Describe Your Look:
“I just wanted to see how the Prescriptives foundation and powder I tried on at Nordstrom earlier would look like with some eye and cheek color. And since it was St. Patrick’s day, why not play with some greens? 🙂 The green came out lighter because of the flash and the lighting in my room is all whacked so it turned out a little lime/yellowish. It’s more smokey in real life.”
MBB Babe: Gloria from California
- Eyes: MAC Paint in Bare Canvas, MAC Eyeshadow in Swimming, Missha Eyeshadow in KH204 (forest green), Lavshuca Eyeshadow in GN-1 (for mint green and yellow for highlight), MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder, and lots of L’Oreal Original Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black
- Lips: MAC Hello Kitty Lipstick in Mimmy
- Face/Cheeks: MAC Hello Kitty Blush in Fun and Games
Describe Your Look:
“I really wanted to play with Swimming, but the first look in the morning didn’t turn out well. I couldn’t sleep at 11 p.m., so I decided to go all out and do a fun, dramatic look featuring Swimming. Too bad after taking some pictures I had to wash it all off so I could sleep.”

Thanks again for sharing your looks! You’ve given me some great ideas, and I can’t believe I forgot to get Big Bow lipstick from MAC Hello Kitty. It sure looks great on Wendy.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. See that digital camera over there on the counter? Yeah, the one you *always* forget to bring when you leave the house? Go get it, girl! Take a quick pic of your look and shoot it off to me with this form.

Hi Karen! All the ladies look awesome but I particularly love how Gloria rocked that bright green on the eyes. This is a perfect example of how to wear those bright colors that we’re going to see a lot of this spring. Very nice. And Justine if you’re reading this, I would love to know where you bought that green top. It is beautiful! Hope everyone has a nice weekend. 🙂
Karen says
Hi Sole,
Yes! Gloria’s eye got me thinking of all the lovely shades for spring — purple, teal, pink. I love them all. 🙂
How’s your weekend going? It’s raining up here again, blah!
mishel says

Karen says
Hi Mishel,
Thank you for sharing it with us. Right after I saw your pic I added Coral Belle to my “to try” wishlist. It looks gorgeous on you!
Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!

Gloria’s eyes are to die for! And the makeup is so good.. perfectly blended!!!
All the looks are fab.. im a sucker for green though and Gloria’s is something im gonna try!!
Karen says
Hi Tali,
Yah, I was inspired by Gloria’s look, too. I don’t have Swimming… but I do have an old pan of Sprout (which was discontinued a while back). I’m gonna try it with that!

If only my dad didn’t toast the digital camera on his last kayaking trip! I would take a picture of Zeneer and me and send it off. All I got is my camera phone loaded with pictures of Zena and a few of myself (I’m weird). :sobs:
Karen says
Hi kate,
LOL, I have about a zillion pictures of Tabs on my phone. You aren’t the only one! 🙂
AnneMarie says
Wow! Everyone looked so great in their pics! Thanks for sharing your pictures & your creativity.
Karen says
Hi AnneMarie,
I am right there with ya. It’s so inspiring to see how other people rock their looks!
Jemma says
I love the pretty yellow that felicia used – it looks really nice with her skintone.
And all the girls look gorgeous but i won’t be trying green anytime soon! 🙂
Karen says
Hi Jemma,
Felicia’s pop of green on the lid looks fierce! I am going to see if I can dupe that with the green from the Cult of Cherry quad.
Happy Saturday!

LOL, I have pictures of Zena sleeping on the couch, Zena sleeping on the bed, Zena walking, Zena with her leash around a telephone pole on a walk, Zena close-ups of her sleeping on the couch, Zena close-ups of her snoozing on my mom’s knee, Zena’s toy getting an operation, etc. I haven’t gotten one of her playing or her slamming on the back door yet. I’m waiting for the opportunity.
I wonder if it’s a pet ownership thing that we spam our camera phones with photos of our pets! I’m sure you have many photos of Tabs sleeping! He is a cute cat.
Karen says
Hi Kate,
Aww, taking pictures of your pet is one of the perks of being a pet mommy! I have way too many pictures of Tabs all up in my grill. I just transferred a bunch from my phone to the computer and realized that I might just be a little too obsessed with that cat.
How’s your evening going? I just got back from the gym, and now I’m going to eat some pasta and watch a dvd.
Justine says
Solé I got the top sometime last year, but it’s by Max Studio, and I’ve seen a lot of beautiful greens with the same style… I hope you can find it wherever you are!

It’s going pretty well. Watching television mainly. I got around to hemming my pants finally (I deemed myself ready enough). Pretty much chilling out. I deshedded Zena with the godly Furbuster by Bamboo. By the time I was done, there was a baseball-sized fur ball on a paper towel! She’s as soft as cashmere now.
LOL, it’s a sign of obsession when you have more photos of your pet than photos of your family. 99% of the photos I have are of Zena and y’know what? I don’t really care. I wonder if there’s a 20-something male out there who has no qualms dating a pet-obsessed, incredibly shy, easily distracted 20 year-old female. How I get anything done is beyond me.
I’m thinking if I have enough energy tomorrow I may haul the Dyson (it’s not exactly light, y’know) up all 13 stairs and vacuum out my bedroom. The dust bunnies have evolved into dust bears and mini-Zenas. XD The Dyson is the God of Suction. You wouldn’t believe how much dog hair it picks up. Now, if only it were lighter. It’s nearly 19 pounds!

OMG!!! Thanks so much Karen for posting this up! I was out with my coworker after work today, decided to check my Facebook, and my friend (also a MBB fan) told me that I was on it! I squealed in the restaurant!! In public I tell you!
Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments you guys have left. I’ll post up a tutorial very very soon.
Plus, thanks Karen for posting up 1 of my more flattering pictures. I just realized that my buck teeth is showing in my full face picture. LoL
