Some days you just gotta wear pink, ya know? And luckily, in the world of makeup, pink is not a color in short supply.
This pretty pink lipstick here goes by the name of Pink Heather. It’s actually what Burberry Beauty likes to call a Lip Mist, and it’s part of the brand’s lip-tacular collection for Summer 2012 (not to be confused with their Spring/Summer 2012 release).
I fell for the Lip Mists the first time I saw them last summer, but even with their impressive 5-hour wear time, and with as smooth and comfy as they feel, the $30 Burberry is asking for them still seems like a lot.
The entire lip-centric Burberry Beauty Summer 2012 collection includes…
- Sheer Summer Glow, $50 (limited edition)
- Lip Mist in Pink Heather No. 210, $30 (new to the permanent line)
- Lip Mist in Nude Honey No. 211, $30 (new to the permanent line)
- Lip Mist in Nude Peach No. 212, $30 (new to the permanent line)
- Lip Mist in Field Rose No. 213, $30 (new to the permanent line)
Pink Heather and her cohorts in the Burberry Beauty Summer 2012 gang arrive at Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom stores next month.

Gorgeous Karen! Can’t wait to get my hands on the Sheer Summer Glow compact & to check out the other 3 lip mist shades. Thanks for the beautiful pics as usual 🙂

Hi, Naomi. Me too. I like the sound of the Lip Mist in Field Rose. What a pretty name.
How’s your weekend coming along?

I love Burberry’s product packaging and the check design. Their beauty line is still quite new and I hope they will expand it. =) I wish they would come out with more brushes!
Karen says
OOH! The packaging is so beautiful, isn’t it? What have you tried from the line?
Joyce says
I have their blush in rose and blossom. I love blossom. It’s a coral-pink shade and it’s sooo pigmented. I’ve had it for more than a year and it still looks like I barely touched it because I just need a teeny tiny amount when I apply it. I also have their setting powder and it goes on translucent and doesn’t make me look powdery. It gives me a more natural finish.

so pretty! but with that $30 price tag, I might have to pass !

This looks great on you, Karen! $30 does sound like a lot, but… I don’t know. Five hours of wear plus a really smooth, comfortable finish? Pretty enticing 😉

so pretty 🙂 I like it 🙂

This looks goooood on you, Karen! I think this is one of those Miss Congeniality shade that would work for most and with most other items! 30 bucks is a bit of money to shell out on a lipstick, but FIVE hours of wear and that amazing texture? I just might be tempted enough to grab one!

I love the little swatch heart! What a clever way to show a color 🙂 I am in love with this product. Just the name ‘lip mist’ kind of has me hooked. It’s such a pretty sheer wash of color. I agree with you that the price is too much, but the color combined with the classic pattern on the lip stick itself may be too hard for me to resist!

This looks gorgeous on you … Im seriously thinking of caving. :-d
Karen says
Do it, do it! The Lip Mists are pricey but they’re really wonderful. Plus, you can never have enough pink lipsticks. AND IT’S YOUR BIRFTDAY!
