GURRRRL, you know I had to do it. When I saw the words, “Future Lady Nerd,” at Target, it took me less than two seconds to get that onesie in my cart.
These cute baby clothes are by a new brand — well, new to me — called Baby Cat & Jack.
I’d never seen them at the Target by my house before, and target.com says they don’t even launch until August, so I guess this store got them in early.
They feel really soft and sturdy and pretty well made. And they’re affordable. The onesies are $4.99, and the set with the top and pants is $10.
So often when I see onesies with sayings on them for girls, they’re things like “Born to shop!” which, yeah, not the most inspiring message, but I can get behind something that promotes future lady nerdiness. 🙂 If Connor wants to be an astronaut on one of the first missions to Mars, I’m in total support of that (although I’d miss her terribly if she were 40 million miles away in space, waaah!).
I ended up getting the “Morning Person” onesie because Connor is, like her daddy, a total morning person, and I also got the other set with the — what is that, a bear? Or a cat? I couldn’t resist the print and the matching pants with the ears and the eyelashes on the knees.
Yet another baby outfit I wish I could find in adult sizes. That list is getting alarmingly long, LOL!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I LOVE these onesies. Especially that they aren’t like, completely devoted to female stereotypes that you see so often in kids clothes. Wordplay on onesies is one of the things I look forward to the most when it comes to having kids.

Love these! I think some of my friends with little ones would appreciate the Morning Person onesie!

OMG what time does Connor get up in the morning? Sarah is a morning person too but a late morning person… like 8:30 at the earliest. Gotta love a late riser! Sometimes I can even wake up at 8:30 and have coffee in peace for an hour. 🙂
I love that animal top and pants, and of course the lady nerd onesie.

Baby clothes are much cuter now a days. I used to dress my daughter in little boy clothes to avoid the stereotypical baby girl sayings.

So adorable! I went shopping at Babies r Us with my mother-in-law for a baby shower, and we spent so much time looking at the cute clothes. Wish they made onesies for cats, lol!

These are such cute onesies and those paints with eyelashes are so adorable. <3

Ooh if the Target here in Australia get that Future Lady Nerd onesie, I’m totally buying it!

If CC wants to learn how to be a really cool lady nerd, Aunt Chris can give some lessons. 😀

Those onesies are too cute! I would love them for myself, but somehow a 56 year old woman in a onesie is not a pretty sight. BTW, just saw a post that Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale starts July 22nd. Some gorgeous things for sale!!!!

That second outfit is so cute!!! I love it. I would totally wear that top and leggings if they came in adult sizes. Perfect for lounging around the house. 🙂

The entire Cat & Jack line for babies and big boys and girls is totally adorable (it even includes shoes!). There are so many really cute girls things. There is this purple and teal satin bomber jacket that i would totally rock if it came in adult sizes! This new line is replacing Circo, so be on the lookout for major clearance on Circo items soon. I work at Target and the Cat & Jack baby hasn’t been released yet, so if your Target has them on the floor, they made a mistake and you are lucky! Enjoy!

Hi Quicha,
I’m kind of sad to see Circo go; I really like their fun and colorful style. Thanks for the heads up on the clearance! I’ll keep a look out. 🙂

Karen, I was mistaken or misinformed. The Cat & Jack baby wasn’t supposed to be released until August, but I was at work tonight and the onsizies in your pic as well as a few other cute things were on the floor. I guess they released early. At any rate, I know for certain Circo is leaving, so keep an eye out for those sales and don’t forget to use Cartwheel!

Is it possible to not like something called Cat & Jack? I can only assume the cute animal faces are cats to reinforce the brand. Regardless, adorable! 🙂
