One of these days, some intrepid explorer is going to emerge from a remote rainforest somewhere with 1) directions to the Fountain of Youth (“It’s before the pyramid but past the big banyan tree…”) and 2) an as-yet undiscovered flower, that when eaten, really does give you that lit-from-within glow.
Until then, we’ll have to make due with makeup like the Bobbi Brown Brightening Nudes collection.
Available now at Bobbi Brown counters and also online, this limited edition nine-piece release for eyes, lips and cheeks is designed to bestow a lit-from-within glow to cheeks, while making eyes sparkle and lips look luscious.
Here’s a quick look at the collection along with swatches. Reviews coming soon! 🙂
From the left: Brightening Lip Gloss in Pink Lilac, Pink Opal and Lilac Pearl ($23 each)
Brightening Finishing Powder ($50)

Brightening Lip Gloss in Pink Lilac, Pink Opal and Lilac Pearl; Crystal Glitter Lip Gloss
Based on what I’m seeing here, these emphasize shimmer over pigment. I can’t wait to see how that translates into looks. 🙂
I hope the colors come across well on my tan skin…
What do you think from these swatches? Are you blinded by the shine?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

The crystal glitter lipgloss looks spectacular! I wonder how it wears on the lips…
Karen says
I plan to take it on a spin soon. I wore the eyeshadow, one of the glosses and the face powder yesterday and just felt so… glittery!
Melody says
hMMM. I’m not digging the shadows. They look rather similar when swatched. I like the glosses though. I guess this time of year makes me want to wear sheer sparkly colors 🙂
Karen says
The shadows are more glitter than pigment. They’re fun if you want some shimmer!
How’s your weekend going?
Melody says
Oh no, I love glitter! All the spring collections are killing me.
Adrienne says
Is anyone else sick of hearing the words “nude” and “naked” in practically every cosmetics release lately??
The shadows looks pretty, though not exactly unique, at least they live up to their title of being brightening nudes! The finishing powder looks… Purple-ey?
Karen says
LOL, yeah… I think a lot of it has to do with the success of UD’s Naked palette.

I drool at any cosmetic product with “Bobbi Brown” in the name, but honestly those three lip glosses look pretty much identical when switched (and i’m sure the same story on the lips). Pretty, but thank goodness I won’t need more than one! 🙂
Stacie says
Very shimmery…would like to see how it is on the eyes!
Avonshopindia says
The crystal glitter lipgloss looks good. hope it would actually look glittery on lips.
Anitacska says
Hmm, that powder seems awfully small. It says 6.6g, which makes it almost half of shimmer bricks which are 10.3g. Not sure I want to spend £40 on it, having just dropped £48 on the Chanel Lucky Stars powder, but at least that’s 15g.
I like the look of Lilac Pearl, but probably don’t need it. 🙂

I really like the colors.
Sunny @ Mostly Sunny says
Hmm these are a bit too sheer and frosty for me… Probably a pass!

I’ve my eyes on that crystal glitter lipgloss. Looks amazing! 🙂

I would love to see how these fare in your FOTDs. 🙂

I love all of this! I’d love to see these on you. I’m curious about the brightening finishing powder. The reviews I’ve read have been good- but is it worth $50? What do you think?
Nina says
so luminous its almost ethereal!
