Wanna up the ante? Try chocolate pecan pie (sometimes referred to as Derby Pie) It takes pecan pie to a whole new ethereal level. I make both and I much prefer the chocolate version. Amazing, wonderful, yummy, heaven on a plate with a cloud of whipped cream on the top.

its from a local bakery close to us, and yes, there was a line the day before thanksgiving at 6am when i went to go get the pies!

Eee I went to La Boulange while I was in San Francisco! Their macaroons were quite good and I really enjoyed their quiches.
