I tried my hand (eye?) at Benefit’s new They’re Real waterproof eye makeup remover last night, saturating a cotton pad with the formula, which is kind of thick like a lotion, then wiping and rinsing.
It lifted away the waterproof They’re Real Push-Up Liner I was wearing without a hitch, but my eyes started watering when it touched my water lines.
Maybe my eyes are just sensitive to it. I might give it another try in a few days… The formula is supposed to be made for contact lens wearers and sensitive eyes.
Until then, I think I’ll stick with MAC Cleanse-Off Oil for the heavy-duty stuff.
If you’re curious, look for They’re Real Remover at Benefit counters and online this July.

AT first look.. i though it might be a new highlighter from Benefit.. 😉 .. I liked the prettyy black packging for the remover…
I have faced similar issues of eye watering while using some eye liner on waterline.. I think its not made to be used on waterline.. 🙂

Ha! A sentence in swedish on your blog, I think that is the first I have seen (didn’t even know Benifit translated it to Swedish).
I think I am gonna stick with some cleansing oil (cheaper – especially since I mix my own – and it gets everything with out a hitch).

I have had bad experiences with removers which make my eyes water.. the whole eyeliner, eye shadow go down the drain! I was hoping this will be less irritating for the eyes! I love the Clarins eye makeup remover, its great stuff

I am still loyal to my beloved Bi-Facil, (and its Neutrogena dupe when times are leaner) 😛 Stinging or watering eyes with an eye makeup remover is kind of a bad sign, I think. Still! It might work for some!

That doesn’t sound good!

Hmm doesn’t sound like it’s too gentle around the eyes…

Clinique ‘s comforting cream cleanser takes off all makeup, even waterproof mascara, without a drop of irritation. I rub it over each eye separately and then wipe off with a wet cotton ball. Then I rub it all over my face, wipe off with tissues, and then go over my face with a wet cotton ball, or wash cloth. Follow with toner on a cotton ball if you like, and whole face cleaned, with one product! At $19.50 a tube, each one lasts about a month, with daily use.
