No worries! Allow me to allay your fears. No, you do not need to know the color of your aura in order to wear the new Urban Decay Liquid Aura Illuminating Mix-In Medium.
Incidentally, my aura is bright yellow and orange, but the only reason I know that is because a friendly mystic spontaneously read my aura in a restroom inside the Bellagio Casino in Last Vegas.
Lucky me!
Urban Decay Liquid Aura Illuminating Mix-In Medium is an opalescent liquid serum that you can mix with your foundation for a dewy, glowing finish.
The color is… Well, it’s… It isn’t easy to describe, but I’m gonna do my best here. It’s a sheer opalescent white with pink pearl particles that are so barely there that you have to squint to see them.
Basically, it looks like unicorn ? tears, or a runnier, subtler version of MAC Strobe Cream.
Add as much or as little as you like to your fave foundation or tinted moisturizer using the included dropper, or you can use it as a highlighter and pat some directly on top of your makeup.
I added a few drops to Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done when I applied it and couldn’t believe my eyes. It sheered One & Done out A LOT, taking it from a matte medium-coverage tinted moisturizer to a dewy, sheer skin tint (similar to the NARS one from the Charlotte Gainsbourg collection). So it doesn’t take a lot.
Just something to keep in mind if your priority is coverage.
The pink pearl doesn’t quite register on my skin. It’s juuust barely noticeable, but the product definitely lightens whatever I add it to. The One & Done shade I normally wear is Medium Dark, which is a good match for my warm-toned skin (it’s my go-to summer shade when I develop a bit of a tan), but it looks a little off when I add UD Liquid Aura. Maybe a bit gray? That’s what happens, actually, when I wear pink-toned foundations.
I bet that if you have cooler skin tone than I do, Aura would work more magic on you skin than it does on mine. It could be a fun thing to have around if you like easy makeup changes.
Aura is coming out soon exclusively at Sephora. Maybe you’ll see it there on your next visit.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

A spontaneous Aura read at the restroom, lucky you! Did she tell you what these colors meant as well? Or was it just a fly-by read?

Looks like a nice highlighter- it actually reminds me of strobe cream a lot in your swatches. Hope you have a nice Friday x

Wow, I’m actually stunned by the difference between One & Done and O&D with the Aura added. Does your aura change like a mood ring? If so, mine is probably a deep blue/black today. HAHA!

It’s crazy, right? I’m one could dial it back by using the tiniest of drops, but it’s kind of hard to control with the dropper.
Let’s see… My aura today is rainbow!

A bright yellow and orange aura is good, yes? I associate those colors with happiness, joy and warmth.
I’ve been using Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid base as my go to glow. It’s super subtle and not shimmery or sparkly at all. I haven’t noticed it lightening my foundation shade when I mix it in, but I don’t add that much when I do add it in. Mostly I just apply it before my foundation. I like it because it’s more golden beige based rather than white or pink, so it doesn’t add to my pinkness/redness.

I can’t believe how much it sheered out the tinted moisturizer! It’s a beautiful product, but I think it may lean a bit too cool for my personal preference. Love the packaging SO much and the shift in the product, however!
