The Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura Holiday Collection: First Look and Giveaway!

Published in: Collections, Makeup, Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura Shupette

There’s no doubt about it. Choupette Lagerfeld (as in Karl Lagerfeld’s fashionable feline) has the whole cute kitty thing down. Even Tabs, as much as he would like to, can’t deny it. Those bright blue eyes, that plush, snowy white coat, and those killer ear tufts…

THOSE EAR TUFTS, THO.

Every time I see a Choupette pic, I want to reach into my computer screen and eat that delicious belly meat! Or, en lieu of that, I want to accessorize her.

(I’m thinking a diamond tiara or bejeweled bib necklace…but please don’t tell my boss!)

Now, if my cat lady barometer is correct, which it often is when it comes to pressing matters involving makeup and felines, then tails will be a-twitching when the new Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura holiday collection sashays onto Shu Uemura counters this month (however, it’s available online right meow!).

To receive an exclusive Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld ToteΒ bag and free shipping on any purchase of $25 or more on shuuemura-usa.com, use the promo code SHUBLOG.

How freakin’ cute is this collection!? When I see Choupette’s sweet face on the packaging, I’m compelled to squeal, “SHU-PETTE!” much to my kitty overlord’s chagrin.

The collection purrs with pieces for eyes, cheeks, face, lips and nails, as well as a smattering of other Choupette-themed beauty accessories, like flirty false lashes, a lash curler, a brush set and a luxe makeup trunk (not shown in these pics).

It’s catnip for cat ladies!

To my cat-loving eye, the star of the collection is the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette, with its mix of cool-toned blue, gray, pink and berry on the left, and its warm gold, bronze, pink, orange and coral on the right. I feel like there’s something for everyone in this palette, and to top it off, you also get a fuzzy white makeup bag.

I’m actually wearing the Has-It-All Palette in the pics below. πŸ™‚ For a shimmering, smokey blue cat eye, I blended the blue, gray and black shades on my lids, then lined my lash lines with Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black (a deep black with blue pearl), before adding a dash of glitter from the My Precious Glitter Set in the inner corners.

To finish the look, I dabbed the Silk Cushion Cheek Palette in Orange on my cheeks and brushed the Has-It-All Palette’s bright pink lipstick on my lips.

A look behind the scenes…

This collection is made for you, Karen! It’s so beautiful! The eyeshadows in the palette are just stunning!

      Hi Agata,

It’s cat lady heaven. πŸ™‚ Do you have the famous Shu Uemura curler? It’s a cult classic.

Happy Monday to you! Hope that you’re feeling OK today.

      • Agata says:

I don’t but I am actually in the market for a new eyelash curler.

I am feeling better today, caught up on some sleep, it’s my day off, sipping a cup of coffee πŸ™‚ The only bad thing is that my hubby is gone travelling all week so I am home by myself and I am sure I will be sick of being alone by the end of Day1.
Agata recently posted … Smells Like Memories

        • Karen says:

The Shu Uemura one is the best. I have three of them (EEK). Backups upon backups, I guess.

Enjoy your day off and get better soon! I’m drinking my morning coffee now, too — a Vanilla Creme Brulee from Archer Farms (got it from Target). What are you doing today, besides resting and *not* getting sick?

          • Agata says:

That coffee sounds really good! Although I am partial to buying whole bean coffee and grinding it myself and my guess is that the Cream Brule is already ground, right? Archer Farms has a delicious bag tea- chocolate mint, it’s so addictive! You should try it if you like mint tea.

Today I am just chilling, doing some laundry, cleaning and putting together a new post for the blog with a fall makeup look.

My foot feels slightly better today although it hurt really bad yesterday and I am tempted to go to zumba tonight but I probably shouldn’t.
Agata recently posted … Smells Like Memories

          • Karen says:

Yes, it’s already ground. I’ve tried doing my own bean grinding but don’t have the coordination/patience for it first thing in the morning. I need to get that coffee in me ASAP, LOL!

You know what I’ve been kind of wanting, though? One of those Nespresso machines. I tried a coffee from one recently and it was SO good, and it was really easy to use.

It might not be a good idea to work out just yet if there’s still pain in your foot because you don’t want to re-injure it. Maybe some light stretching?

  2. Karl be like: ‘this one goes out to all the crazy cat ladies out there!’

Gosh, I love this collection, the packaging is to die for! Those brushes with the little kitty cat paws on the handle? Precious!

RIGHT? Like we didn’t see Karl turning into a CCL from a mile away, haha!

Have you tried any of the Shu eyeshadows? Amazeballs! Super silky and so easy to blend.

      Happy Monday to ya!

  3. Sunny says:

Oh this IS cat lady heaven! I can’t say there is a “must-have” for me here, but I might end up getting something anyways because those paw prints are too cute! <3 Tabs is amazing. He loves the camera, and the camera loves him back πŸ™‚

    • Karen says:

      Hi Sunny,

You must! It is your cat lady duty, LOL! How about the lash curler? One can never have enough lash curlers around.

Hope you had a nice weekend! Did you do anything fun?

      • Sunny says:

I know! I love my Shu curler, so this would be a fun version to pick up as backup. Also the pencils with the paw prints! Cuute!

I had a laid-back weekend because this week (and the last one) was SO. BUSY. Did manage to test some new products out and do looks though. That’s always fun πŸ™‚ Definitely followed your half marathon adventure on Instagram with great interest. Well done, girl (that fireman: HOT)!

        • Karen says:

I seriously can’t live without mine. Mine went missing once (Tabs hid it from me) and I nearly fell apart, LOL! I love how they give you lashes Just. Like. That. The eye pencils are lovely, too. Very long wearing. You just have to work quickly because they set very fast.

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing weekend. Can’t wait to read about the products! Did you find anything I need in my life ASAP? Last Saturday I did some product testing, too. I took a Guerlain highlighter for a spin and it was kind of life changing!

Thanks for following along the half marathon journey. I’m hobbling around today, eek! But it’s nothing that a few cookies can’t fix.

So, the cool thing about the fireman was that he was really nice! There were these long lines to take pics with groups of the SF firemen, but seriously, they were like an hour long. I was tired and just wanted my snapshot, so I tapped him on the shoulder and was like, “Can I please take a pic with you?” and he sweetly obliged.

Anywho, hope you’re having a nice day so far! Monday is just getting started here in California.

          • Sunny says:

I like how sturdy Shu curlers are. I’ve tried a cheap one (my mistake. Never again) that broke several lashes off in one go. The Shiseido one is great for flatter eye shapes, but doesn’t seem as sturdy. Since it’s something you put near your eyes, you want it to be as safe as it can be!

Actually… have you tried the new Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss? I am not even a gloss girl, but those are SO GOOD! Smooth, lightweight, pigmented, and long-wearing (they aren’t even completely gone after a full meal). I’m impressed!

I hope the hobbling will get better soon! You definitely deserve some cookies πŸ™‚

          • Karen says:

I’ve had the Chanel gloss on my list for FOREVER. Thank you for reminding me. I have to try it. Let me guess… you got a coral shade! πŸ˜€

Speaking of cookies, I just might have some for breakfast.

  4. Kelly B. says:

Cute collection but I’m more attracted to how amazing the formulas look in your swatches rather than the packaging-this makes me wish I was more of a cat person!

  5. Remi says:

It makes me wonder if my cat would get jealous of the tiny!cat packages. I love the way you did your eyes! (Although the Kawaii pack is more my color)

    • Karen says:

      Hi Remi,

Tell me about your kitty! How long have you been his/her assistant? Tabs and I have been together for 8 years now. πŸ™‚

      • Remi says:

Lithium (named after the element – I am a chemist – and the mood lifting drug) is still a baby. She is just under a year old, and we got her from a rescue when she was about 16 weeks.

She is a Russian Blue chatterbox who likes to carry the laundry all over the house, but will Come, Sit, and High Five on command.

  6. sienna says:

Those eyeliners would make such a pretty cat eye look!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Sienna,

The great thing about them is they are long wearing, too. They are smooth and silky, and then they set very quickly, so you have to work fast.

      Do you have any cats/pets?

  7. sienna says:

I’ve got a cat named roxy. Or foxy roxy. Or her full name roxy Giancarlo kardashian. She is a plus sized beauty!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Sienna (and Roxy!),

You know I’m all about the plus-sized kitties! Foxy Roxy has a very cute name. I think she needs a royal highness in front of it: “Her Royal Highness Roxy Giancarlo Kardashian.” What kind of cat is she? I’m not sure what Tabs is (he’s a stray who decided to grace me with his presence and fashion knowledge), but I think he might be part Ragdoll.

  8. Talia says:

The has-it-all eye and lip palette is so great and I think those fake eyelashes look great too!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Talia,

Aren’t they fun? I’ve worn Shu lashes before (both “normal” ones and crazy ones) and they are super comfortable.

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

      • Talia says:

As soon as I saw the fake eyelashes, I was like “Well, they are a little bit too dramatic/playful for me” but then I thought that this is what Shupette would wear if she was a woman, and decided to love them with all my heart! This weekend was a very cooking focused for me and my family and we tried this one-pot french onion pasta from Joy The Baker blog, which was incredible! I think you will like too Karen!

P.S. Love your eye shadow look and girl, your blending skills are fierce!
Talia recently posted … Review: Bumble and Bumble “Grooming Creme”

        • Karen says:

Totally. I can’t see Choupette rocking “subtle” lashes while she lounges around with her two maids and Karl. No way! She’s all about big glam. Pink and crystals all the way!

Your dish sounds delish. Did you use a slow cooker? Believe it or not I’ve had one sitting in my garage for THREE YEARS. I need to dust that thing off and make a stew with it. If you ever run into a one pot recipe that’s vegetarian or pescatarian send it my way, girlfriend. πŸ˜€

Oh, and thank you about the blending. I used the “take a pic with a heavy flash” trick. It works like a charm!

          • Talia says:

We used my mom’s slow cooker and I know slow cooker are a bit of a drag for everyday cooking but once in a while, they are great to take out from the garage and do a little gastronomic wonder, haha.
So, if you feel like sitting down and eating a little past with your own slow cooker here is the recipe for the onion pasta http://joythebaker.com/2014/07/one-pot-french-onion-pasta/ and I think that apart from butter and cheese, this suits vegetarians!
And heavy flash trick or not, you sure know the blending game good and I always love how you make the best of a smokey eye, evolving it into something new and fresh!
Talia recently posted … Review: Bumble and Bumble “Grooming Creme”

          • Karen says:

That pasta looks delicious! I can see myself topping it with extra parmesan cheese and then eating it with a cup of soup, yum! Did you take pics of your final dish? I hope so! You need to document your cooking adventures.

Aww, and thanks for saying that about the makeup. There’s still a lot for me to learn, but I enjoy it very much which is why I keep trying LOL. Blending is really tricky! I feel like I’ve learned so many things the hard way, you know? Like, I have the tendency to over-blend everything into a muddy mess. Do you have any good tricks for making blending easier? I’m always looking for more!

  9. Melissa m. says:

I need the whole collection!! I love the bright colors and I love cleansing oil!!!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Melissa,

YES! The brights are super fun. I love that the blue matches Choupette’s eyes (shh, don’t tell Tabs).

I’ve been using the Cleansing Oil for the last couple weeks and it’s great. Really lightweight and takes off everything. Plus, I get to stare at Choupette’s cute face.

Are you a cat lady, too?

      • Kerry says:

Is the graphic on cleansing oil bottle printed on or a plastic wrapper around the bottle? The last limited-edition cleansing oil bottle had a plastic wrapper instead of printed on so it was disappointing.

  10. pegg says:

What an adorable collection! Thanks for showing all the swatches and products! I love the Eye-Need-Shu Trio in 02 Tokyo Kawaii – perfect combo of colors!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Pegg,

You’re welcome! The Toyko Kawaii eye trio is very fun. I wore it a few days ago and the brown is absolutely scrumptious. It kind of reminds me of MAC’s Costa Riche Eyeliner, which is a fave.

Hope you had a nice weekend. Did you do anything fun?

  11. majick says:

Why did I look? These pieces are stunning. Love the look you did, just gorgeous!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Majick,

Happy Monday! You had to look because Tabs was in the mix. He’s got those hypnotizing eyes…

      What’s on your wish list?

Hope you had a lovely weekend, by the way!

  12. Vanessa C says:

The Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black looks like the basic thing I’ll use to do the purrfect cat eye look! It looks so decadent with the pearl!! Now that allergy season has officially left my eyes to be great, I can line my eyes without looking like a raccoon and more like a cat! LOL

    • Karen says:

      Hi Vanessa,

I hear you! I have bad allergies too (in the spring and in the mid-fall) and they aren’t fun. Zyrtec is like me BFF.

So that liner is a great choice! I love it because when it’s on the lash line you can actually see the pearl reflecting back. It’s super pretty.

Hope you had a nice weekend! What did you do? Anything fun?

      • Vanessa C says:

Thanks Karen! Eeek, I can’t wait to get my hands on it πŸ™‚

I had a pretty low-key weekend, QT with my hubby, whiskey and Walking Dead of course! I know you had a great weekend, congrats on completing the Nike Women’s Half Marathon! You looked fab <3

        xxxo, Vanessa

        • Karen says:

Thank you! It was so fun! The best race experience I’ve ever had. Dunno if you’re a runner, but if you get the chance to the Nike half, well, Just Do It! πŸ˜€

Sounds like you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Those are the best. What did you think of The Walking Dead, by the way? I was hoping to see Beth already, GAH!

          • Vanessa C says:

I run occasionally, can do about 2 miles tops on a treadmill. One day, I must try the Nike half and Just Do It!

Great episode, although it lost some steam from last week. Ugh same here — At least we saw the “car” that kidnapped her. And the “Bob-a-que”?! You can tell when the gang is happy and safe, something is about to go down πŸ™

          • Karen says:

Two miles is a great place to start. If you take it in baby steps and do smaller races first, then you can build up to a bigger race! They are fun and very addictive. And an excuse to load up on carbs, haha!

Yeah, I thought the ep was pretty slow. I think that in the grand scheme of the entire season, though, you need those slower sequences in between so that it’s not high intensity all the way, you know? Although I’m dying to see Morgan again! And I’m worried about Bob, and who else is gonna get picked off next. πŸ™

  13. Jen says:

I’d be all over that Midnight Black liner to create the perfect cat eye πŸ™‚ Thanks for such an amazing giveaway, Karen! xo

    • Karen says:

      Hi Jen,

The liner is so fun! The pearl sparkles on the lash line… super pretty!

How was your weekend, by the way?

      • Jen says:

It was great, Karen- thanks for asking! Saw friends and family, a bit of shopping, caught up on tv and blogging. All the good stuff! Hope yours was lovely as well πŸ™‚

        • Karen says:

          Hi Jen,

Sounds like you had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Did you get any beauty shopping done? πŸ™‚

Mine was great! I did prepping for the half-marathon, and then the race. And that’s mostly it. LOL! Now I’m recovering.

          • Je says:

Oh wow, congrats! That’s no small feat. No makeup shopping, but picked up a couple of skin care faves from Mario Badescu. They always keep my skin calm and happy πŸ™‚

          • Karen says:

Thanks! I’ve been training for it for about a month and a half. I’m glad I got to do it because it was a really fun race.

Ooh, what goodies did you get from Mario Badescu?

  18. Elena says:

Oh I wish I waited for your swatches and this blog post! I already have placed two orders: one for the cute eyelash curler (I want the charm even though I have never used an eyelash curler in my life lol) and one order for the orange silk-cushion blush. I wish I had waited for that promo code for the tote bag! I don’t need it but I want it!

That being said, I think my cat could be the face of his own cosmetics line. He is fat, orange and fluffy and has quite the personality! I think he could give Choupette a run for her money. lol.

    • Karen says:

      Hi Elena,

Great choices. I’ve had several Shu lash curlers and they really are the best. The Orange blush is also extremely wearable!

So tell me more about your cute cat! What is is his name? And how long have you been his “assistant”?

      • Elena says:

Mario is half Maine Coon and I have had him since he was a cute little kitten. Time flies he is almost 10 years old now but acts like he is two! He was such a troublemaker as a kitten he would steal small jewelry like earrings and hide it places.

He lives with my parents since he is the family cat and kind of does what he wants anyways-I wouldn’t trust him living with me anyways because of the coyotes that run around here at night. A few cats have gone missing the past few months sadly.

Oh and he isn’t really afraid of dogs and will try and go after them sometimes (I have a 130 lb shepherd named Atticus and when they lived together they would either get along or fight like siblings haha). Mario also has a bunny stuffed animal he stole from my brother’s Easter basket when we were younger that he loves to beat up and drag around the house.

He has quite the personality to say the least! I think he is a tiger trapped in a domestic cat’s body!

My Shu Uemura order should be here Thursday! And my second order accidentally shipped to my parents so I get to pick that up and see Mario! I am excited. Glad to see the orange blush swatch ahead of time! Love it!

        • Karen says:

          Hi Elena,

I keep picturing this huge Maine Coon dragging a sad stuffed Easter bunny around the house and cracking up (Tabs has a similar relationship with a stuff orange kitty named Marmalade). Mario sounds like a cat with a big personality! Is he very affectionate?

(Oh, and your dog must be really patient.)

Have fun with your Shu products when you get them, and if you want send me a pic of you wearing your blush!

          • Elena says:

Trust me, the bunny is very sad. He grabs it by the neck and he has loved it so much over the years it has bald patches now lol. The sad thing is my brother and I both got the same stuffed animal (one brown and white the other black and white). We were going to use the black and white one to replace his beat down one and I think we donated it years ago! lol.

Mario is very picky when it comes to affection. He either loves you or just ignores you. He was not pleased when I brought a dog home that as a puppy was the size of him!

I will have to try on the blush and attempt a cat selfie when I go to pick it up at my parents!

          • Karen says:

OK, it sounds like you’re going to have to do some serious Frankenstein stitching when the inevitable tail/ear/back leg falls off of Mario’s bunny. He would be crushed if his life-long frenemy disappears!

Aren’t cats totally psycho when it comes to love? It’s like they either totally want to be up in your grill or they’re just not that into you. It is emotionally exhausting. I’ve actually thought about getting Tabs a dog, but I don’t know if I could deal with the drama that I’m sure would happen. Did it take a long time to get Atticus and Mario to become friends?

Oh, if you get the chance to take a cat/Shupette selfie do it! πŸ˜€

  19. Audra says:

I’d definitely be all over the glitter sets — never an excuse to miss out on smothering my eyes in glitter!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Audra,

Right there with ya, girl! I can’t say no to the sparkly stuff. If you look closely at the packaging there are tiny little paw prints (SO CUTE). I also like that the mouth of the jar has that tiny hole — makes it easier to control the flow of the glitter.

By the way, are you a cat person, too?

  20. Christina says:

The eyeliners would be great for the cat eye look. That black one is insanely gorgeous!

  21. Brittany says:

The dark colors in the upper left corner of the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette would be purrrrrfect for a smokey eye!

  22. Stephanie says:

Oh boy, I love all of this! The blues look gorgeous on you, I’m on a blue eyeshadow kick right now. I’m trying hard not to look like Barbie, I can’t get enough blues.

  23. Camille says:

MEOWZER! Wow, this is fantastic! I don’t do a cat eye, but I’m still trying to figure it out. Slowly but Shirley!!! I always ALWAYS curl my eye lashes, to open them up. I bought a Shu Uemura eye lash curler for my 30th birthday, and I love it! I have been playing with eye shadow, and I have stuck with neutrals from the Naked palette and the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette.

  24. Marissa S. says:

the trio in Tokyo Kawaii looks absolutely amazing1 and both liners as well!

  25. Stefi says:

    Hi Karen,
this packaging is to diiiiie for, oh my, sooo pretty! That is one pretty little kitty <3 And your makeup look is fab, as always!
    How was the race?
    Love, Stefi

I would use the smokey shadows from the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette with some Midnight Black Eye-Need-Shu Liner.. and a dash of some glitter from the My Precious Glitter set πŸ˜‰

The blue smokey eye is stunning! That Midnight Black liner is so different! Do you recommend using primer under the eyes to prevent eyeliner from migrating?

  28. Jasmin says:

This Eye & Lip Palette is driving me crazy πŸ˜‰ Stunning!!!

  29. Jennifer Pham says:

For this one, I’d actually go for a soft cat eye – see if I can use that burgundy and black eyeshadow in the large palette wet to draw the liner πŸ™‚

  30. stalkthepostman says:

Love that midnight black liner – that’s what I’d use, although I’d probably experiment a bit with the shadows and my Annabelle transformer liquid <—sadly, very sadly, discontinued!!!

  31. Thu Nguyen says:

That trio in Tokyo Kawaii is so pretty! and this packaging is to die for.

  32. Alexis says:

I have never used the Shu Uemura line, aside from the eyelash curler, that palette looks awesome and honestly, how cute is that furry case? I would give that to my daughter – we both recently became obsessed with Choupette. She’s also dying to have a cat.

    • Karen says:

Gabi needs a cat! YOU NEED TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN!

      • Alexis says:

Trust me – I want it to happen just as much. I think my husband wants to wait till after the baby and when Gabi is a little older so she can start taking responsibility with caring for a pet. We were thinking about starting her with a guinea pig first.

        • Karen says:

I’m so happy for you! When is your due date?

Guinea pigs are good starter pets. My first was a black and white guinea pig named Susie. Or how about a fish? Super low maintenance and you don’t have to clean up the fur. She can keep it in her room for company!

Who knew Uncle Karl was a cat lady! I love the liners and most of the shadows and lippies! The lashes are too crazy for me. I’d enter but it’s asking to view my twitter password and a few other weird things so I’m going to skip this. I don’t recall Rafflecopter asking for those things in the past but I see this is a different product!

  42. Molly says:

For the purrfect cat eye, I would use the Shu eyelash curler. I have been eyeing it lately, and now it comes with a free kitty decoration!

  43. Alieke says:

I would totally use that eye and lip palette to make the perfect cat eye more colorful, and i would use some deep black eyeliner of course.

  44. karen says:

I’d use the eye and lip palette for a colorful cat eye, enhanced by the lashes πŸ™‚

  45. Kassie says:

I would use the Eye-Need-Shu Trio in 02 Tokyo Kawaii! The colors are amazing!

  46. cara says:

Dat eyeliner in midnight black paired with the Eye Need Shu lashes looks purr-fect!

  47. Fran says:

I *love* the eye look you did with this palette and would like to do it myself!

    • Karen says:

Thank you, Fran! I hope you do give a try. The shimmers are easy to blend (YES!) and the glow is just fabulous.

Hope you had a nice weekend! What’s going on over in southeastern Pennsylvania these days?

      • Fran says:

We’ve been having some nice fall weather, highs in the 60s most days, perfect for walking and hiking πŸ™‚

I got my makeup done by an it Cosmetics makeup artist at an event at my local ULTA on Saturday, it was fun! I already use and love their CC Cream (love that mineral SPF and glowing finish), Bye Bye Undereye, Bye Bye Redness (awesome), their primer mascara on my lower lashes and their regular mascara on my uppers (it actually curls them!). I came away with the Radiance Palette (beautiful, and I wouldn’t have looked at it if you hadn’t written about it), a tube of Vitality Lip Flush in Pure Joy (way prettier than it looks in the tube), and some of the new brushes they make for ULTA. Their original Ball Wand Brush has become one of my daily favorites, so I wanted more πŸ™‚

  48. Such an amazing post, Karen. I am sure you and Tabs had lot of fun πŸ˜€ Love the liners.

Oooh it’d have to be the Tarte Precision Liner for a purrfectly dramatic cat-eye, and of course, Stila “Kitten” of some kind, probably Magnificent Metals because I’m always down for extra sparkle <3

Congrats on your half marathon! The TIFFANY, ahhh, it's on my to-do list!

    • Karen says:

      Thanks, Marisa!

It was a challenging but a fun experience. Are you a runner, too?

      • Marisa says:

That’s an interesting question; for a long time I never actually liked running but did it all the time, not really thinking of myself to be a runner… just someone who habitually tormented herself. But in the past couple years it has grown on me, and then after I finished my first full in July I had this odd moment of realization that I am, in fact, a runner πŸ˜€

I have to tell you, I’m placing another MAC order right now, and it’s pretty much all your fault; your Novel Romance post has gotten me on a crazy MAC kick πŸ˜‰

  50. Megan says:

I love the eye colors in the Has it all palette – perfect!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Megan,

Yes! You could even mix the warm in with the cool colors if you were feeling extra creative.

I hope that you had a very nice weekend. What did you do?

  51. judy o'brien says:

love the collection. pick me, pick me

  52. Lisa S. says:

Oooo the entire palette is calling me! And of course the liners!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Lisa,

I think the liners are the unsung heroes of this collection. They are super long wearing and fun (just be sure to blend quickly if you plan to do any smudging, since they set very quickly).

Happy Monday, by the way! Did you have a good day?

  53. Yanisa says:

I would totally use the lashes! And of course you can’t forget the infamous cat eye with the liners!

  54. Rebecca Ray says:

I think the black, Gray and pink shadows from the shup has it all paired with the beautiful black liner, then just to glam everything up a notch add the fantasy pink lashes. So very fey!

  55. Suzanne G says:

I would use the grey and black shadow plus black liner and black mascara to create the cat eye.

  56. Fay. H. says:

I love the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette. That’s pretty much all I would need, from day to night or basic to dramatic!

  57. Deanna says:

I know that lots of people have already said this, but I have to say it, too. Your eye shadow is on point, girl! I am so tempted to buy the has-it-all palette (even though I just bought 4 new eye shadow palettes!). I just keep thinking “Do I really need another eye shadow palette?” But, I’m sick, so I’m justifying buying this one because it also has lipstick in the palette, and I don’t own any palettes like that. I seriously have a problem! Haha!

  58. Rebecca R. says:

This whole collection (packaging and products) looks amazing! I would use the colors in the Eye Shadow Trio 02, Midnight Black liner and Furry Fantasy lashes for a perfect cat eye.

  59. Danielle Dufault says:

    Meeeeow! Me wants!

  60. Susan says:

Great review, Karen! How is the quality of the brushes? Are they big and fluffy? Just tried out your promo code on the Canadian website, it worke!!!

  61. Chelsea says:

My favorite liner right now for cat eyes is a cheapie Ulta find from a brand called Pixel! They have great felt-tip liquid eye pens. I love the grey!

  62. Alison says:

Okay, Karen, I am freaking out! I LOVE Shupette. SHU-PETTE! There are no words. I can honestly say that I would just go crazy and do everything (smoky eyes, sparkly eyes, crazy cat eyes, bronze and silver smokey eyes) and try every lipstick after staring at the all in one palette for ages.

  63. Jennifer M-K says:

Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black looks like it would make a pretty sweet cat eye πŸ™‚

  64. Christina P says:

I would love to try the eye shadow & liner.

  65. Ms. Elise says:

My favorite cat’s eye liner is a rapidly-diminishing liquid liner pen from Nyx. I’m trying to decide what to try next – but I can’t justify another black liner right now when I have 6 of them and nothing else. Turquoise is next on my list, hopefully.

  66. Courtney says:

That midnight black liner is gorgeous!! And I’m normally a brown type gal.

But I have to say, the eyeshadow look you created is one of the most gorgeous I’ve seen in awhile! Must recreate immediately.

  67. Natalie Brown says:

Hi! My favorite item for the perfect cat-eye is the Eye-Need-Shu Trio in 02 Tokyo Kawaii. LOVE the colors!! Thanks!

  68. Cara W says:

Wow, amazing post! I love how you shared pics of all the shades against your skin! To create the purrfect cat-eye, I’d use Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black!

  69. y. says:

    I love cat eyes!!

  70. Susan T. says:

I am definitely in need of this whole collection! My perfect cat eye would use the Eye-Need-Shu Trio in Toyko Kawaii. I think the colour would be perfect with my kitties’ green eyes…I mean my green eyes! πŸ˜‰

  71. milaxx says:

I’d keep it simple with the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette and the Eye Shu eye liners.

  72. Nhu Le says:

I’d just do Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Gala Brown (since there’s some thing about a brown cat eye that’s just softer), with the Has It All palette to complement.

  73. Lalena J says:

I’d use the Eye-Need-Shu Liners in Midnight Black and then the palette to accent it the liner

  74. April Walker says:

The “has it all lip and eye pallet” would be my choice then…would have to look at your videos to learn how to do a smokey eye!! Not too good at that..even at 47 years old!! SAD…

  75. May says:

Karen your eyes!! WOW!!! If I only knew how to use blue eye shadow without looking like I was in a brawl! Still I would go with Eye-Need-Shu Trio in Parisienne Chic and Midnight Black.

I love the silk cushion. I am stumped when it comes to choosing just one. I think I might just go with orange.

  76. The false eyelashes and the navy eyeliner are amazing. I’d definitely use those to catify (?) feline-ify (?) meowify (?) my look. What an adorable collection from one crazy cat lady to another.

  77. Rosie says:

I LOVE the Eye-Need-Shu trio β€” I’ve never been able to pull off blue eyeshadow before, but these colors are just so gorgeous.

  78. Rita says:

    I’d use the eye-Need-Shu lashes!

  79. keisha says:

I really love the look of this collection! I can think of so many ways that I could wear this. And kitties!!!

  80. Kim says:

Oh, those furry fantasy false lashes would be a must for the purrrfect cat eye. πŸ™‚ And, OK, I have to admit that Choupette is very cute in the video. Truly the artist’s rendering of her on the packaging doesn’t do her justice (and I’m not crazy about the Shupette font). That said, I can see how her so-evil-they’re-eeveeel plans for thwarting Tabs and world domination go unpunished. But we all know what’s behind that beautiful, furry, innocent looking face. You’re not fooling us, Choupette! πŸ˜‰

  81. Trude says:

The Has-It-All palette has such a gorgeous grouping of eye shadows, I’d use the black shadow with a damp brush for a softer cat eye paired with the rose and wine colors.

  82. Crystal says:

The Has It All palette is puuurfect! I like the neutral eyes with the brighter lips because that is always my go to look. That pouch too is so cute!!

  83. Natalie says:

I love the eyeliners with the little paws on them! So cute!

  84. Lola says:

I would use the HECK out of those eyeshadows!

  85. Christina D says:

The Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black and those nice lashes πŸ™‚

  86. Lindsey says:

Midnight black liner + Parisienne Chic = Purrfect.

  87. Michaela says:

For my purrfect “cat eye” look, I’d try that trio in Eye-Need-Shu in Tokyo Hawaii with a black eyeliner although a dark brown would be good, too.

  88. Jennifer says:

I like the cat design! The Tokyo Kawaii looks like just the colors I would wear!

  89. jennifer witt says:

I would use the pencils to really go for a cat eyed look. The color of the pencils are BEAUTIFUL!

  90. Jianglei says:

I would use the warm side of SHUPETTE HAS-IT-ALL EYE & LIP PALETTE and a brown eyeliner to creat a soft cat eye look.

  91. Ashley Morrissey says:

Honestly, I wouldn’t know WHERE to start with a cat eye (they aren’t my specialty just yet) but I’d watch tutorials to try to achieve it!

  92. Colleen Boudreau says:

    Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black.

  93. artemis says:

I’d use the black eyeshadow as an upper eyelid liner and also do a flick.

  94. Undamaris says:

My favorite cat’s eye effect eye liners are Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils.

  95. kuro says:

Definitely the drawing pencil in midnight blue and use the darker shadow to define and set for an awesome cat liner

  96. Vanessa says:

    Gala brown liner looks superb!

  97. karissa says:

I’d do def.use the gel liners to help create that perfect cat eye . And maybe at a bit of Color with the Eye-Need-Shu Trio in Parisienne Chic

  98. Chloe says:

The fluttery pink lashes would be perfect for a cat look!

This collection is to die for!!

  99. Jenn erin says:

I would use the midnight black liner for my cat eye look!

  100. Andrea Darst says:

I’d use the Eye-Need-Shu Liner in Midnight Black!

  101. maria says:

    I would use the lashes!

  102. Genesis Maryrose says:

I would definitely use the Eye Need Shu Falsies and the eye/lip palette to get that purrfect cat eye look! This collection is so lovely! It looks great on you and thank for the inspiration!
