Comment to Win $152 in Fragrances From i smell great

Comment to win $152 in fragrances from i smell great! DEADLINE TO ENTER: Dec. 31, 2014.

***The giveaway is officially closed.*** CONGRATULATIONS, CHELSEA! You’re the lucky girl! I received your email response, so keep your eyes (and nose) peeled over the next few days for your fragrant prize. πŸ™‚

The following post is sponsored by i smell great. From the creator of CLEAN perfume, the scents you love, extracted, encapsulated, bottled. Isn’t that great? Learn more at ismellgreat.com.

It’s been about a month and a half since I aromatically introduced myself to i smell great, and I’m still crushing hard.

The new line of easy-to-wear, mix-and-matchable scented lotions, potions and hair products is gentle enough to WANT to wear every day, and I like all four fragrances — Beach Babe, Candy Crush, Angel Cake and Wild Honey — none of which are so strong that they overpower everything when you walk into a room (in other words, nothing like the smell of popcorn).

And I’m still having fun with the idea of layering the different fragrances together, which come in different hair and body products, to create unique combos.

The layering/mixing/matching idea is their special power, along with being hella long-lasting, and I have yet to create a combo I haven’t liked. Individually, they’re all very light and gentle.

i smell great: the four fragrances

  • beach babe: Ah, take me away to a land of tropical breezes, coconut cream and golden suntan oil…
  • candy crush: Mouthwatering candied flower petals, rose syrup, icing sugar and candy hearts to tempt and tease you.
  • angel cake: A comfy, cozy scent with notes of pink icing, powdered sugar and candied almonds…with a touch of sweetness.
  • wild honey: A soothing synthesis of honey, brown sugar, Tahitian vanilla and sweet nectar make this intoxicating aroma irresistible.

The Soft Body Whip in Candy Crush + Wellness Water Mist in Angel Cake combo is currently nominated for ride-or-die status in my house.

There’s a corner of one shelf in my bathroom cabinet reserved for my favorite body lotions and body products, and i smell great stuff is all up in the mix.

I’m loving this new line, and I think you will too.

Which leads me to this…

Another holiday giveaway (there’s also this one for the felines among us). πŸ™‚

  105. Celia says:

OHMYGOSH! So, my dad used to buy this really expensive perfume for my mom, but it was, like, perfume oil so it was a teeny bottle that cost God knows how much. I loved looking at the bottle and playing with the bottle… I spilled multiple bottles. The best time I did this was because of Gone With the Wind. You know that scene where Scarlett is super drunk after the death of her second husband and Rhett comes to visit? Well I remember asking my mother what Scarlett was drinking, and not wanting to tell her 5 yr old that she was drunk on Gin, she told me it was something to make her breath smell nice. It’s TECHNICALLY true, since Scarlett swishes with cologne to mask the scent of alcohol. All my 5 yr old brain understood was that it was acceptable to drink perfume. I tried it. Twice. Both times I spit it out, what with it being disgusting. To this day there’s a part of me that wonders what perfume tastes like, hahaha.

There is this boxed chi tea concentrate by Tazo from Target that you mix with milk and it is amazing! It tastes just like the Starbucks chi tea latte but it’s so much cheaper! It smells just like winter I swear; the type of scent that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I was actually drinking one while reading this, but “t-money and k-dawg” made me spit it out! The smell of freshly cut grass can’t beat much for me. It’s crisp and clean scent reminds me of sunshine and summer and always revives me. My favorite perfume (that I can’t afford) is Le Parfum de Therese by Frederic Malle. It’s a beautiful warm scent that reminds me of my mother <3

  150. TerriB says:

    Shortbread cookies–absolute Christmas favorite.

  151. Princess says:

I was 12 years old when I first started wearing perfume. I still remember the first fragrance I ever purchased: “Glow” by JLo. It was around the holidays, so it was part of a gift set. Came with two eye shadows, a lip gloss and a wristlet that I wore to school everyday for an entire month, LOL! Though I’m not big on celebrity fragrances anymore, whenever I smell or see an ad for “Glow,” it takes me right back to the year 2002.

  152. Erin B says:

I snuck some of Santa’s cookies in before dinner today…whoops! There’s still enough for him to have some tonight though πŸ™‚

  153. Lexi says:

Absolutely the smell of pine trees. I can’t have one in my current apartment, but I have compensated with one pine-smelling candle in every room!

  154. kiwikiwidragon says:

Right now my favorite holiday scent is food!

  155. Catherine says:

The smell of Escada Especially Escada reminds me of Christmas. However, I think this is because I bought the perfume and wore it the most around Christmas time.

  156. Pharrah says:

Merry Christmas eve! Kids are sleeping so I’m helping Santa out in a couple of minutes! Have a wonderful New Year everyone 2015 just around the corner πŸ™‚

  157. Aqsa says:

I always had a thing for Chanel No.5.. Maybe its because the smell reminds me of my mom’s old body powder. It was this huge jar of body powder that always sat on her dresser. It was always spilling out all over the dresser so basically her whole room would smell like the powder. Ever since I discovered Chanel No. 5 and realized the smell was exactly like that of my mother’s powder, I have been head over heels for the perfume. Something about it just takes me back to happier times.

  158. Sandy says:

I swear, Karen, you inspire more lemmings than anyone else I read! Right now I’m wearing Beach Walk – only a tiny sample, πŸ™ – and wanting wanting wanting to be totally enveloped in the beachy smells!

  170. Maritess Lee says:

Peppermint and gingerbread cookie gets me in the holiday spirit!

  171. Fransheska Linner says:

A scent that reminds me of the holidays is the smell of fresh cut pine or cypress which my mum use to hang in wreaths around the house. As I live in Costa Rica we are currently in summer season and our lowest average temperature -at least in San JosΓ©- during this season is 16*C (about 60.8F), so we have sunny days but the air is chilly and the smell of those trees is delicious and refreshing.

I was about 9 or 10 and used to sneak and put on my mom’s Opium fragrance. She passed away quite young and I still buy it because of the wonderful memories it brings back πŸ™‚

  178. Sandy says:

Wow, what a giveaway. With so many comments I probably don’t stand a chance. BUT I am sold on Angel Cake…I have an extensive angel collection. Congrats to the winner!

  179. Nel says:

I remember borrowing my friend’s Shiseido Zen in the black bottle when I was about 17 or so. I wore it to the local theatre when I began volunteering to work there. It began a lifelong love affair with every aspect of the theatre. Though I never bought any Zen myself, the scent evokes wonderful memories for me of how exciting, funny, and compelling theatre is. I was hooked.

  180. Andrea says:

I think I started wearing perfume when I was 8 or 9. Avon used to have these solid perfumes that would be inside of little animals or other cute things.

  181. Kim Tran says:

I never eat any other cookie other than sugar cookies so its even better if its christmas time because the bakeries put out very pretty designed ones that makes you not want to eat them. It makes me sad every time I take out a bite of Rudolph’s face or Santa’s beard.

  182. Holly says:

Citrus reminds me of Christmas; my mom would buy bags of tangerines, mandarins, & satsumas all winter long for our school lunches & family gatherings. I still love to sink my nails into the skin, gently pulling off the skin, & reveling in the scent.

I love the smell of vanilla and peppermint during the holidays.

  187. Tracie says:

I used to be a Bath and Body junkie- tons of sprays or lotions just because they smelled good. But things changed and pampering myself is just not a feesible thing for me any more. How nice it would be to win this! Would last me for awhile I am sure!

Yesterday we hosted my dad for some Christmas Day visiting. We watched “Home Alone” (still so good after all of these years…) and I cooked my very first pot roast (so good – SO EASY. Literally set it and forget it). The whole day, I had Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam candle burning and it filled our home with that delicious wintry scent of Christmas trees and snow!
