Deep breath. Ah…
I’ve been sniffing my hair a lot today thanks to new Herbal Essences “The Sleeker The Butter” Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner ($3 each). I washed and conditioned with both this morning and, ah…
Sorry, grabbed another sniff. Anyway, where was I?
Oh! Both the shampoo and conditioner contain cupuacu.
Yeah, I have no idea what that is… 🙂 But apparently it’s a tropical tree related to cacao, the chocolate plant, and it’s pretty great at taming wild hair. It also leaves my mane smelling exactly like coconut Life Savers, which, coincidentally, are one of my favorite candies in the whole wide world.
When I was kid, my mom would always let me grab a pack of gum or candy at the grocery store checkout line, and I’d usually go for the Tropical Life Savors. Then I’d eat all of the other flavors and save the coconut ones for last.
Look for The Sleeker The Butter Shampoo and Conditioner at drugstores and online now. A 10.1-oz. bottle of each costs $3.

I will pick this up right after I finish the Herbal Essenses Naked cleansing conditioner .. I must finish ‘something’ under my bathroom sink at least, before purchasing more hair care products 😛

My hair is already as sleek as it gets, so I should proooobably stay away from these two 😉

Love the sound of these but Ive stayed away from shampoos that have sulfates in them for so long now Im scared to go back! My hair is SO dry as is lol. That smell of coconut is so tempting tho…I’ll wait to see how this is after longer term use. Give us an update then pls Karen !!

Sounds delish (though probably a little heavy for my hair). I was the same way with the Tropical Life Savers. I think we’ve discussed this before. I haven’t been able to find the original packs (I thought it used to be coconut, pineapple, banana, tangerine and a peachy/pink flavor I don’t remember). Now, it’s fruit punch, mango melon, pina colada, banana and tangerine. Not quite the same. 🙁

This range sounds super yummy Karen! I’ve tried Herbal Essences shampoo in the past. I love chocolate ingredients in skin and hair care products. This one is very affordable too! By the way, does it contain SLS?

Want to try!! I have been skipping drugstore shampoos and conditioners in the past year, and this makes me want to jump back on that train.

I used to love Herbal Essence shampoos — but my girls hair started becoming brittle and dry. It is because of the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is a mega harsh detergent. I wish companies would take the sulfates out of their products!!

I’ve had my eye on Hello Hydration after I saw it a favorites video on the Tube. I’ll add this to the try list. I’ve been using Wen for a while now and I love but it’s not easy on the pockets that’s for sure.
