I like to eat an apple with a tablespoon of almond butter.

Have you ever tried dry roasted edamame? Salty, crunchy, all 8 essential amino acids and loads of protein! It’s yummy AND only $2 a bag, which fits perfectly in my broke-college-student budget. =) Then wash it all down with a tall glass of coconut water!
I really like ONE. It’s the best I’ve tried and if you’re not crazy about the plain version, they also have coconut water with a splash of fruit juice like pineapple or guava. The Seapoint Farms brand of edamame isn’t overloaded with salt, but if you like a bit of kick… there’s a wasabi version, too. It does wonders for the sinuses. Haha!
I just bought a jar of almond butter today for the first time ever. Didnt even know it existed. Will defo need to try it with apple.:) Thanks for the suggestion.
I workout before breakfast, so my breakfast is my post workout meal 🙂 I usually have a vanilla or chocolate protein shake with a scoop of Reliv vitamin powder, half a banana, some other fruit, a bit of oatmeal and a generous tablespoon of Greek Gods honey yogurt. That yogurt is sooooooooo good!!! I would eat more of it, but it is pretty high in calories and fat, so only a little bit for me. If I workout sometime later in the day, I have some coconut water, small piece of toast with some peanut or almond butter.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm toast and peanut butter – but my bootcamp is after work, so i normally have dinner right after – i try and prepare it the day before. I love to have a fresh fruit salad after as well – i feel its good to load up on all the vitamins right after!!
That looks delish! I’m always looking for new post workout snacks.. I love me some peanut butter on toast or with fruit. Heard good things about almond butter but after seeing this pic it has been added to my grocery list!

Oh, that sounds so good! I’m trying to chill out on the salt, though. Maybe if I can find an unsalted version…
I’ve heard great things about coconut water. What brand do you drink?

EAS Myoplex Lite or Atkins Advantage Bars. Both have 17-20 grams of protein and help keep my muffin top in check.
