Yo, I’m stoked about the Urban Decay fall 2009 collection and totally blame it on the presentation. For the first time ever, UD created an online catalogue for a release and daym — all the graphics, product pics and saucy makeup looks are toying with my mind.
There’s a slew of classic UD-style makeup (bold eyes and lips!) along with an interesting new group of primers for face, lashes and lips.
Like a makeup junkie in need of her next hit, I spent a good half an hour doing the online shopping cart dance, repeatedly going through the checkout process only to pause before clicking that final SUBMIT…
Now, if you had $200 to spend on anything you wanted from this collection — anything at all — WHAT WOULD YOU GET? 🙂
OPERATION WHAT WOULD YOU GET: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend $200 in virtual Urban Decay Fall 2009 haul. After looking through the product pics and descriptions, post your wish list in the comments.
Some food for thought…
Primers
If you’re already a fan of Urban Decay’s cult classic Primer Potion for eyes (Sin is my fave), then you might be interested in their five new primers for face, lips and cheeks (prices range from $17-30).
Eyes
Urban Decay is known for edgy, bold eye colors, and they’re living up to it this fall with a new line called Ink For Eyes Cream Eyeliners ($22) and three new Deluxe Eyeshadow shades ($18).
Lips
For lips this season they’re reaching for extremes. Either go nude with the two new 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils ($16) and Naked Lipstick ($22), or go full-on vampy with the Oil Slick and Confession Lipsticks ($16 each).
Face
And joining the new primers and products for eyes and lips are some new goodies for faces, namely Surreal Skin Cream-to-Powder Foundation ($34) and Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup ($29).
I’m curious about the primers and eyeshadows, but I may also have to throw in a Cream-to-Powder Foundation, too. LOVE the compact.
So tell me — what would you get? 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Row says
Bloomin’ heck! I love the cream liners! I would get them, and all of the primer products 😀
.-= Row’s last blog post… 12 =-.
Karen says
Hi Row,
Yes! Have you tried any of their other cream liners for the lips?
tali says
Lip liners both of them, the blue eyeliner AND the lip primer
My wallet hurts already!
.-= tali’s last blog post… Outfit Of The Day & Project 5 Pan! =-.
Karen says
Hi Tali,
LOL! I know, right?
I want the green liner!
Kim says
I think I died and went to heaven when I saw this collection online. Seriously! I want everything. I even got the e-mail from Sephora saying UD had a new facial primer and I was all “omg need.” LOL.
I would buy the pore-perfecting primer, ink for eyes, and definitely the three eye shadows.
Karen says
Hi Kim,
Have you tried any of their face stuff? I am so tempted by the Cream-to-Powder foundation.
Tiffany says
I would get the face primers, lip primer, a lip pencil, and a couple of the cream eyeliners! The cream eyeliners look amazing!
Karen says
Hi Tiffany,
I know! I hope the green one packs a ton of shimmer.
ines & cha cha says
oh man… i would get:
the brightening face primer, the lip primer (for under my red/fuchsia lippies, whee!), like, all of the cream eyeliners and the navy and plum eyeshadows… all the colors seriously rock my boat (maybe except the black lippie).
do you know how the staying power is with those liners? i’m a big fan of brush on liners, like bobbi brown gels and MAC fluidlines.

Karen says
Hi Ines,
I don’t know yet. It’s an entirely new product (whee!) so I can’t wait to try it. I’ll let you know…
Kim says
Hey Karen,
I haven’t tried any of their face stuff yet but it’s probably the best time to try. I’ve heard great things about their shadows (well, the ones without chunks of glitter! LOL) and 24/7 pencils, so I’d like to test them.
Karen says
Hi Kim,
The 24/7 pencils are AWESOME. If you need something that stays put, well, they don’t move for nuthin’.
🙂 If you get the chance check out the Get Baked Palette for summer. The shadows are amazing.
Anyhoo, how have you been? Has school been okay?
Catherine says
WOW – I’m really interested in trying their brightening primer! I love the look of the two lip liners and all of the cream eyeliners! Though… the blue appeals to me the most, honestly and I think the Lancome one looked prettier. Have to wait for swatches!

The packaging for the face primer looks great, why don’t they just put the eye primer potion in something like that? That would make it 100% perfect considering the crappy packaging is the only thing that ruins the primer potion.
Jacks says
Hey Karen!
I predict I’ll be all over this collection when it hits Sephora! Urban Decay is my new makeup crush. From what I’ve seen so far and preliminary reviews I’m interested in the Ink for Eyes, brightening face primer, ALL the deluxe shadows (I’m a purple fan!), and the lipstick in Naked.
Noeladd says
The primers look amazing especially the pore perfect one and the lip primers. I would love the cream eyeliners in brown, green, purple and white and the deluxe eyeshadows in ruthless and freakshow. The lip pencils also look amazing!!! I totally love this collection!!!
Kristine says
I have to get the Eyelash Primer Potion, and maybe Frigid and Freakshow as well, and the Pore Perfecting Primer Potion.
Vampy Varnish says
Ok this is what is on my wish list and I might have to get!
Ink for Eyes in Loaded, Empire, Zero and Binge
Eye Shadow in Frigid and Freakshow
Lipstick in Naked

marmar says
Eekage.. not feeling the black lip stick at all. But assuming they don’t make my skin break out, I would totally snag the primers!
.-= marmar’s last blog post… I died and went to heaven. I <3 Anna Sui for… =-.
Glosslizard says
I’ll grab the lip primer, the Ink for Eyes in Empire, Demolition and Binge, the shadows in Frigid and Freakshow, the lippies in Oil Slick (gotta grab the unique & untried, y’know?) and Naked and (If I have any virtual $$$ left) a foundation compact just to give it a try! Woot! Virtual haulage! 😀

Amanda says
Lip primer!!! I’ve been searching for a lip primer with SPf-way to go UD! and I’d try one of the cream eyeliners.
cloudburst says
Is Oil Slick green?! I could see black but…
Karen says
Hi Cloudburst,
I’m thinking it’s black? Gah, it’s too goth for me.
auroragyps says
Pore Refining Primer
Lip Primer
Ink for Eyes in Pyrotechnics
Lipsticks in Oil Slick & Naked
Lip Liner in Wallflower
The Fall collection looks pretty amazing, but I’m really looking forward to the Winter one and the return of UD Nail Polishes.
I also have to say that I’m a bit dissapointed that out of three new Deluxe Shadow shades, they added two more purples and no new greens. I’d love to see what kind of amazing shade of olive green they could create for the line to join poor lonesome Graffiti.
Kailey says
All of the primers =]
Ink For Eyes in Zero
Lipstick in Naked
Ruthless Eyeshadow
Skin-to-Cream in w/e color matches my skin
Marina says
I like the Ink for Eyes! and I just LOVED that online catalog that they have. there are so many nice looks!

shontay says
I want confession and oil slick lipstick. I also want to get my little fingers on that lip primer. I hate lip liner, so I need to do everything else I can do to keep my lips looking good.
Lou says
Gotta be the eyeliners – all of them and the nude lipstick and I’m always on the look out for the perfect foundation so maybe that as well. Between all the new make up and the new nail collections, my bank balance is going to take one hell of a bashing!
Kate & Zena says
I’d buy the eye products….all of them (the eyeliners and the eyeshadows). I’d buy the peachy lipstick also.
Tiffany says
I have the green and blue liners and they’re going back 🙁 They’re dry in texture, it was hard to get a nice, solid line. I’m pretty bummed. Maybe I got a bad batch!

Hey Karen!
Ok. I’m probably going to exceed the $200.00 limit a bit, I’m afraid!
That said:
1- all of the primers
2- the black, white and the blue eyeliners
3-the nude lipstick
4-both of the lip liners
5-the taupe eyeshadow
the eyeliners look like fun!
let us know what you end up with!

Rachel says
Okleedoklee.. I would get Deluxe Eyeshadow in Frigid. I like the packaging a lot and the purple shade. I would get the lippie in Confession. If it looks good on Lais (the model pictured), why not me? Definitely Nail Enamel in Apocalypse (pictured on website, last page of collection. That color is right up my alley.
Hyzenthlay says
Pore Perfecting Primer
Eyelash Primer
Lip Primer
Ink for Eyes in Binge
Lipstick in Naked
Both the lipliners
Whatever my correct shade in the Cream-to-Powder Foundation
🙂
Andrea says
I am just so happy to know that I’m not the only one who’ shopping bag changes virtually from moment to moment. I have problems with sticking to my budget, which is theoretically zero, but in reality is based in begging for forgiveness until I commit my next sin.
I’d get
Confession
Oil Slick in the lipsticks
Sin
Freakshow
Frigid
Binge
Zero
I’ve lost count. Tweek the basket up and down, fret, worry, sleep on it, wait for GWP then bam! Wait for UPS.
Mia says
pore-minimizing primer
all three new deluxe-es
oil-slick and naked lipsticks
Could have been worse 😀
Btw, has anyone used the UD lipsticks? Are they any good? And how does the finish compare to MACs lipsticks?
And most importantly, how do they smell? I am picky when it comes to smell, especially for lip products. TIA
Karen says
Hi Mia,
I’ve tried their Midnight Cowboy lipstick. It feels much thinner than the MAC lipsticks I’ve tried, and it’s very emollient and shiny. As for smell, it has a light brown sugar smell!
Kitty says
This is exciting. Urban Decay is my favorite brand. I love the primers, the nude lipstick, and the two purple eyeshadows! The cream eyeliner sounds interesting, too.
Diana says
I would get the brightening face primer, the cream liners in empire, loaded, and binge, naked lipstick, the cream to powder foundation, and all the eyeshadows. Im so excited! 🙂
Catheryn says
Hmmmmmm…
I would get:
$34 the cream to powder foundation
$16 the 24/7 lip liner in paranoid
$30 the Pore Perfecting face primer
$18 the frigid eyeshadow. (<3333)
$44 the lipsticks in naked and Confession
$22 the cream eyeliner in empire
$20 the lip primer potion
= $184.
Hey, a little less than $200, but I could use that money for other virtual shopping…
At least I’m not the only one who virtual shops like I thought!
Okami says
I’d get:
Eye Ink in every color ($22 ea): $132
Lip Primer: $20
Deluxe Shadow in Ruthless: $18
Pore Perfecting Face Primer: $30
Total: $200 exactly!
lexi says
i want:
frigid/freakshow shadows
wallflower lipliner
naked lipstick
ink for eyes- binge and zero
i should probably invest in mascara primer too
i am now a UD convert!
Elle says
the primer potions are really enticing, i would love to try out the lip primer. i wonder if it acts the same way some lip balm does, i’m hoping my lipstick would glide on easier with the lip primer
Michele says
