It’s not often when you can visit SF and walk around in a dress, sweater and sandals and NOT be cold, although it does happen…and when it does, it’s usually in September or October. Sometimes it’s hard to predict Karl the Fog (that’s what they call it) and our unpredictable Bay Area microclimates.
But my trip to SF yesterday went well! Thank you very much for the maternity clothes recommendations. I found some pretty good prospects at H&M, and I’m keeping a list of the ideas you gave me in my cat lady day planner. I’ll show you what I found yesterday in a little while, but I have a couple other things I have to do first.
In the meantime, San Francisco says hello. 🙂
I hope you’re having a nice Friday so far and have something exciting to look forward to this weekend.
I might actually be playing a roleplaying game tonight with El Hub (it’s this new one he likes called Shadow of the Demon Lord…even though I know that sounds scary, but it’s like Dungeons & Dragons). I gave him an I.O.U. on his birthday that I’d play it with him, so he’s going to be the GM (game master), and I’m going to be the adventuring hero, so that should be fun… This all sounds very nerdy to me, but I’m open to the idea.
I’m wondering if I should be a human, a halfling or an elf. Hmm… Tough decisions.
Talk to you soon.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. TGIF!!

Wow, San Francisco looks so pretty! Almost like a laid-back Manhattan. 🙂 Congratulations on your baby Karen, you look absolutely gorgeous!

I didn’t know that MAC sold baby clothes! I miss San Francisco so much- I need to get back there. And Karen- you are positively glowing (and not because of make up). Congratulations!
Karen says
Hi Annie,
I wish they sold baby clothes! I want an all-black onesie for Baby Girl with a MAC logo, LOL! I went to the MAC store to look around, and I shopped for clothes at H&M. 🙂

I missss Frisco so much! I love it’s consistently cool weather! I haven’t seen a free-standing MAC/MAC boutique in ages (drooling)! & are you showing or is that just your dress???
Karen says
Hi Cory,
Yes, Baby Girl is popping out. 🙂 I’m 14 weeks along and so the bump is in the house.
TGIF! What are you up to this weekend?
Cory says
Oooh! 3n1/2 months! I haven’t been pregnant in a while, but you start to feel them move around 4 or 5 months/16-20 weeks (if I remember correctly), & it is so weird at 1st! Lol it feels like …idk, it’s just strange, I can’t wait to hear what you think about it!
7/8 months is when it starts to get really real & you’re like—”this is happening!”, or at least that’s how I was lol
As for my weekend, nada. Chilling at home!
I hope you’re having a great Caturday!

My husband loves RP’s too so I play with him every Saturday. We used to have a Sunday game group which was a rotating mix or RP’s and board games over brunch with PLENTY of mimosas. That was always my favorite. The games are fun but I couldn’t play more than a few times a month because they take FOREVER! I played before we met too but it’s never been a passion. I much prefer video games and board games.
I miss SF so much!

You are such a cute pregnant lady! Congrats Karen, so happy for you.

Enjoy your nerdy little adventure. I love RPGs myself and meet up with some friends around once a month to play. Mr. Loca never got into them…
Trude says
Such a cute outfit! SF is so weird with how randomly cold it will be on a sunny day.
And I’m just SO excited for you guys! Motherhood looks good on you already. 🙂

Great pics! This looks like the perfect day. I lived most of my life on the Central Coast of California and Fall was always the best time of year weather wise.
Karen says
Hi Rebecca,
Fall is the best season here! How long did you live on the Central Coast? Are you still in California?
Rebecca Russell says
I’m 42 and was there all except 3 years in San Diego and 18 months in Washington. After Washington we were back for a year but moved up to Oregon in March. I miss it but it just got to be too expensive. My brother has lived in Oakland for years but I rarely made it up that way. Congrats on your little one by the way!

I have never been to SF…it is on my list of destinations though!

Thank you so much for sharing these photos! Brings back so many good memories even though i have not been there in so long. i must go back. Such a pretty city! By the way, I went in July (um, did someone say cold?) and I did not heed my friends weather warnings, so I spent the whole time in her oversized sweatpants and sweatshirts! Bathing suit..not so much!

I loved it there, alot different from Florida! Thanks for sharing the pics. And where did you get those shades? I love those!
