Rise and shine, pal o’ mine! Today for breakfast we’re having MAC on wheat toast with Nutella. 🙂
We have a delicious part deux post purée of six $16.50 MAC Cremesheen + Pearl collection Cremesheen Lipstick swatches to complete the 10-piece set we started last month (for reference, I’m an NC42).
All of them have been added to the MAC permanent line, so they won’t be going anywhere, and they’re available now at MAC stores, counters and online.
Of these, Koi Coral is the one I’ve been wearing the most. I friggin’ love it layered under pink and coral glosses (my favorite combo involves Urban Decay Streak Gloss).
In other news…
Happy Tuesday to ya! 🙂
Guess who stayed up too late last night (and by late she means 10:30, haha!). Yup, I re-read one of my old favorites, Judy Blume’s Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret.
Get this: my copy is from 1986 (!).
It’s kind of funny because there are no references in it at all to websites or Twitter or Instagram or anything Internet-related, and there are these little forms in the book with checkboxes that you can mark and then tear out and snail mail to a P.O. box with your check or money order (A MONEY ORDER!) to order the other books in the series.
Now THAT is old school.
I’ve literally lost count of how many times I’ve read this book… I think it might be in the thousands. It’s still just as good as I remember it, too.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

OMG.. they are so pretty… Little Buddha and Tokyo Tizzy are my favorites.

Oooh, they all look lovely. I think the fact that Sweet Sakura jumped out at me means that Fall is looming. 🙁 Not that I don’t love the season, it’s just hard to think about summer being over so soon.
I’ve never read any Judy Blume but I recognized the book title. I think it’s awesome that you’ve kept it and taken such good care of it for all these years (something else that seems to have been lost in the internet age). The “disposable” attitude is so depressing. Wait, sorry! That’s not very upbeat for a Tuesday. HAHA!

Sweet Sakura calls out to me.
Ad I still remember these books from back in the days, but the only one I kept is a book on appropriate women behavior written in the 30ies/40ies. Scary…

Sweet Sakura looks great on you!

Pretty Boy and Tokyo Tizzy are my favorite here. I’ve never tried the Cremesheen lipstick formula, although I’m a big fan of the gloss version!

Sweet Sakura, Pretty Boy and Sweet Magnolia are all so gorgeous! The pearly shine really adds something special to the lipstick. A big fan of these, I might find myself in the MAC store reeeeaaal soon! 😉

Such pretty lipstick colors!
How cool that you still have your original copy of that book! I wish I still had copies of my old books like Sweet Valley High and Babysitter’s Club. I would love to read through those!

Sweet Sakura is my favourite. It’s a great colour for fall.

Wow! They all look so gorgeous on you!!!
I miss the ’80s sometimes. I had night by myself and ordered some pizza and watched Ghostbusters….it was amazing seeing people walk around without cellphones, looking up…don’t get me wrong, I love technology but I could do without the constant sensory overload sometimes…except for reading fun beauty blogs 🙂
Karen says
I miss the ’80s and early ’90s sometimes too. I can’t believe I didn’t have an email address until college, lol!
What kind of pizza did you order? I had the same thing for dinner tonight (it was just plain ol’ cheese pizza).
Cherie says
My favorite pizza – margherita – I can never have too much fresh basil 🙂
I didn’t have an email address till college either! I remember getting on webcrawler and thinking it was so cool. In a way, I’m glad I had childhood in the 80’s – it’s amazing how much changed in such a short period of time!

I’ll take all of those lipsticks! I still have my Enid Blyton Faraway Tree & Secret Seven/Famous Five books. Old books are great as long as they don’t have that smell.

Sweet Sakura and Pretty Boy look great for medium to deep complexions!
