Gotta buy cat food? Need to get some French fries? Always take advantage of any opportunity to wear Chanel.
Even if it involves tracking down (at your employer’s request) a can of special cat food that just so happens to be the most impossible wet food to find in the U.S. because it’s imported all the way from New Zealand.
I’m sorry, what was I saying…? Oh, yeah! — any opportunity to wear Chanel. 🙂
I derive great joy from wearing Chanel to run everyday errands. It makes otherwise uninspiring activities immensely more bearable.
Here’s one of my everyday makeup looks, this time featuring Chanel spring 2015 goodness. Soft coral lips with warm golden tones on the eyes, and lots of liner and lashes. No false lashes, though, or sparkling glitter, so it’s not too cra-zay-zy or outlandish, and there aren’t a ton of eyeshadows up in my sauce. It’s pretty simple, and I feel elegant when I wear it.
You could also skip the lashes and liner to make it even more casual, and I do that sometimes.
That’s Chanel Tisse Vendome (so my jam these days) on my lids and the Jardin de Chanel Blush Camelia Rose from the spring collection on my cheeks.
Other products I’m wearing from the Chanel spring collection…
Vibrant creamy reddish coral Rouge Allure Lipstick in 152 Insaisissable, a permanent collection shade currently being re-promoted with the spring launch.
I actually started snapping the pics in this post wearing Insaisissable but eventually swapped it for Rouge Coco Shine in 97 Desinvolte (another permanent shade currently being re-promoted in the spring launch) because my lips were feeling a little dry.
I love both shades, but I think Desinvolte looks a little more casual (and the Coco Shine formula’s more moisturizing).
I wore this look out to dinner last night with El Hub to a new burger place in Novato called Super Duper, and OMG BECKY! — so freaking delicious. Between the veggie burger (epic), the fries and Chanel, it was a great meal. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Gorgeous. I’ve been practicing doing my eyes; I hope I can achieve something similar. By the way, I really like your YT video tutorials. Cheese! (or cheers?!)

Funny how this lipstick looks totally different on you and on Sunny. Both times absolutely gorgeous, of course.
Do you need a catfood care package? I am right where I need to be to get that shipped.
Kiss & Make-up says
I bet El Hub approved! Both those lip colors are sooooo pretty.
Gail says
You look beautiful Karen! I love that you worse Jade too. They should have repromoted it with this collection!
Karen says
Hi Gail,
They totally should’ve. There’s a green polish in the collection (which I’m sure you’ve seen) but it’s not the same, le sigh!
Did you ever pick up Jade?
Chelsea says
Nothing like Chanel! I have issues with the floral scents and tastes in their lipstick, unfortunately, because the colors and formulas are otherwise amazing.
Karen says
I am still kind of crabby that your Macy’s stopped carrying them. I will have to check the nearby one and see if Chanel is still there.
Kwmechelle says
You had me at Chanel
Karen says
Seriously I need that sentence on a tee-shirt! 🙂
hanna says
I love this elegant look!
Kim says
Have mercy! All those things already looked amazing in the package. Now you have to go and make them all look even MORE amazing by wearing them together? You’re not being a friend to my wallet. 🙂
PS Happy Friday!
Karen says
Sooooo I have to tell you the light brown in that quad (the one you’re lusting after) is absolutely beautiful. Even if you just lightly dust it over the lids and the crease it does WORK. Um, not to be your Chanel pusher or anything…
Erin says
I love the look on you. I’ve been contemplating Insaisissable because it seem to be an equal balance of pink and orange. I want to be able to pull it off but I’m hesitating due to the price!
Tatiana says
You are gorgeous! Love this look on you, especially the lippie! I love how moisturizing the Rouge Coco Shines can be. I need to look at Tisse Vendome.
Where do you find ZiwiPeak cat food in the Bay Area? My girl has a sensitive tummy and this sounds like something I might want to try for her.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Vero says
Just subscribed to your blog using feedly through a recc from a friend and I love your blog the most :3 And you’re from the Bay Area like me!
Karen says
Hi Vero,
Thank you, it’s nice to meet you! How long have you lived in the Bay? I grew up here, went away for school, them came back for work. 🙂

Karen this look is gorgeous on you! I love how naturally beautiful and easy it is.
