Boo! Happy Friday the 13th from Novato, California.
Actually, this black cat’s name is Boo Radley. That’s what I named him. 🙂 I saw Mr. Radley today on my walk around the neighborhood. He’s your black cat of the day. For the record, you’re crossing his path. He’s not crossing yours.
This is the hill that Tabs patrols on his walks with me. It’s his favorite place in the world. 🙂
This has been a pretty mild winter for us so far. We’re already beginning to see some signs of spring, and flowers are starting to bloom.

So pretty! We’ve had a really mild winter up here in Oregon and I’m really thankful. The last couple were hard on the plants, it was so cold, but like you we have buds coming up! Yay spring!
May says
Wow!! Looks like we are having an early spring. We (Vancouver, BC) too are seeing the same thing. As of yet, our cherry blossom trees are not in bloom. Karen, do you know the name of those big pink flowers? I love them!
oooh cute black kitty. Hope Tabs is not jealous. 😉
Hugs from the Great Up North!
P.S. I might be heading out to San Fran in August. I will be needing your expretise! 😀

I’m pretty sure those are saucer magnolias.

Novato is pretty!

Tabs has enough wide open space to wander and roam! It’s nice and green too.
Yes, spring has sprung. My tulip magnolia has blossomed (one month too soon!) and the petals are already falling down to the ground. Irises, daffodils have bloomed, along with the almond trees and a few roses.
My black cat was a bit full of herself today and sleepy too. She fell asleep as soon as I rubbed her belly. It’s gonna be a shock come March winds and rain!

Beautiful pictures, Karen! I am loving the flowers! Is Boo your neighbor’s cat?

It was so pretty in Novato today! Then again, it was just gorgeous in Marin in general today. I love my winters but I definitely don’t mind Spring coming early this year for some reason. All these spring makeup launches are catching my eye! 😉

So pretty! I love Boo <3

So peaceful and pretty. I am so jealous, it’s freezing in Detroit, it’s supposed to be 4 degrees tomorrow. It does look like spring where you are!

Looks like a real pretty and cosy place, much different from the what we usually see of california.. Im kinda jealous though.. sitting next to my fireplace when it’s -39 outside!! 🙁

Novato is so beautiful!

What lovely photos! Its full on summer here in NZ and we’ve had hardly any rain so the paddocks around our house are looking kinda(ok,lets make it very) brown. Even the sheep next door are looking at the grass as if to say ” I hope you’re not expecting us to eat this??” I for one wouldn’t mind a little bit of rain…..sigh.
(Funny how we’re never happy for long: its too hot/dry or its too cold/wet/miserable!)

Looks like spring is sprung!

So pretty. We’re getting another foot of snow today. I’m done with winter and so is Señor Rabanne and his brover Blue.

Wow, so beautiful! I am so envious that this is your weather in February. I’m in New England where, as I write, we are experiencing another blizzard (12+” snow) on top of the 6 FEET of snow we have from the past 3 weeks…ugh.
Thanks for the warmth and sunshine 🙂
