I wish I had the guts to attempt a bold look like this lol The most I do, on a usual work day, is a very neutral look, or a slight pop of color (usually one color, not 2-3 like this).
Me too! I am trying to become one with bold colors. It’s challenging, but that’s one thing I love about makeup. There’s always a new technique or trick to learn. 🙂
you know i have a bad memory !! it looks really bright but let me tell you it applies really gorgeous and you can create a subtle smokey eye for day or night
( night pile on the color a bit more and add a bit of black to it!) its really hot!
Oh, this is very inspiring. I may do my eyes today like this only using gold, blue and violet. I’m thinking of using the yellow shade of HiP’s Flamboyant on the lid with the violet shade starting half way across the lid with a blue on the outside corners and use the violet and gold shades on the bottom lashline with a line of black eyeliner and lots of mascara. It’s cold and dreary today so it’ll brighten my mood. I just need to find the right blue…
I was just thinking the same when I saw a preview of the pic on the main page!! Karen, this could be the beginning of the many EOTD/FOTD-inspired-by-nature-posts! Like I see Tabs’ fur and I wanna replicate the colors for the perfect smokey eyes!
Scary how the minds of beauty junkies work.. others see Pansies.. we see Nars Rated R duo eyeshadows!! 😀

If applied right, I think these colors would make an awesome eye look especially now that the weather is getting a bit more spring like.
