You probably already knew this…but the Internet? Kind of amazing sometimes!
I mean, not only can you buy shoes with the push of a few buttons and have them delivered to you from thousands of miles away (shoe miracles), but you can meet and get to know people from all over the world.
Today I real life met Steph, who lives clear across the country, but since she was going to be out this way, we made a date to connect.
Steph and I have been chatting online in the comments here on the blog and Instagram off and on for at least five or six years, and I finally got the chance to hang out with her in person today.
Hi, Steph! 🙂
We walked around Sausalito for a bit, which is a cute town on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge, and did some sightseeing and window shopping at one of my favorite stores, the Sausalito Ferry Co. They sell all kinds of cheeky toys and snarky cards and magnets and things like the teacup kitties in that pic at the top.
It was such a nice day! And it was a real pleasure finally meeting you in actual person, Steph. 🙂

Awesome you got the opportunity to meet in person.
It is weird, you connect with people in comments/instagram and get a glimpse of their life, but never really see the persons face.
Catching up in person must be really exciting.

It was a beautiful day for meeting up with what feels like an old friend. 🙂 Thanks for taking time out of your beauty blogging day to hang out & catch up! I’ll try and bring home some of this lovely California weather…

awwww…. I totally HEART this!!! 😀 😀 I am glad you and Steph finally met up. It is not so weird these days. I met my best guyfriend online in grade 10 on a TSN sports chat. He met his other half the same way a few months after he started chatting with me. Since then they have been together since graduating high school, have two beautiful children and a cute dog. Yes we have met. I have also met up with some aussie friends when I visted Austrailia.

Isn’t it amazing how you can meet someone online and click with them? I have met some really great friends online, we’ve never met in person though. We are friends on Facebook and we email and text.
The weather has been amazing here lately hasn’t it? I keep telling myself as long as it’s sunny and is at least 65 every day, it winter isn’t really coming. It’s just a cool extended summer. Haha. I haven’t been to Sausalito in ages.

Aww, this is so lovely! I have this enormous list of awesome lady beauty bloggers I’d love to meet! Sometimes I fantasize about us all meeting up, although I think it would probably end up as a massive tangle of ladies, makeup and cats!
Mind you, there are definitely worse tangles to be in, LOL!

Meeting online friends IRL is the best! I’ve done it many times over the years with people I’ve met in different online communities, and it’s always been amazing.
