Lunch at SPQR Restaurant in San Francisco

Salad with carrots and lentils

I had lunch last Friday at SPQR, an Italian-inspired restaurant in San Francisco’s Fillmore district. The food was good but the portions were on the smaller side, so you may need to order a few plates to feel full.

I can’t remember the name of this, but it was vegan and had kale inside

Everything looks delicious! I actually prefer restaurants that do smaller portions (provided the price reflects the portion of course). I don’t have that much space but I want to taste everything!

OMG Karen, totally living vicariously right now. I would love some mushroom risotto and Tiramisu right about now! You said the portions were small- is it more of a small plate restaurant or just gourmet and delicious? My hubs and I are putting this on our next-California-vacation list!

    Those scallops look delicious!

    What a fancy little place!

  5. We seem to have such similar palates, Karen–literally, whenever you post about food that you order from restaurants, they’re always dishes that I would order myself. Love kale, OBSESSED with mushroom ANYTHING (and always love a good mushroom risotto), and scallops AND beets together? NOM! Omg I really want a beet salad now…*drools*
