To quote the great Elvis Presley, “Lord Almighty, I feel my temperature risin’!”
Could it be? — Burning Love? A NARS Lipgloss named after my favorite Elvis song, ever?
Something tells me The King might not be edgy enough (anymore) to get his own too-cool-for-school NARS reference, but a girl can dream… I want to believe that The King’s rhinestone-encrusted jumpsuits played a part in this shimmer. 🙂
Burning Love, a bright ruby with subtle shimmer, is one of three new $26 Lipglosses in the 13-pieced Laced With Edge holiday collection, along with shimmery pink raspberry Corsica and shimmery pink champagne Soleil D’Orient.
You can find them twinkling at NARS boutiques and online October 15, and at department and specialty stores beginning November 1.
Same NARS gloss formula, non-sticky, unflavored and comfortable, even on my dry lips.

I really like the shade Corsica. Soleil D’Orient is too shimmery though!

Soleil D’Orient is so beautiful!!!

Somehow these lipglosses aren’t floating my boat! 😐
Kiss & Make-up says
Corsica looks good. But that’s just first impressions of course.
Nathasja says
Yeah! That’s my favorite Elvis song also! Of course lilo and stitch helps as well. I love me some stitch! Corsica looks nice swatched, but I can’t really get into the frosty shimmery pearly stuff so soleil is a definite no go for me. Thanks !

Ooh these look gorgeous, especially Soleil D’Orient!

Corsica has gone straight to the top of my wishlist!

Karen Hi,
I have a question for you
here it is, if you go to buy a drugstore product and you have the choice of two, you get one of them , but doubt about the other one, U test the one you bough and you are not pleased, you still thinking about the other product, you go back to the same store and you see the store right where you left it. you go back a couple of days later, this time you decide to get the product anyway. You find it right at the same spot you left it. Is this product meant to be bought by you?
Karen says
Haha! 🙂 Icequeen81, yes, just one person’s opinion, but yes, I would say say that the scenario you described would indicate that a purchase of said drugstore product would be in order, particularly if the store in question will let you return the original product.
Icequeen81 says
Here they wont let you, that is a shame 🙁

I like the looks of all three in the swatch, but perhaps especially Corsica, for being an eminently wearable pink, and Soleil d’Orient, for having an awesome name and being unashamedly shimmery…

I’m with you 100% on Burning Love. I started singing it immediately, as soon as I read the words. How could it not be inspired by the King? It’s also one of my fave Elvis songs. Viva Las Vegas and A Little Less Conversation are also up there. 🙂

Hey, Karen, I am so late to the party! Better late than never!
I just purchased Burning Love and Corsica! But the white shimmery sun/soleil one would just make my less-than full-lips look more less-than-full!
I think that today I shift into holiday gear. Still in third, but thank you for the jump start.
Karen says
Hi Debra,
Oooh, great gloss choices! Did anything else from NARS holiday catch your eye?
I am full on in holiday mode at the moment. 🙂
Debra says
I went for the trio and bought the Soleil d’Orient too! Good for layering and it is not all that shimmery on its own.
Fear of disco ball lips has been conquered!
