Frrresh fruit! Get your fresh fruit here! Sweeet apples! Crisp and hunky!
Don’t be alarmed if you feel like taking a bite out of theBalm’s new cheek and lip cream palette.
It’s completely understandable. 🙂
And not merely because it houses a bushel of six juicy shades sweet enough to strike fear into the sweetest Honeycrisp…
It’s also because the men of Magic Mike appear inside! WOO HOO!!
OK, not really… Well, maybe.
Seriously, though, I don’t think these dudes have ever grinded to Pony on stage with Channing Tatum, but it looks like they could, judging by the way that cobbler pops that hip. That man clearly two-steps like a pro.
I have to admit that the inclusion of so many abdominal muscles probably heightened my enthusiasm for this palette. I mean, I think I would have liked it anyway, but I’m just sayin’. It’s true. 🙂
Anyway, what was I saying…? Something about a palette?
Ah, the palette — it’s new for spring, and the shades are designed for cheeks and lips.
I think they’re lovely on both, although I prefer them more as cheek colors, since they appear to fade pretty quickly when used as lipsticks (one hour, sheesh!).
In each of these pics, I’m wearing Candy on my cheeks as a blush, because it’s my favorite of the bunch. That one makes my cheeks look like I just finished a long run.
But used as cream blushes, I think all of them are very pretty. You’ll probably like them too if you like cream blushes with a slightly shiny finish.
The creams also have a sort of thin, slightly wet consistency, and they layer beautifully on top of the cream foundations I’ve been using lately from NARS. They also don’t loiter in my pores or rustle up any dry flakes, either.
Fingers apply these fine, but I like using a brush. I experimented with a couple of different brushes and my fingers, and stippling the cream blush on my cheeks with a skunk brush worked best for me. I get a lovely flush, and it doesn’t mess with the foundation underneath.
The palette’s pretty new, and I haven’t confirmed a release date or price yet, but I’ll update this post when I have. I’m told it’ll be available in the next few weeks on thebalm.com.

The shades are real pretty. Multiples dont usually work for me. They work either as a cheek product or a lip product. Will check tis out after the launch 🙂

Me too! It seems like someone put some thought into this and how many people would be able to use it.

I think theBalm does such a nice job with color selection. I would love to get my hands on this palette, the shades look like they’d be versatile and flattering. I can see why you like Candy so much!

I’m not a fan of lip palettes for personal use but this one is really pretty. The color selection is very wearable!

I can’t wait to get my hands on this, especially since I was just searching for a creme blush as a person with dry skin. Thanks for FYI!

I like this a lot! A palette of cream blushes/lip colors… But the packaging doesn’t really suit my tastes, if you know what I mean, ha ha.
Adrianna says
Gosh, the colors are really nice. Have to get my hands on them

This looks fabulous! They’ve just made one oversight, in my opinion, which is that abs are nice and all, but If I’m going to have dudes photoshopped onto my blush palettes, Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson and Mark Harmon are going to need to be involved somehwere.
(DON’T JUDGE ME). 😀

Nice colors, but I’d rather be seeing Ian Somerhalder or Tom Hiddleston photoshopped into my pallet. Abs are nice but eyes win every time!

I think cosmetics and pictures of hot men go together.
Danielle says
Oh my! This is amazing! theBalm always kills it with their packaging & themes.
Kim says
I love these as lip colors so the hour wear time is totally disappointing. That said, I did chuckle about the hip popping and your “hunky” apple description. 🙂

This palette looks awesome. I love theBalm and I just so happen to love cream blushes. I guess the guys on the packaging don’t hurt either…if anything they might be a bit distracting. I’m for sure going to check this out when it launches. Great post!

This is so cute! theBalm is such a fun, creative brand. I love cream blushes (understand: I’m obsessed with) so I have to add this palette to my wish list!

I bought this palette today for $32 (and two of the Instain blushes) on TheBalm’s website during their 50% off sale.
Even though TheBalm charge the outrageous price of $35 USD for postage to Australia, during the 50% off sale the discount equals free postage for me.

I just ordered this palette dying to see it in person.
