Coming at ‘cha! — riding on a wave of nakedness, three new ways to strip down for summer from Urban Decay.
Yup, I think it’s safe to say that UD is on something of a naked streak (get it, streak?) based on their three latest Naked Flushed Palettes ($30 each).
Native, Strip and Streak arrive to the party with a disrobed desire to enhance skin, diffuse light and give a fresh glow to yo’ face, baby cakes.
Each one comes with one powder bronzer, a highlighter and a blush.
UD bestowed a satiny bronze bronzer upon Native, the palette I’m wearing in these pics, as well as a frosty pinkish beige highlighter and a matte hot pink blush.
The second palette, Streak, is ready for a warm roll in the haaay!. It comes with a warm, matte bronzer; a frosty peach highlighter; and a matte coral blush.
And Strip, the third palette, glimmers with a frosty golden tan bronzer (so shiny!), a gold highlighter and a matte mauve blush.
The new Urban Decay Naked Flushed Bronzer/Highlighter/Blush Trios…
- Micronized, jet-milled powder formula free of parabens, fragrances, alcohol and mineral oil
- The bronzer, highlighter and blush are all full size
- UD designed them to work with all skin tones
- New to the UD permanent line for summer 2014
I wear bronzer, blush and highlighter on a pretty much daily basis, so I like the idea of these, especially late in the week, when my brain is usually so fried that small decisions like which bronzer/blush/highlighter to wear is more than I can take, haha.
I think all three color combinations are super flattering, but my favorites are probably Native and Streak. For uber-natural looks, I like those two the most.
I mean, I think Strip is pretty, too, particularly the mauve blush, but I probably won’t be reaching for it often. The bronzer is so frosty and shimmery that I haven’t really been able to use it to contour or anything.
I wish UD had gone the matte route with it instead…
And then there’s the highlighter… Compared to the ones in the other two trios, Native and Streak, the highlighter in Strip seems chunkier to me and has larger bits of glitter. Consequently, I think it looks more obvious on the skin.
My votes for fabulously fresh and glowing summer skin go to Native and Streak.
Keep an eye out for ’em on your next trip to a UD counter at your favorite Sephora, Ulta or Macy’s store. The palettes will also be available soon online.
Tabs wasn’t feelin’ it
Did anyone else watch The Voice last night?
Are Tabs and I the only ones who weren’t feelin’ Adam Levine’s new blonde hair?
Props to the man for embracing the bold ‘do, but I gotta say…I miss the dark hair, maybe because I’m so used to seeing him that way?
I dunno, but I feel like the blond kind of washes him out, LOL!
Tabs wasn’t feeling it, either, although he does greatly appreciate the cats on Adam’s clothes here…
So, fun fact about Tabs: he cannot stand Maroon 5.
I like ’em just fine, but whenever I play their songs — no joke — he literally runs out of the room.
Don’t ask me why! Cats are just weird. 🙂 Something about it stresses him out.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I agree about Adam Levine, I had a MAJOR crush on him when Maroon 5 really hit it big! The blonde hair does kind of wash him out. Anyways, I might have to swatch Streak in-store. The swatches look so beautiful and I think the bronzer would work well for me!
Karen says
Streak is super pretty! Perfect for summer. 🙂
Rachel says
Haha, poor Tabs. I have a love/hate relationship with Maroon 5. Most of the time I like their music, but I can’t stand the fact that Adam Levine is an egomaniacal modelizer.
Love those UD palettes, but I just bought the Narsicist cheek palette, so I’m all good on my blush/bronzer/highlighter.
Chelsea says
Not Karen, but I completely agree with your point on Adam Levine! I also see everyone talking about how hot he is, but he’s just not my type…
Karen says
LOL, Rachel and Chelsea! I’m still wondering why People named him sexiest man. But hey, he likes the Beatles, so he’s alright with me.
Nartian says
Is Streak the original Flushed palette and they just renamed it to differentiate between the other 2 (aside for obvious textural and color differences)?
Karen says
Hi Nartian,
I think you’re referring to Strip (the one with the darkest blush); it does look similar to the original Flushed — good eye! Strip is different, however. The bronzer’s very frosty with a strong golden tone; the original Flushed’s bronzer was much more sheer and matte, if I recall. Strip’s blush is also lighter and not as intense, and the highlighter is more golden than pink.
Nartian says
Thank you! With differing screen color setups, it’s always hard to tell if I’m seeing the same colors.
Vanessa says
I LOVE your photo/look in this post. I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, but this is one of the most beautiful photos that I have seen yet! GORGEOUS! Love all of your reviews…thanks!
Fancie says
Strip looks right up my alley! Beautiful!
Karen says
Yay, I hope you like it.

Karen says
Hi Karen!
Thanks, lady. I’m wearing a few different things. Quick list for ya!
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Palette on my lids and lower lash line (review coming in a bit); you could probably use something like MAC Cork, Soft Brown and MAC Brule to get the same look
MAC Fascinating Eye Kohl on lower water lines
Guerlain Black Jack Eye Pencil on upper water lines
NARS Black Valley Eye Paint on upper lash lines
MAC 34 Lash (these are CRAZY long…but fun!)
MAC Fluidline Gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette in my brows
HTH. Let me know if there’s anything else you want to know. 🙂
Agata says
You look gorgeous as always. I like Streak the most. I was hoping UD would release some fun summer eyeshadow palettes though.
Divya says
Streak is screaming out my name!!! I have to get their Streak gloss and now this is in that list too!
Judith says
Based on those pictures and your review streak seems to be the better option for me. I have so many cool pinks, I don’t even know what to do anymore!
Shaz says
You look absolutely gorgeous! The colors really suit you.
I can’t choose between them. They all look so pretty!
Sylirael says
I so agree on the mauve blush! All the swatches of it I’ve seen have led me to fall more deeply in love with it, but as a cool toned vampire who doesn’t get out much (damn thesis) I’m not sure what I’d do with the dark bronzer and glitter highlighter…they’re still pretty though!
Erin says
While they might be sheer enough to blend out, I’m not convinced they would work properly on a PPP of my paleness.
Danielle says
I think these are great for travel. Flushed is my favorite, but all of them are really nice.
Megan says
I’m definitely going to buy these. My favorite one is Native.
Asenna says
helloooo so I really want to buy a UD palette but I just can’t decide between streak and native ? my skintone is light and I’ve got a yellow undertone. it would be rlly nice if you maybe could recommend me one! 🙂 oh and is the bronzer of the native one too shimmery or still on the Matt side ? Thanks for the help !
MissMagic says
Hi Asenna, go for the Streak palette. Native looks better for cooler toned ladies (personal opinion). I’m similar skin-tone as you, and have both the original and Streak. I find Original too pink and like it accentuates my natural redness 🙂
