Truth be told, I feel a little goofy wearing Illamasqua Lipstick in Posture ($24)…
I’m sure that somewhere out there, a gal/guy/space alien exists who can pull off this matte, cool-toned mauve with much aplomb, buuuut not I.
Posture, part of Illamasqua’s summer Paranormal collection, is one of those artsy colors that could look really neat if you have the right attitude and style to pull it off, but for your average 30-something-year-old cat lady, it’s kinda hard, LOL!
Posture is available now, definitely not slouching in its chair at Illamasqua counters and online.

I have to say I think this is the perfect purple for me. Even though you think it looks goofy on you, it looks really nice!

It looks great on you, Karen! At first, I was skeptical how it would turn out because it looked like a cool toned purplish mauve on the tube, but when you wore it, it looked like a mauve leaning towards biege.

After reading your intro I expected it to look pretty goofy. I actually think it looks pretty wearable on you! Granted not my favorite, but like you said, I can see it working for someone with the right flair.

I think this looks flattering on you and makes your eyes pop with the smoky-ness. I’m NC42 too, but more on the cool side. Always enjoy when you post cool-toned makeup.

It’s not your best color Karen but you can still rock it. I have a couple of lipsticks similar to this color that I love and wear occasionally. But these lavender ,mauve colored lipsticks just don’t suit my warm complexion.

I am sorry karen, its a no go on that color. Lets stick to ESP by Illamasqua. I think you really would have to wear some really dark clothing like leather to really make this look come alive. Im sorry not my cup of tea.

Not a wearable shade, but I appreciate Illamasqua’s creativity for sure! Just swatched an orange lipstick by them and now it’s at the top of my wishlist.

This looks like one of those colors that needs a shock-neutral canvas to work–in other words, the darkest of dark and the lightest of light complexions, with matching hair.
In other words, I want it like burning.

This actually doesn’t look as bad as I had imagined it to. And these shades always look really nice in editorial makeup.
