Darla, my oldest, always took it to a whole nother level. She used to steal dirty socks and put them in her litter box. I think she was trying to collect all the smelly things into one area.
I came home from work one day and found her dragging a pair of my pajama bottoms across the kitchen towards the laundry room, where the litter box lives. She had to sort of waddle since they were dragging underneath her. Soon as I walked in the door she sort of went “Ptoo” and dropped them. Then she walked away like there was nothing going on at all.
Ella the Maine Coon does too! She loves nothing more than to roll around on my mom’s big pile of shoes! And whenever a stranger sheds shoes in the front hall she rolls around on those too! I’ve also seen her sitting on top of sweaty snowy clothes (just in from a sledding adventure.) She’s even stolen the insoles from shoes to chew on them! So nasty!
I don’t know what it is with cats and dirty laundry…but one of ours (we have three kitty-monsters) has a NEW habit – he opens and empties my sock drawer. But the funniest thing was, when the youngest decided to sleep in the messy sock drawer 😀 At least he slept in clean laundry…
My cat is obsessed with bras and dirty Q-tips. She licks all the ear wax off the Qtips that don’t make it into the trash can (which makes me sick to my stomach) and will run around dragging a bra by the strap if she can get it out of the hamper.
I have a dog and she loves stinky things! She loves playing with my boyfriends socks when he takes them off. The most adorable thing was when she fell asleep with her face in his shoe when she was a puppy. Although our clothes don’t “stink,” they smell like us, she loves laying on anything we’ve been wearing.
Yes! My cat Ella loves shoes. I have numerous pictures with her lounging on my shoes that I’ve taken off when I get home from work. Her favorite are my husband’s fuzzy slippers that he wears around the house. Sometimes she’ll attack them and stick her face right inside. She also likes to tuck her paws inside and take a nap on them. 🙂
When one of my boys was a baby (I have three, can’t remember which one!), my late kitty Chelsea supervised me changing a particularly stinky diaper on the nursery room floor. I left the diaper long enough to pass the baby off to my hubby who was waiting in the bathroom to bathe him. Came back with a diaper bag to dispose of the mess and found Chelsea furiously trying to cover the diaper as if it were a giant kitty poo!! Obviously, she agreed with me on the stink factor!
PS to all of you who have kitties named Ella: my two year old Golden Retriever’s name is EllaBelle Sassafras (Ella, for short!)
So funny that everyone’s kittehs love the stinky feet! My tabby Scout practically makes love to my sweaty disgusting feet when I take my shoes off after a workout. He smooshes his head down into my toes and just rubs around like my damp, smelly feet are catnip…so gross! Weirdly, my other cat does not love stanky things at all.
My cat Lestat, a 25lb black and white short hair, looooves dirty clothes, and bringing poor dead things (mainly snakes) home. And I feel for mkdallas, Lestat rubs his face against my feet and in my armpit when I come home from working out while I’m getting something to drink in the kitchen-ew. His brother, also a 25 (although he might be 20lb now-they’re both 9), Jean Claude, has a habit of hiding my dirty clothes and my friend Sig’s. I’ve been running low on socks for a while now, and have to replace them lol.

Grace makes biscuits on my fuzzy slippers. I need to wash them but I haven’t been able to get them away from her!

Tabs’ face says, “Why wouldn’t I want to surround myself with your shoes when you’ve seasoned them so nicely?” lol~ <3

I live far away from Felicia (my cat-owner) but I miss her terribly. This keeps me happy: http://catversushuman.blogspot.com/

LOL, cat-owner. That’s very cute, Mariana. Tabs certainly treats me that way.
Love that comic! The writer/illustrator is from the Bay Area, woo hoo!

When I shower after a workout, my boy cat has to lie on my sweaty workout clothes that I’ve thrown on the floor.
