Just in case you’ve started looking for pretty eyeshadow palettes to stuff into stockings. 🙂
Every year MAC gets into the seasonal holiday collection spirit by releasing a number of limited edition eye palettes, face palettes, makeup kits and sets, usually with an overarching theme and special packaging.
This year’s theme: keepsakes.
Each of the three Keepsakes Eyes palettes — Beige, Smoky and Plum — house eight powder eyeshadows in a mix of re-promoted and brand new shades, and they’re all coming to the MAC website starting October 19, then to North American MAC stores and counters October 23 through December 18, and to all international locations sometime in November.
Isn’t the packaging pretty? I like it, but I’m a little worried about the plastic pearl fringing around the edge… It has a little wiggle to it, and I’m afraid it might break.
Awfully pretty, though.

I love these palettes especially the Beige one! Im just hoping the quality has not been compromised here!
Agata says
I love Mac’s holiday collections. But I’m waiting for the glitter/pigment sets.
Aditi says
These are absolutely lovely! I love the packaging, it’s so adorable. What do you think of the quality of these, Karen? I can’t help but feel like I need all three!
Ami says
Oh my goodness I LOVE them all!!!! I wish I had someone to buy make up for for Christmas other than me!!! Today I asked my dad for financial advice and he told me to stop buying make up and I’ll be fine lol…well posts like this aren’t helping!
I’m not sure which one I’d pick. They’re all really close to shadows I already have (some in multiples…) I think I’m leaning most toward the beige eyes because I don’t have as many dark browns.
Are those Tabs’ pearls?
Ankita@corallista says
The packaging is beautiful!!! Magic Moor from the Plum palette really stood out to me!
Fancie says
The first two look pretty nice but the Plum palette looks awful. I love the colors but those swatches look so struggly lol
Lulle says
I’m going to be honest here: the pigmentation looks awful. It’s not particularly surprising with MAC holiday LE sets, but still a disappointment!
Kiss & Make-up says
These are all great colors! But the pigmentation should be better.
LC says
Some of these shades look like they have absolutely terrible pigmentation! I guess that’s become par for the course with MAC’s LE stuff.
Alexy says
Is it bad that I want all 3 of them just for the packaging *.*
Rachel R. says
They are all really pretty. I was really looking forward to the plums. Magic Moor is stunning. The two darkest shades look patchy on the swatch, though.

I am so annoyed that they d/ced one of my favorite crease colors, Kid, last year. It seems a slap in the face that they included it in the palette. It’s like MAC is saying, we knew we took away one of the best products we have to make you either (1) buy other e/s that are similar or (2) buy Kid via a holiday palette with 7 other colors you may not need.
My vexedness might also be due partially to hormones unchecked.
Momo says
Um, they didn’t discontinue Kid? You can still purchase Kid in palette refill or as a full shadow?
Denise S says
I only I’d be interested in getting the plum palette but it doesn’t look too good so far.
tanvi says
Looks great Karen! Could purchase only for the packaging!
