Awww so cute!!! My brother has this Chip from Chip & Dale that my parents bought for him in Tokyo Disneyland. That thing’s now 23 years old and can’t be washed anymore, but it’s still very much loved 🙂
I on the other hand have never been attached to any toys. I kinda went from one favorite to the next, and when I was old enough I gave them all to my cousins. I’ve been told I shouldn’t tell my boyfriend about this LOL
My daughter has a bear called Blue that she was given when she was 1.5 years old and is still the favourite toy over 9 years later. 🙂 My son’s White Doggy is similarly well loved at 4 years old, lol.
I didn’t have a special stuffed animal when I was a baby, but I had a blanket that my mom had put turquoise & white gingham fabric on one side, turquoise & white yarn loom flowers all over the other side, and wide satin edging. It’s pretty worn, but I still have it & I turn 40 this Jan. Mom’s been trying to get me to get rid of it for years, because it’s very bulky & takes up a lot of room. I finally told her that she can get rid of it, but she has to make me a little square pillow from it first.
Oh oh ohhhhhh.. I love seeing cherished childhood possessions. My heart melts whenever I see a child with his/her worn animal or blankie. I still have mine and love it so. Thank you for sharing.
Karen, do you have a lovey of your own?
Aww, he is very loved. I had a toy dog called Lucy The eyes, ears and nose were made of felt and my Dad was very good at sewing them back on when they fell off, but eventually they were too small to re-attach and she’s now deaf, blind in one eye and can’t bark – she consists of a head, a body and an eye. The best childhood toys are the most battered!

I love that he looks half sad-face and half normal-face (imperfection makes us all the more adorable).
