Peonies. 🙂
I received them as a gift this week.
Aren’t they beautiful?
Buuuuuut, they aren’t cat-friendly, so I have them on a very high shelf in a room Tabs isn’t allowed to go into.
I also love freesia, hydrangeas and sunflowers…and about a zillion other flowers, LOL!
What are your favorite flowers?

Orchids are top of my list but on my patio, I love Dahlias!! I inherited my mothers green thumb, my apt has 3 trees, 2 spiderplants and an elephant ear plant.. summer my patio is a mini garden all on its own… Only thing I can’t grow is African Violets & Christmas cactus’. The peonies are beautiful but being not cat friendly, they are a no no as my kitties taste test everything!
Majick says
put your african violets in a bright but not direct sunny location. only water buy putting the pot in a dish of water and let the plant absorb all it can in 15 mins. then take it out. I feed mine with Shcultz african violet food.
They bloom all the time! My Mom was really good at AVs and I think I must have picked up on it. 🙂
good luck!

Tulips are my favorite flower hands down but I do have 4 peony bushes in my yard. I would love to cut them to bring them into the house but they have so many ants that it’s a pain to get them out of all those layers. The first year I had them I killed all the bugs and my flowers never bloomed. Little did I know the ants were necessary for them to grow. Oops!

I love lilies — so exotic yet so easy to grow.
In the fall, I love Mums…they’re just so lush and the colors can be just fabulous.

I love flowers in general. They make me happy. Sadly, I don’t have a green thumb & I don’t know a lot about them. I do, however, know of beautiful hydrangeas. My wedding was chocolate & powder blue. Blue is my favorite color & I adore blue hydrangeas. Actually, I like all hydrangeas. But I’m partial to blue. Your flowers are very pretty!

So beautiful!! Lilacs are my favorite. 🙂

Those are absolutely beautiful!! I love flowers, but my feline girls have a tendency to chew on them all. If they don’t chew on them, then they knock the vase over, spilling water all over the place. Thanks for posting this, I had no idea Peonies were not cat friendly. I knew that lilies are poisonous to cats if they ingest even a little bit.

Hi Tatiana!
How many kitties do you have? And how long have you been “assisting” them? LOL Tabs and I have been together for 8 years.
Erin says
They are one my favs too!

I LOVE peonies! They remind me of my Dad. When I was a kid we had bushes of pink ones across the front yard and an oval “island” of white and dark pink ones on the side of the house. My Father was always bringing in HUGE bouquets of them for us to enjoy.
I’ve been trying to grow them for years and we have a few bushes and last year bought 2 peony trees. Over the harsh winter we lost one peony tree (top half, not sure what is growing there right now LOL it didn’t bloom this year) but the other one had 3 of the biggest blooms I’ve seen since my Dad’s house.
I think this was my year of the peony because all of our bushes produced this year and I was able to have my very first HUGE (ok 5 stems) bouquet. 🙂
My cat ‘the BOosh’ doesn’t seem to bother with them much. Her private catnip garden could have something to do with that. LOL
Your flowers and pictures are just gorgeous!
