In the not-too-distant future, the headquarters of Tabs the Cat Industries, LLC, also known as my condo, has been classified as a historical site — one of the must-see stops on the way to Wine Country — with a placard on the front door that reads, “Here lived Tabs the Cat at the height of his fame/infamy.”
But visitors, of which there will be many, will be sorely disappointed to learn that the world’s first plus-size kitty supermodel’s assistant was actually really, really boring.
Many of them will expect that a historical figure as influential as Tabs would have had a wildly eccentric, fascinating right-hand woman with bizarre yet endearing habits and vices.
Sadly, my biggest vice is porcelain cats…
Because I own many of them.
I suppose that one could also call my weakness for well-stocked palettes, like the new Vice 2 palette from Urban Decay, another vice…
But I prefer to think of that as good ol’-fashioned makeup enthusiasm. 😀
If you need more vice in your life, you can find the Vice 2 palette now online for $59 at urbandecay.com (coming to stores soon!).
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Hi Karen, the look you created is gorgeous. What are you wearing on your lips? And what happened to the Radar shadow?
Can you believe I still haven’t bought that palette?
Karen says
Hello my friend!
I’m wearing UD’s Naked 2 Lip Liner with their Liar Lipstick. I can’t remember… did you ever pick up Liar? It’s really pretty for a subtle lip. On you it might apply more as a deeper pink though, which I think could be really cool with silver/gray/black smokey eyes.
Wow, I’m surprised that you managed to resist. 🙂 What’s holding you back?
Karen says
Oh, and the Radar shade — it arrived that way. Perhaps the FedEx guys were playing volleyball with the box or something.
Agata says
I think the only thing that’s holding me back is the price. With all the travelling me and hubby did recently I feel like I need to limit my make up spending 🙂 I am not sure how long it will last though.
I don’t have the Liar lipstick but it looks lovely, I will have to test it next time I am at Sephora or Ulta.
Karen says
I understand. We ate out a lot last week while we were in Vegas so this week I’ve been cooking at home to help balance the budget again. We’ll see how long that lasts though, haha! I enjoy making food but sometimes at the end of the day when I’m tired it’s the last thing I want to do, you know?
Liar is really pretty on its own; I love it with the Naked 2 Lip Liner because it adds a peachy element to it. Oh, if you top it with a gold gloss it looks amazing!
Happy Friday, btw. 🙂
Agata says
Ohh never mind, you did list the lip product.
Karen says
No worries. 🙂
Liz says
I love this look. Everything is perfect.
Karen says
Hi Liz,
Thank you. 🙂 Are you thinking about picking up this palette?
hanna says
I love all the colors in the palette. On my list!
Karen says
Awesome!

You’re killing me with these deep dark smoky shimmery eyes lately. I haven’t been wearing makeup lately (the joys of new homeownership) and *need* to start playing with powders and shadows and lipsticks again before my creative side explodes!
Karen says
Congrats on your new home, Alison! When did you move?
Danielle says
The look you created here looks amazing!
Karen says
Thanks, Danielle!
Chelsea says
Love this look!
Bachelorette trip tomorrow to a burlesque show, so I’m going to have to do something crazy makeup-wise!
Karen says
Oh gosh, you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. It would be a travesty if you didn’t have at least a little bit of glitter on. Are you doing false lashes?
gio says
That’s a gorgeous palette! I love the look you created with it, it’s beautiful!
Karen says
Thanks, Gio!
Noga says
My god that look is gorgeous, I gotta have that palette!
Karen says
Hi Noga,
Thank you! The cool thing about Vice 2 is that with a look like this, you can easily swap out the green with one of the purple or blue shades and then keep the rest of the colors the same, but totally get a different vibe. It’s a fun palette!
Gowthami says
Great look! Love it 🙂
Karen says
Thank you!
Kim says
I have a shameful confession. When I first saw Radar in your pic, I thought it was brown with darker “veins” and thought it looked so cool. Now I realize it’s just broken in the pan, which explains the “fallout” in the palette. What a dodo! PS Liar looks great on you. 🙂
Karen says
I wish it wasn’t broken! It’s a lovely color and one of my faves from the palette. I think somewhere along the way the box got thrown in the air or something, LOL.
Kim says
This is just another reason to prank your Fed Ex Guy. 😉
Karen says
Haha amen to that. Although he might use it as an excuse to break more stuff. :[ Hmm…
Shakun says
Hi Karen,
I usually juist browse your blog, but look just compelled me to leave a comment. The eye makeup here is just impeccable, your blending, the brows, the proportions everything is perfect. You look stunning!! great work.

Karen says
Hi Shakun,
Thank you for stopping by to say hello. It’s very nice to meet you! 🙂
Cristi says
Waahhh! Why, Karen, why?! Why did you do this to me? I didn’t want this palette at all. I thought the colors were kinda drab in comparison to the last Vice palette (though the formulation seems much better this time around).
Then… I saw your pretty eyes.
My wallet is now in peril! Someone send help!
Ankita@corallista says
The green and gold looks gorgeous on you Karen!
Jessica says
Hi Karen, you couldve asked UD for another palette. My friend once received a skull palette that looked used. Some of the shadows were smudged. They sent her another palette free of charge.
Ayen says
I just got this today, the colors are PUUURRR-fek!
