New for Spring 2016: Covergirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Lip Balm, a Vitamin-Infused, Moisturizing Lip Treatment

Hi, everyone! Is the weather slowly changing for the better where you live? I’m starting to see some exposed legs nowadays, although I’m still bundled up in a coat running my errands. The weather here in the South can fluctuate 20 degrees day to day, so I have to be ready for just about anything — rain, sun, and the chill. My skin has suffered the most, and I had to postpone reviewing and swatching lip products lately — except for these guys!

New for spring, the Covergirl Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Balms (around $8 each) come in 10 sweet shades infused with grapeseed oil and avocado butter, but they feel weightless. With super sweet names like Gumdrop and Sprinkle, the balms are actually not overly sweet-smelling. I think they even smell a little minty (but there’s no tingling sensation).

As you can see from the swatches, these give a hint of color, and only the darker shades will be detectable on most lips.

One issue I have with them is with the packaging. My lip balms came with texture on the sides because they moved during shipping. One even fell out of the tube completely, but I was able to push it back in. I recommend holding onto your receipt just in case you encounter one with an issue!

I usually wear very pigmented and matte lip colors, so these have been a nice change in my rotation while I let my lips recover.

You can find these for around $8 at most drugstores and online at Ulta, Walmart, and Target.

See you in the next!

Anna

I bought Caramel a month ago and was so impressed by how it made my lips look and feel I went back and grabbed Cupcake. They are more elegant than most lip balms – and the smell is divine. Kind of like grapefruit crossed with mint maybe? They have been my everyday go to lip products – love these!

I agree! I like how they look like lipsticks but you can literally grab them while heading out the door.

Although it is sunny around here, I wouldn’t dare bare my legs. It is still very cold.

No, I refuse to buy another lip balm no matter how good it sounds on the bloggy blog. I said no!

    Well maybe just one. 🙂

I love these! I picked up Candy and Jelly. They’re quick and easy for on the go.

I found these to be not hydrating at all and I didn’t like the smell. Sad because it looked nice on!

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my two-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my cat (Tabs).
