A few pics from lunch with my friends, Jen and Cindy, at the Absinthe Brasserie & Bar in SF.
We started with a side of french fries and a round of lemonades made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, ginger syrup, cranberry juice and ginger ale.

The restaurant’s known for their burgers, so Jen ordered the hamburger with Marin Sun Farms ground beef, aioli, red onion, lettuce and house-made pickles.

Cindy got a grilled cheese & portobello mushroom sandwich with goat cheese, provolone, fennel, broccoli rabe, pesto and bacon.

I choose the dungeness crab omelette with hen of woods mushrooms, spinach, garlic and Meyer lemon.

We also split a single fall butternut squash pancake with cinnamon butter, whipped mascarpone and Vermont maple syrup, but we ate it all before I could take a pic. Whoops!
By the end of the meal, all our plates were empty, and I left feeling full but not uncomfortably stuffed. Highly recommended if you’re ever in SF and want a good meal!
All of that looks amazing. I’ll have to check out that place soon.
I’ll take the fries, the lemonade, and that omelette, please! I love a good seafood omelette!
Yum!
It’s my dream to visit San Francisco, maybe one day I could sit in that place myself

What you gals ordered looks AMAZING! How were the legendary fries? Were they one of the best you’ve ever had?

OMG…that food looks and sounds sooooo good! Why don’t they have places like this where I live? I am literally drooling thinking about that grilled cheese sandwich!
Why oh why won’t they open an Absinthe in NY???? *cries*
Amazing… and I so want that bowl of fries right now!
Oh my GOODNESS, those fries! Too bad you’d never see a mountain like that in Japan. Omelettes make me very happy and that one looks SO good!
