see “UP” with my granndaughter after I read almost 4 journals for the UPX. JUst to be an instructor there you have to quantify and take tests. shsish.
Happy Sunday!
Michele
