Who is that stone cold babe? That’s what I’d like to know. I guess she likes diamonds…
BIG diamonds.
Can you imagine having a diamond this big? Good lord. I wouldn’t even bother getting attached to it though. My mom would probably try to steal it from me, put it on a ring and wear it to her SilverSneakers aerobics class. Then she’d try to be all cool about it…
“Oh, this? This is just my diamond ring.”
But I would sell that thing in a heartbeat. Then I’d try to buy that island François Nars was selling.
The pans in the palette, which is part of this $42 set, are removable, and you can arrange them however you like. Or, if there are some other Buxom eyeshadows you prefer, you can replace some of these with them.
I would probably replace about haalf of these here… I’ve only swatched them, but a few seem pretty sheer, patchy and dicey to me. They’re also on the harder side.
I don’t know… I love cool tones. And I do like the thought of turning myself into a stone cold babe. 🙂
The mascara, by the way, is great for lash volume. I went through a couple of tubes when I was going through a Buxom mascara phase.

Hehe, stone cold babe… 🙂 Cool that the pans are removable!

If the pigmentation was better I could have picked this up.

I love cool colors and would have loved this, except for the pigmentation. Is it just me or does it seem like the special holiday sets don’t seem to have the same quality as permanent products? I know this doesn’t apply to all brands, but it seems that lately you have to be careful with holiday collections.
Karen says
Nope, it’s not just you! I’ve noticed that with a lot of the lines the holiday sets aren’t always as good. There’s always the exceptions though. Did you ever get the chance to try the new Chanel? The one with all the grays? I’m about to dive into it!
Tatiana says
Yeah, I sprung for the Architectonic palette. It was before I knew I was going to Paris. I had swatched both Dior holiday palettes, both the chocolate and wine Bobbi Brown palettes, Architectonic and Tisse Riviera side by side on my arm. I limited myself to one palette and I didn’t have anything that resembled that one and the colors work really well with my skin tone.

I took pics of it yesterday and I almost don’t want to ruin the pans! It’s so pretty. 🙂 I’ve heard great things about the gel liner too, and I’m super excited about that.
Kim says
Oh, my. Stone Cold looks very frosty to me. My fave eyeshadow palette is from Buxom but the name is escaping me. Pink, brown, taupe, cream and a glittery goldish color. 🙂
Karen says
Hey Kim,
Any good news about your kitty yet? Tabs hopes that she’s home safe (paws crossed).
Fran says
I bought this palette because I adore the colors in it, but returned it because they were sheer, patchy, and hard to blend! Darn it! It seems like almost all the palettes this fall/holiday season are mostly warm neutrals with pops of pinks/berries, not my kind of eyeshadow colors at all… I had such high hopes for this one.
