Shiver me makeup timbers, mateys! I’d walk the plank to get me grubby makeup pirate hands on Sonia Kashuk’s new limited edition Spring Treasures collection!
Aye, methinks Captain Jack Sparrow (that eyeliner-wearing scallywag!) would go to great lengths for the treasures in this five-piece collection of beauty tools and sassy spring makeup.
Hidden Treasure Brush Set, $20
Treasure Chest Bag, $13
Coral Reef Highlighter Brush, $13
Pink Sands Highlighting Powder, $13
How to Create the Freshness of Spring Cosmetic Palette, $20
I can’t wait for those cheerful coral-print bags, and my first mate, Tabs, has his eye on the highlighter and palette.
Who knows if the pale colors will work with my skin (I’m tan from sailing the high seas!), but I’d still like to give ’em a go.
Look for the Spring Treasures collection at your nearby house of Tar-ghay (aka Target) this spring, lasses.
Your swashbuckling pirate beauty addict,
Karen

I wish they sold Sonia Kashuk stuff here in Taiwan! Her line is so nice and it’s cheap! Oh well I’ll just have to see if my cuz in Cali can pick some of this up for me and mail it here. I love the brush set! So cute!
Karen says
Hi Shana T.,
You’re lucky that you have a cousin to hook you up! 🙂 I hope she’s able to send you some stuff.
Ellery says
Hi Karen. I’ve missed your blog so much! 🙂
I’m loving those brushes. I’ve never seen anything like them before!
Karen says
Hi Ellery,
I’ve been wondering how things have been with you. I’ve missed “chatting” with ya here. 🙂 I hope that things have been getting better for you and your family.
Regarding the brushes, I am very excited about ’em, too. Aren’t they cute? I love the highlighting brush!
Shefali says
I saw these in my Target on Thursday! The products are quite nice!
Karen says
Hi Shefali,
Yay, I can’t wait to see ’em in person.
How have you been? Wait… isn’t this the month of your big family event?
amy says
How fun are those brushes! so cute!
Karen says
Hi Amy,
I know! I like the handles.
Chris says
I picked up the highlighting brush (didn’t need it because my Posh Kabuki rocks and I just got an Ecotools retractable kabuki but there you go…I’m addicted).
It has the cutest handle and is soft enough to satisfy me.
Not THE best kabuki but looks soooo adorable on vanity lol.
Karen says
Hi Chris,
Oh, lucky you! I can’t wait to try it.
Nikki says
those brushes are so cute! i wish they had target in canada so i could go get some.
Karen says
Hi Nikki,
I like ’em, too. I think I like the bags even more!
noi says
Aye aye, Cap’n Karen! P-) haha if only Sonia Kashuk finds its way here in the Philippines! 😀 i love the brushes’ handles and omg the highlighter! :D:D *loves it*
Karen says
Hi Noi,
LOL! Yargh, matey!
I hope the highlighter looks shimmery and not overly frosty. I can’t wait to see it in person!
rysch says
I’ve been to 2 Targets looking for these… they were all sold out!
Karen says
Hi Rysch,
Eek! Really? I hope that the stores re-stock the items soon.
Lydia says
I saw these at Target yesterday and they look so pretty!
Karen says
Hi Lydia,
I can’t wait to see ’em! The bags are too cute.
Alexzandra says

Am I the only one that thinks those brushes are weird looking?! I think if they were just laying on a table, you’d never know they were supposed to look like coral!
Karen says
Hi Julia,
LOL, I guess they aren’t for everyone. Maybe if they did a set with white handles it would look more coral-y?
Solé says
Karen, this line is almost as cute as your pirate brogue! Well, as I assume it may sound since I’m only reading it but you know what I mean! I love the brush handles! So whimsical. Do you like the Sonia Kashuk brushes? I’ve heard good things about them but I’m a born skeptic. Since I can’t spend on makeup like I used to, are these brushes a good alternative to the pricier brushes or should I just take extra special care of my expensive brushes and try to make them last forever (since I probably won’t be able to replace them in forever)?
Karen says
Hi Sole,
I really like Sonia’s brushes. I think that they perform well for the price and they’re sturdy! If you do end up checking them out be sure to buy the ones with the black handles (not the ones with the white handles). The black handled brushes are *much* softer. I did a couple reviews last year to some. Here are the links:

Karen says
Hi Nikki,
If I end up getting it I’ll let you know for sure!

those brushes look…strange! they might look better if they looked a little more natural (instead of blingy silver), but they are unique! props to SK for doing cool things w/ drugstore line. i wish other lines went out on such limbs. 🙂
Karen says
Hi Claudia,
Yeah, I can totally see them working with a white matte handle… still, I like ’em!
I totally agree with you — I wish more drugstore lines would takes risks!
Citrine says
I saw them a while ago in Target and I thought they remind me of the pedegg…it will be a pain in the butt to clean those handles…plus I already think those black squiggly ones are creepy already…

I purchased the brush set because I loved they way they look! I wasn’t too sure if they would work well but once I tried them out- I fell in love! I am going back to tar-ghay today to get the highlighter brush and chest bag! I am officially addicted!

I was at Target Saturday night picking up last minute goodies for my kiddies easter baskets when i spotted these new additions to sonia kashuk. Who am i kidding?!?! I went surfing the makeup section intentionally, but we won’t tell hubby that as he thought i was only there for a few easter things. *wink, wink* The collection is adorable. The bright coral screams springs & i LOVE how she tied sea coral & the coral color altogether. The brushes were typical sonia kashuk quality which is great! The handles are a bit bulky, but if you like to collect unique brush sets than this is perfect! Sonia’s got another hit in my book!
Nikki says
Hi Karen!
Thank you Thank you!!! XD

I will be getting the brush set and the bag! I love the highlighter brush too!
