I put one of Paul & Joe’s three new $18 Lip Treatment Balms (which they refer to as “flavors”) on my lips before bed last night, and when Tabs woke me up this morning (and BTW, he’s been biting me lately!), I ended up with cat hair all up in my grill. #catladyproblems
This clear balm is so long-lasting, so thick and so rich that it stays put the ENTIRE evening, all through the night, and lasts so long that you can still feel it on your lips the next morning.
And after plucking all the hair from my lips (why is this tabby so furry?!), my lips looked great and felt fantastically soft, smooth and flake-free.
They work in two ways at the same time — as both a lip treatment and as a primer for lipsticks (but you can, of course, also wear them without other products). Paul & Joe infused them with moisturizing olive oil, and they create a smooth surface for additional lip colors. The formula is very sticky and sits right at skin level, which may be one of the reasons for their incredible wear time.
The three “flavors” include a pink and white floral tin containing a spearmint and sweet almond balm, a limited edition bee-bedecked tin containing a ginger and honey balm (don’t worry, the ginger is more sweet than spicy), and a blue and pink floral tin containing an Earl Grey tea, bergamot and lemon balm, and I’m happy to say that I think each one smells and tastes just like its description.
Look for them on Paul & Joe counters and b-glowing.com this October.
PRICE: $18 each
AVAILABILITY: Two are limited edition, and one is permanent. They arrive October 2015 at Paul & Joe counters and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A- (highly moisturizing but super sticky…which some folks might not like)

I love lip balms like that. Right now I’m using the agave lip mask from Bite beauty but it’s so hard to get it out of the tube sometimes. I’ll have to try this one out next. I too get cat hair on my lips especially when Tulip wants me to kiss her on the head.
By the way…why is Tabs biting you? Tulip only bites me when we’re playing don’t touch my belly

I’m not much of a lip balm tin person (prefer sticks), but the packaging is so lovely that I may have to pick up at least one 🙂

Wait, there’s an Earl Grey flavor? Oooh I really need that!

Oh my GOODNESS, do I need to flag some of these down!! October??? I want them NOW. Especially the earl grey and the honey ginger biznass. Gah! Way too freakin cute, and I love me a good balm/lip treatment.

I love ginger and honey combined (I love ginger anyway. Like those chewy, really hot but sweet ginger candies they sell in the Mexican and Asian markets? I am insanely in love with those.)
I’m not a fan of Earl Gray Tea, though.

That Earl Grey one sounds delightful! Do you know which two are limited edition?

These look amazing & I’m kind of a sucker for little tins of anything! Lip balms now out-number pens in my handbag & lemme tell ya, I carry a minimum of a half dozen pens at any given time.

You know what? Just hearing their names alone made me wanna eat them. Yep, I’m that girl who always got the Bonnie Bell lip smackers to eat. Love the moisturizing vibe of these. While you didn’t report that they’re all natural, the ingredient list alone sounds divine. And of course they’re in the typical cute P&J packaging. Clearly, their marketing to girls like me who wear (read: eat) flavored, moisturizing lip balm. Obvs…

Hmmm, despite the stickiness I am intrigued! Also: that tin, awww!

I don’t mind the stickiness at all for nighttime use and am definitely interested in these. They sound fab! Another quick balm question for you. I love the Anna Sui Lip Balm Jelly but it seems to only be available in the Holiday kit. They also have a Rouge Pot lip balm (the ones that change color with your lip temp). Do you remember liking that/is it the same as the Jelly?

I have to have this — why can’t this be out now? I’m always on the hunt for a good lip balm with honey. My lips are so dry and I always need to prep my lips. The packaging is super cute to boot!

These sound right up my alley. And the tins are so pretty. Love the graphics Paul & Joe creates for their packaging.

I am all about the Earl Grey flavor!

Can’t wait to try these. I love the packaging!
Also, if the cat keeps biting you I would take him to the vet. The same thing happened to me and it turns out that my girl had developed hyperthyroidism. It can make them feel nervous which they exhibit by biting. Just FYI.

All the flavors sound good but I don’t know about the sticky factor.
