Oh, boy, sweets, I think your niece is going to be a handful. This baby… She does not stop wiggling! I tried to take pictures of her in this lovely outfit with mixed prints, and for the life of me I couldn’t get her to sit still.
Notice how her limbs are always in a different position!
It’s a good thing, I suppose, and it’s great to see that she’s active and interested and playful (although I may live to regret those words when she’s running around the house like a bouncy kitten).
El Hub has a theory that she’s going to be a high energy baby, and I’m inclined to agree. This week she discovered her feet, and now when she’s lying on her back she uses them to scoot herself across the floor. She also just figured out how to turn herself over. I found her in her baby gym on her tummy with her head up.
It’s exciting and scary at the same time. Our little angel is officially on the move!
Oh, and this outfit is yet another example of baby clothes that I wish were available in adult sizes, LOL! I’d wear striped rainbow pants with a polka-dot shirt in a hot second. Wouldn’t you?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Kim says
I absolutely would wear that. I love these updates. Thanks for sharing!
Karen says
All you’d have to add is some rainbow shoes. Or maybe black Docs with rainbow laces, LOL! 🙂
Do you have any kids, Kim?
Sara says
She is too cute! Where did you get those pants?! I need to buy those for my girl!
Karen says
Hi Sara,
The pants are from Target! I believe they’re by Circo. 🙂 They have a lot of cute prints which you can mix and match, and everything is very affordable. They hold up pretty well in the wash too!

Even though I do sometimes wish it was different for a second, I love the high energy my daughter shows everyday. Yes, she is a handful, but I wouldnt want it any other way.
Karen says
Yes, it’s so fun! 🙂

She is gorgeous! What a little cutie x

Those footsies!!! 🙂
Karen says
She’s figured out how to kick them off, sigh!
kwmechelle says
I’d only wear this if I looked this cute wearing them! These daily Connor Claire updates (and blog posts from you) are everything! 🙂
Karen says
Girl, you could rock the rainbow pants! You have the sass!
kwmechelle says
Then that settles it! *adds cute stretchy rainbow pants to my wishlist* ?
Kellee says
It’s so great to see the updates and pictures of Connor Claire. She really is so adorable. This is the fun time….when they start learning how to do more things little by little. 🙂
Karen says
I’m glad you enjoy them, Kellee! I love sharing her. 🙂 It’s so fun to watch her discover new things. I can’t wait until she starts really crawling and trying to explore the world. Do you have any kids?
Kellee says
Yes! It’s definitely great to watch them explore!
No, I don’t have any kids yet…..just a niece, nephew and God-daughter! And I’ve been around a lot of babies and kids. They are so much fun!
Karen says
Before Connor I didn’t have a lot of experience with babies, but now I kind of have baby fever, LOL! She’s so much fun to be around (most of the time).
Lucky you that you get to be “the cool auntie” to your neice, nephew and goddaughter! 😀
Kellee says
Yes, it’s fun being the cool auntie! I can understand! Being around the babies and kiddies has given me baby fever! 🙂
Karen says
Baby fever is kind of funny. Now when I’m out and about I’m always checking out other babies. 🙂 Do you think you might want to have kids soon?
Chelsea says
Love her rainbows! I was a high energy kid. I guess before the age of one, mom had gone to the bathroom and had to run out of there partway because she heard little Chelsea toddling across the piano keys.
Karen says
Oh my gosh, too funny! I have the feeling that something similar is going to happen to me, LOL. When she figured out how to scoot across the floor the other day it was hilarious. I set her down in the baby gym and I looked away for a minute, and next thing you know she was halfway across the floor! Baby is officially on the move. I think she’d give Mina a run for her money. 😉
Chelsea says
They’d love each other! Jiji’s not always active enough for her tastes.
Karen says
Yeah, the same thing happens with Tabs. 😀 He only shows up when Connor wants to take a nap. When it’s playtime? Forget about it!
Tabs and Jiji should start a kitty club where like-minded kitties meet to take naps, haha!
Chelsea says
My mom has a husky black kitty named Houghton (Hoho) who would join!
Karen says
The meetings could start with introductions, then a round of catnip, some light grooming, then an extended nap in a sunny spot of choice.
Honestly it sounds like a club that I want to join right now, HAHA! I could use a nap.
Ruchita says
Aww, she is so adorable and fashionable! I wish I could rock stripey pants and pink socks like her. 🙂
Karen says
Rainbow stripey pants should be a thing, I think! 😀
How have you been, Ruchita? It feels like forever since we’ve talked. Are the kitties having a good summer so far?
Ruchita says
Things have been going well! Just been busy lately with work. Looking forward to the long weekend. I’ve got bunch books checked out from the library and that’s about the extent of my plans. 🙂
The kitties are enjoying the warm weather. Although when it gets really hot poor Mingus starts panting. We have a bird feeder in the backyard which they like. Hummingbirds also show up, which is very cool.
Oh and we’ll be in the San Diego area sometime in September to visit my sister-in-law. Looking forward to being near the ocean!
Erin says
I have polka dot pants, 2 pairs actually! They are PJ’s though!
Tatiana says
She is still the most adorable baby girl on the planet. Cute outfit. I used to love Target for kids clothes. They grow so fast, so it makes no sense to spend a fortune on their clothes. I used to look for ads on bulletin boards (on line and in person) for gently used baby and kids clothes and then when my girl outgrew them, I’d sell them, too.
My girl was a high energy baby and she still has tons of energy to this day. She was climbing the built in bookcases by the time she was three. Sports were a good way to channel all that energy as she was growing up. Swimming, soccer, ice skating, lacrosse, biking, horse riding, white water rafting, sleep away summer camps. Those things kept me sane.
One tip. Find a service that will go through and assess your home and baby proof it for you. I said no to some things, but didn’t think of other things. It was worth it to not have to put cabinet locks and outlet covers on every spot by ourselves.

One of my good friends has a high energy daughter, and while sometimes it’s exhausting it’s really fun to see her already be so independent and assertive!
Connor Claire is the most adorable baby model! She could sell tons of this striped/polka dots outfit, lol!
denise S says
Too cute! She reminds me of you Karen. Lots of energy!
