There’s a good reason why you’re looking at a picture of me wearing pizza pajamas while pretending to sleep on my bed hugging this crazy-@ss pillow, and it is because the Leachco Snoogle is the best friend to sleep-deprived ladies everywhere (pregnant or otherwise), I kid you not.
And you don’t have to be pregnant to enjoy the benefits of the Snoogle. You just have to want/need the most awesomest pillow EVER.
El Hub gave it a try the other night, and it blew his mind. “Wow,” he said. “Damn.” His exact words.
I’ve been talking about sleep a lot (for the past eight years, LOL!), but it’s been worse than usual lately. I guess that my tum reached the pregnancy tipping point. I thought the bump was baby cute and small for a long time, but now it’s massive and rapidly gaining ground!
In the few days before the Snoogle, I wasn’t getting any sleep at all. Everything ached, and my improv multi-pillow homemade cocoon, which I called “the pregnancy doughnut,” wasn’t cutting it anymore. My neck, shoulders, back and hips ached. One morning I just hit my limit, so I went to Babies “R” Us and got the Leachco Snoogle.
That night I slept the whole night through, thanks to the magic Snoogle. 🙂
It costs about $60, but after you’ve gone three days without hardly any sleep, $60 seems like a bargain. You can’t put a price tag on a good night’s sleep. BEST $60 I’VE EVER SPENT!
So, what is the Snoogle?
It’s a large curved body pillow shaped kind of like a letter “C,” and it has a removable, washable cover. You sort of sleep on your side with it, but you can also use it and sleep on your back. To sleep on your side, one end goes under your head, the curve supports your back, and the other end goes between your legs.
And you can also flip it around and hug the back end of the “C” if you want.
Normally, I’m not a side sleeper. I’m usually a back sleeper, but sleeping on my back has been too uncomfortable lately.
When I sleep with the Snoogle, I sleep on my side, and everything just seems to align perfectly. I sleep the whole night through and wake up in the morning without any aches or pains. Ah…
The Leachco Snoogle. Man, if you know anyone who’s pregnant, or trying to get pregnant, or is just desperate to get a good night’s sleep and willing to give anything a try, get them a Snoogle. They’ll be lovin’ you for the rest of their life.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I use my breastfeeding pillow for that purpose, it has a similar shape. If I don’t have anything I can rest my upper leg on when sleeping on my side I feel like it has been ripped out at my hips the next morning!

I’m so glad you found a sleep helper!! If it’s any comfort, I slept much better when I was pregnant than I did when I tore my ACL (so don’t do that – HAHA!). Even as a back sleeper, it is tough to stay in that position with your leg elevated all night. 🙁 Keep getting your rest!!

What a great product, wish I had that when I was pregnant. I didn’t have bad problem sleeping until my sixth month. I usually sleep on my side, but it was definitely uncomfortable. I must have used every pillow in the house. I could still use something like that now with menopause and problems sleeping. I agree with Kim’s comment above, keep getting as much rest as possible.

I vouch for this pillow too! It is a lifesaver…on a side note, I need your pajamas, they are the best! Can you tell us where they are from?
Allyson says
I second this – I NEED those in my life! Where can I snag ’em?
Karen says
I bought it at Babies R Us, but I’ve also seen it online at Amazon.

After the last few nights I’ve had this sounds mighty tempting!

I might be the only one who doesn’t like this pillow! I bought it a couple months back and tried it one night. After 5 mins I threw it off the bed haha it was too big and not soft, but I got a regular body pillow at bed bath and beyond and have been loving that!

I bought this with my first and it was the best purchase. I just hit 17 weeks with my second and just got it out again. Now, if I could just mute my husband’s snoring, I’d get the best sleep.

Where was this 20 years ago when I was pregnant?! I’m so glad it’s working for you.

I’m not pregnant (and hopefully never will be!) but I still want this.

Karen, I have something similar to this. It’s a body pillow that I got from Hammacher Schlemmer that’s shaped like an enormous “U”. This pillow was originally designed for people with fibromyalgia, which I have. Ever since I got this pillow last year, my sleep has been so much better. With fibro, it’s hard to fall asleep & stay asleep, and we don’t get the really restful REM sleep. But this pillow has helped tremendously. When your sleep is disturbed, regardless of the issue, everything just falls apart. I can completely understand and empathize!
You can find the fibro pillow at hammacherschlemmer.com
Hey, I was wondering if you were going to your in-laws for Christmas??

Cute pic of you. Well posed 🙂
I use body pillows every night.

This looks awesome! I have lower back issues and I think this could be helpful. Waking up without aches and pains sounds awesome! Glad you are getting some rest. 🙂

The best thing they had way back when I was pregnant was a full body length pillow. It was a good 5 feet long and came with a fleece cover. (Good in northern Europe winters). I slept with that thing till it fell apart. I now use a king sized pillow. But seeing this pillow, I might just have to splurge and get one. I’m working with a new trainer trying to get back into shape and the two nights after my workout days are just heck trying to find a comfortable sleep position.
Love those jammies! I need to find a set.

Glad you found a good pillow to help you rest! My day is shot when I don’t sleep well. This seems like a good gift for my daughter. She likes to chill in her bed on her computer ,reading and relaxing . Her old long body pillow is beat-up. PS: My mom loved the migraine patches you told me about!!! She uses them in conjunction with analgesics (excedrin, tylenol) and she said they really made a difference . She’s going to order more! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RECOMMENDATION!!!!

I hate to get personl, but are you working out? I swear t got me thru two preganacies with very minimal aches and pains, and I was working crazy hours right up until labor. I never would have made it thru my first labor (pushed for four hours) if I hadn’t forced myself to keep in shape all thru the pregnancy. I have to think it helped with the little aches and pains as well. The worst interruption of my sleep came from the pregnancy induced stuffy nose, which goes away miraculously within hours of delivery!! I couldn’t take it with a baby at home, work and being pregnant, so I did use Afrin during my second. But again, need was gone within hours of delivery. There were always body pillows around, they may not have been marketed towards pregnant consumers. New parents have become big business!! Good luck, and I saw your bump in the mirror of the Laura Mercier mirror! You don’t have too long to go, and then sleep deprivation brings on an entirely new meaning!! Enjoy it while you can!!

That looks positively dreamy! I always use a long pillow, or when travelling, use two pillows, one between knees and one to wdge my head, like what you are doing. I used to sleep on my tummy, now mostly on my side. No sleep problems yet, though finding I need to turn on sides more.

I so need to get this! My man always teases me that I sleep A LOT! Little did he know what he was getting himself into when he started dating a Filipina. ?
