Yay! Have you paired it with any powder shadows yet?

As for primer, I’m not the biggest fan of Urban Decay Primer Potion, but do have it in my makeup stash. I’ve found that using less is better for me. On the rare occasion that I use it, I put some on the back of my hand, and apply a thin layer on the lid with a synthetic brush.

It sounds like you’ll have to do some makeup experimenting, which is FUN! :) Try varying the amounts of the primer to the cream shadow, and perhaps use different application methods (brushes, fingers) until you find the combo that works.

Dunno if you’re a MAC girl, but another primer option is to use a Paint Pot! Lemme know if you have any other questions, and I hope this helps!

Hey Karen,

I bought Fairytale last week, and I love it. So sheer and pretty for spring.

I also bought some Primer Potion over the weekend, because I noticed that about an hour after I tried Fairytale, it creased majorly... I'm not sure if it was because of the amount the makeup artist put on (it seemed like a lot), or if my eyelids are just oily (possible). But yeah, now I'm confused about how much Primer Potion to put on, should it be a thin layer, or thicker?

I just came across your blog last week or so, and I love it!

Mmmm, that sounds pretty! I don't even want to think about how beautiful the Shiseido pink would be with the Chanel spring quad......

Hi Evil Charity,

I use dense synthetic brushes. I used one with a larger head for the browbone and crease application (it's a MAC brush, the number escapes me right now but I can check when I get home) and one with smaller head for the lid (MAC 239).

Fingers would do ya if you really wanted that sheer, transparent wash of color though!

What color did you end up snagging, btw? Have you paired it with any powder shadows?
