Anyone else love mechanical pencils?
My favorites are the ones with the super long twist-up erasers (I have an old teal one that I’ve had for a zillion years), and I’m partial to .5mm lead.
.5mm lead is small.
Like REALLY small.
But it’s not much smaller than the tip on these new 1.5MM Mechanical Gel Eye Liner by Hourglass ($45).
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to get between the roots of my lashes, LOL!
They come three to a pack, and you get from 17-20 uses each.
These were recently added to the permanent line for fall, and I’m taking them for a spin this weekend (cat eyes and cannonballs at the pool). I hope they’re just as waterproof and long-lasting as they claim.

P.S. In other news, Guardians of the Galaxy tonight? 🙂 I’m obsessed with Rocket Raccoon!

yay! I’m super lazy…I’ll love these…no sharpening, no liner brush to clean.

These sound promising, except for how expensive they are — for a max of 60 uses, these seem way too expensive compared to other high-end liners where there are many more uses per liner! 🙁

FASCINATING! Can’t wait to get the 411.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night! It was awesome. Gamora’s eyeshadow kept distracting me.

Ahh Karen, you’re a woman after my own heart! I too am a lover of mechanical pencils, and 0.5 leads are my favourites too! 😀 #geekout
I was so excited to see this pencil, and can’t wait to hear all your final thoughts on it!

This sounds nice! I usually do a winged look and the small tip looks like it could work well. I need to check this set out!

I want to try this for between my lashes. Normal pencils are messy there and get all over my lashes, but Obsidian looks so promising!

I saw Guardians last night. It was awesome for many reasons. 🙂 One of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen in a long time.

They are waterproof too??? Sounds like great eye liners!! I’d use them on rainy days here.

I’m interested to see how you like these. I’m sort of with Carolyn above – they seem pretty spendy for the number of uses you get.
We all liked Guardians, too. My only very small complaint is that some of the dialogue is a bit clunky. I’ve gotten used to the brilliant writing of Joss Whedon where Marvel is concerned. That said, the Guardians characters are great and the whole movie was very enjoyable!
