OK, a totally unexpected turn of beauty events happened at Urban Outfitters last night.
And I wasn’t even expecting to walk in the store because, well, not gonna lie…sometimes that store stresses me out.
My BFF Jen and I joke around about how we both walk through Urban Outfitters with an ol’ biddy scowl 🙁 because we can’t handle seeing all of the high-waisted ’90s clothes coming back in style.
IT BURNS MY EYES!
But that’s neither here nor there.
Anyway, I was craving my favorite tostada salad from Blue Barn last night, so El Hub and I drove down to the Corte Madera mall. After the salad, which I would totally eat again right now for lunch if I could, we popped into Urban Outfitters to peruse their weird books and cat stuff.
I have no idea when this happened, but their beauty section has gotten really interesting! They have a bunch of brands I’ve never seen anywhere else, like this cute Korean line called Tony Moly.
I mean, how could you NOT want to know what the panda on the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Eye Makeup Eraser is saying??
I asked the gals on Instagram, and thanks to my friend Yeobocakes from Hawaii (SHOUT-OUT TO ALL THE LOCAL GIRLS ON OAHU!), I’m told that said panda is saying, “An essential for the panda who wants to be a polar bear.”
Of course! It makes perfect sense now…
I may or may not have done a little beauty hauling. 🙂
By the way, the nice gal at the register mentioned that if you have the Urban Outfitters app on your phone, you can scan it in the store and get 10% off beauty purchases right meow.
I don’t yet know if any of this stuff is any good…but I’ll know soon enough!
Sure is cute, though. 🙂

I just discovered Tony Moly products at Urban Outfitters a couple weeks ago! I picked up the Panda’s Dream White Hand Cream (I couldn’t resist the cuteness!) and the peach lip balm. They both sit on my night stand. I have to say though, the hand cream works great! What did you end up getting?

WAY too cute! <3 Reminds me of all the super kawai make-up I saw in Japan.

These products are so cute, Karen! I know there are some Tony Moly products available on sephora.com but I will wait to see what your thoughts are before I commit to any of them 🙂

I actually only go to UO for their beauty line up. They’ve got other brands like BH Cosmetics, NYX, & mario badescu. I’m dying to try the Mario Badescu rose water spray. I hear it’s a close second to MAC’s Fix+ and is a great way to refresh makeup or give you a glowey dew, if you’re so inclined. On the interwebs they’re famous for their neat selection of Indie brands 🙂

I picked up a bunch of Tony Moly products at Urban Outfitters a month or so ago. I recommend picking up the Latte Art Milk – Cacao Pore Pack. It’s very refreshing and it smells amazing.

This looks way too cute to actually use it.

Welcome to my world, Karen 🙂 Enjoy your stay lol. I LOVE Korean/Japanese beauty and skincare–partially because their BB creams and powders work for my super pale self. TONYMOLY is great stuff too! Perfect for the cat lady and cute-obsessed out there. UO has lots of good stuff online too. I need to go to my local UO and pick up sheet masks; they’re a worthwhile addiction to have because they do make good on what they claim.

I bet that beach spray smells hella good!

I can’t remember the last time I was in a UO. I’ll have to start keeping them on my radar. The Tony Moly stuff is adorable. I have the two lip-shaped balms that Sephora carries, but nothing else of theirs. I want to try those hand creams.

It’s funny that you posted something on Tony Moly today. The last couple of days I’ve been researching Tony Moly and this other brand Clio as well as some Korean face products (since they have amazing skin!) My mom’s stopping in Korea on her way to the Philippines so I’m going to try to get her to pick up some stuff while she’s there. Oh duty free…*sigh*!

I love to shop for beauty stuff at Urban Outfitters. I’ve never been very luck with their clothes to be honest but they usually have a really cute selection of makeup/beauty. Their nail polish line is also really good (not even sure if they still make it).

I love Tony Moly and Asian beauty in general! I have the panda hand cream. I like it, it smells good and is so cute!
It is crazy to see how Korean beauty (primarily) has really taken off here in the states. Now Urban Outfitters carries various brands as well as Sephora.

I’m lucky that I live in NYC where I can purchase Tony Moly products from their own shops because the markup at Urban Outfitters is a little ridiculous

sephora has had a few tony moly products, i have a cooling eye stick that is the little panda packaging and i love it! most adorable product in my bathroom.

The stuff is super cute.. I want all of these Panada’s at my place for a grand Panda party 😉 ..

Can’t wait for your review. This stuff is way too cute. I think I need some pandas too.

Tony Moly lip balms are so cute plus they all smell yummy. I picked up my first Tony Moly lip balm from Sephora, it was the lip shaped balm and I have to admit I got it just for the cute packaging but ended up loving the balm.

Cute little pandas!

I recently purchased a huge amount of stuff from UO online because of course in Canada they don’t have nearly the amount of stuff in store that the States has. I fell in love with Tony Moly when I bought the Lip shaped Honey lip balm from Sephora.com. The day I got it, I immediately got back online and ordered the blueberry and of course one for each of my sisters and my mom. Now they’ve started carrying a little more of the line and I have ordered everything. The lip balms are really nice on and I don’t find that the scents are overly strong. I also bought the Apply, Tangerine and Peach handcream and practically have to fight my dog off when I put any of them on. She already loves to lick any type of cream I put on, but I think she prefers these! And again the scent is really nice, the tangerine is my favourite. I’m really picky with hand creams and found that these hydrate my hands really well without being super greasy. They absorb in pretty quickly and stay on until I wash my hands. I’m currently waiting for my UO order to arrive with more of the Tony Moly stuff that Sephora does’t have. Really loving this brand so far.
Now after reading this post I’m itching to get back online and see what other beauty gems they have. And I just might have to add a quick trip into the store onto my to do list after work today.
