Philosophy, the makers of PMS (Purity Made Simple) face wash, just added a new collection to their burgeoning line of cosmetics. The Color of Grace includes tidbits for face, eyes, cheeks and lips, all of them with something special in common: pink!
The Color of Grace Shimmering Powder in Amazing Grace, $30
The Color of Grace Go With Grace Face Brush, $20
The Color of Grace Eye Lighting Shade Duo, $22
The Color of Grace Angel Kiss Lipgloss, $18
The Color of Grace Heavenly Light Pink Illuminator, $28
The Color of Grace Art of Blushing Coloring Book, $35
If I had to guess, I’d say Philosophy drew inspiration from their classic scent, Amazing Grace (one of my faves), and if these are anything like the few things I’ve tried from Philosophy’s makeup line so far (great for natural, understated looks), I can’t wait to see more. Might be great for when times call for just a light dash of color.
Have you tried any of Philosophy’s makeup? I like it. It kinda reminds me of Bobbi Brown.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I have to get my hands on that illuminator.
i haven’t tried any make-up from philosophy yet. but i love their skin care. I love their cleanser and moisturizer.

Karen says
Hi Shivotra, Which cleanser do you use? Purity Made Simple?
shivotra says
Yup. And I love it. No need for a make-up remover. Its the best cleanser I have tried.

Citrine says
Lol, PMS face wash…
The lip gloss tub actually looks kind of cute, I wonder if it collects fingerprint like FBI…
Karen says
Ha! It might. That doesn’t really bug me though… you can always wipe it off, right?
marisol says
The face brush looks so cute. I just want to pet it. Haven’t tried their make up line but I have tried their skincare. Hit & miss for me.
.-= marisol’s last blog post… This is me lately =-.
Karen says
What have you tried from them? I really love their face wash, but some of their moisturizers didn’t really do it for me.
Marisol says
I use hope in a jar as my morning moisturizer & really like it. Doesn’t break me out & leaves my skin feeling smooth. Their face wash I am not a fan of.
I also love, love, love Philosophy’s Falling in Love perfume.
.-= Marisol’s last blog post… This is me lately =-.
Karen says
Ah, no love for the PMS? LOL… is it the fact that it doesn’t foam, or is it the funky herbal scent?
Oh, I love the smell of Falling in Love too. They make some really fantastic scents!
marisol says
I like my soaps to lather. It’s a thing I have… hee hee

This line looks very elegant and graceful. I think I got to start pay more attention to Philosophy and give it some love.

Although they’re mostly known for their skin and body care stuff, they do have lots of very nice cosmetics… you should try it sometime! 🙂
mill says
cant get this where i am ( although sephora just brought in Urban Decay…. dare i say this could be next?) but the illuminator looks CUTE.
Karen says
Oh, nice. Did they bring in the entire UD line?
Catherine says
In general I haven’t been impressed by any Philosophy product I’ve tried yet but that brush is just so freaking cute.

Karen says
What items have you tried from the line?
Catherine says
I used up a whole thing of Hope in a Jar and Purity Made Simple, but HiaJ did nothing for my skin and Purity was ok but not amazing. I tried their Kiss Me lip treatment and was allergic to it. I actually also don’t like their 3-in-1s because I find their scents to be too synthetic… but I realize I’m probably way alone in this LOL…

I haven’t tried Philosophy makeup but I like this line. The brush and illuminator look so cute!

Karen says
Totally! I hope the brush is soft!
Tiffany says
I must get that illuminator… and the blushing coloring book looks cute as well. I wonder if these will be available at sephora?
Karen says
I’m guessing it will… they tend to pick up stuff later than the other stores, so it may be a few months.
NINA says
Lovin the packaging on all these – but if I were to choose, I would get The Color of Grace Art Blushing Coloring Book and the Color of Grace Heavenly Light Pink Illuminator. Im a huge fan of illuminators and I think this is just gorgeous!
Speaking of Philosophy – I did like the cleanser …. and put in an order too! 😛
Karen says
Glad to hear it worked for you! Isn’t it fabulous how it removes everything, even makeup?! They make a foamy version of it too, but I haven’t tried it yet. I figure if it ain’t broke…
NINA says
I agree … and weirdly enough im not big on foamy cleansers so this one works for me !!!
Frances says
Must have that pink gloss! I haven’t bought any philosophy makeup, but I have tried their lip gloss tubes a few times. I don’t remember why I didn’t buy any – must not have been the right color or texture.
Karen says
Have you tried their Kiss Me Balms? They’re very moisturizing and add just a kiss of color! I like to wear ’em when I work out.
Devs says
I have never tried Philosophy makeup, but this extremely cute packaging makes me want to!
Karen says
It’s nice stuff. The textures are good and the colors are very natural — good for those “no makeup” makeup days. 🙂
Aniela says
Yeah I don’t think I’ve ever tried Philosophy either but they look really cute, I just think they might be a little too light for me…this collection at least lol

Some of the stuff I’ve tried from them is pretty good for medium to darker skin tones. Try one of the blush/bronzer duos!
Grace says
LOL…. I’ve never tried Philosophy before but when I first saw it in Sephora and saw they had a “Grace” line I was tempted to get it just because it had my name on it… literally 😛
Karen says
Oh, that’s cute! You *have* to get at least the compact or the brush with your name on it!
Katie says
I really don’t like Philosophy’s makeup, it’s too blah for me. I do really love their body products though 🙂

What a pretty collection. The brush looks sumptuous!
Anastasia says
I haven’t tried the makeup yet, but it’s calling my name… like the look of that lip gloss.
knownever says
That illuminator looks cool. I just tried their moisturizer and its great so i’m sure they popped some skin benefits in that illuminator. however i can only hope the whole collection doesn;t smell like Grace. yuck!

I don’t know if it’s my hormones going haywire, but the “philosophy: see the beauty in everything” tag line is pulling my heart strings right now, and for that reason, I want to get these sticky little paws on the lipgloss compact – even if it doesn’t look like a great color for me, and the threat of fingerprints aggravates a little, and I just sort of prefer lipgloss in tubes since I’m way too lazy to haul around a lip brush. The power of language, huh? ;’) I also want the illuminator! And the coloring book is just precious! Jeez oh man, I just want every single last piece – and I’m normally the type of girl to do her makeup draggish, with inappropriately smokey eyes every single day and sometimes red lipstick to match. There’s just *something* about this collection … good going, Philosophy!
(I could maybe lose the eyeshadow, though? If I had to lose something, that is. I feel like it’s pretty, but borderline bland.)
I think you’d probably look smashing in the lipgloss, by the way. It looks like the color would suit you splendidly. Man, if only they had Philosophy around my neck of the woods! I guess there’s a point in the favor of going to uni in New York next year: Sephora, and the tantalizing cosmetics-splurging opportunities it entails. ;D Otherwise, there will always be eBay.
Chelsea says
All these look good . . . but I really just want my Philosophy The Supernatural lip and cheek tint back!
Molly says
Soooo pretty! I’ve got to have a go at that lipgloss and brush!
The Grace line is always good- I remember my mum using the body wash like ten years ago!
alistar says
All of these pink products were on QVC today, I gave in and ordered the set of extra large size of pms cleanser, which I love, the microdelivery exfoliating wash and the oxygen peel set.
I love pms cleanser, it cleans without over drying which is important here in the desert where I live. I also love their make up primer, the present. I use that every day before I put anything else on my skin, after my moisturizer and serum. It gives the skin a nice texture for make up and helps everything stay in place, plus its 25 dollars for 2 ounces that last a long time since you only use a pea sized amount.
Their make up palette is definitely more for every day the no make up look, its definitely not marketted at the mac or urban decay customer. I’ve considered their mineral foundation, but I’ve not made the leap, I am such a studio fix girl. I have a hard time giving up the black compact. I was seriously tempted by the pink illuminator, I just want to try anything with colour first before buying.
Christen says
I just got the illuminator and I absolutely love it. It was one of the few the makeup artist in Sephora put on my bare skin and I didn’t look ashy. It was just a gorgeous pink glow

i would love to try all of these, except the gloss- cant kiss, hair always gets stuck in it, just not worth the pretty shine for me.
i wish the face illuminator didnt have a brush though. i know it looks cute but all i can see is the bacteria building up on it ..ewwww…..
but i still want/need to try the cleanser and hope in a jar.
i also really want amazing grace perfume and body wash if it is what ive read about it. says its a fresh clean light scent and im TOTALLY all about that. fresh clean linen and those sorts of smells are my favorite!
