Hi, ladies! I’m here at my fave MAC counter at Nordstrom picking up a tube of the new MAC Dazzle Lash Mascara ($12). I can’t wait to try it when I get home. I hope it delivers glamorous lashes.
Speaking of the eternal quest for bigger lashes, I was wondering if you’ve heard of a product by Beauty Society called Enormous Lash. It’s a liquid lash growth formula that’s supposed to dramatically increase the length of your lashes. You apply the serum to your lash line, kinda like a liquid liner, and in about 30 days your lashes supposedly grow longer and fuller.
Usually I’m very skeptical of lash growth products, but all the makeup artists here are raving about the results. Each person gushes over and over again, “Oh my gawd. It TOTALLY works.”
A single tube of Enormous Lash costs $95 (ouch), but they tell me that’s enough for at least six months.
While I’m tempted to get a tube for myself, I really want it more for my mom-in-law for when she starts doing chemo. She has really long lashes now (which El Hub inherited, the lucky bum), and I know they’ll probably fall out, so I want to give her something that will help her when that time comes.
Have you used Enormous Lash? Did you get good results?
Hope you’re having a great Thursday. I’m off to go play with some Dior shadows. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Janelle says
Oh my, $95! At that price it better work! This intrigues me, but I’ll def pass for now since I can’t spend that much on a lash accelerator. I think getting it for your mother-in-law is such a thoughtful idea!

hey karen! i heard khloe kardashian uses it and is a big fan also. i hope your mother-in-law get’s better and that’s so sweet of you to think of that.

Aw, that’s so sweet to think of your mother-in-law. I don’t know if you’ve heard of Revitalash, it’s the same thing as Enormous Lash; you apply it as a liquid liner and it’s supposed to make your lasshes fuller. Well, the founder of Revitalash only developed it because his wife, who once had long lashes, was undergoing chemo and her eyelashes were falling out and her husband wanted her to feel confident again. SO SWEET.

That really made my heart smile that you want to buy that lash serum for you mom-in-law =)
I’m thinking of getting a tube of Dazzlelash myself tomorrow since it’s payday and it’s only $12 – I wonder if it’s better than plushlash…
Sylvie says
Oh yes do compare Dazzlelash and Plushlash! Anyway, I don’t really know this product, but I know that you can put a lash serum on the tail of your eyebrows if you are one of those whose eyebrows are too short/sparse towards the end.

I haven’t heard of this particular product but I have heard that revitalash and marini lash work very well. Those are even more expensive so I think if you wanna pick this up for your mom-in-law, it would be a good deal!! I think the idea of them all is the same but I remember reading somewhere that the marini lash might contain some harmful ingredients so I don’t know if the same rumor applies to this product as well. I will definitely have to research it! Some people react better to chemo than others but I guess you have to look at it as a means to an end and I pray that she will be just fine =)
I totally know the feeling, btw.. my boyfriend has these thick thick lashes and deep eyes and it always looks like he is wearing mascara and his eyes are moist, lol 😛 I make fun of him to cover up my jealousy =)

I have heard about the product but was unaware of its prices. I’m hoping to buy this product MAC Dazzle Lash Mascara today.

Hi Karen! Haven’t seen you in a while!!! How do you like the Dazzlelash? Of all the mascaras that MAC has, I have to say that Dazzlelash has seemed to make the most impact on my clients. And speaking of Enormous Lash…that stuff seems to REALLY work. I barely have ANY lashes so I tried it, but I’m so inconsistent with using the enormous lash that I don’t know if it works on me. However, I’ve seen quite a few fellow artists of mine that have used it and have reaped some pretty amazing results!

That’s so sweet of you to think of your mother-in-law. I’m sure she’d appreciate the gesture a lot. 🙂

Hi Karen,
I’m sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I hope she gets healthy and happy soon. It’s thoughtful of you to think of her like that.
I’ve never heard of this particular product either. What really cought my attension at first sight of this post is the packaging! I love this packaging!
p. potter says
That’s pretty pricey for lash length; I’ll just stick with false lashes for special occasions.
It’s a very sweet gift for your mom-in-law–I’m sure she’ll love it.

I too am always sceptical about those products. I bought a dirt cheap one from DHC and I have hardly used it because I think it irritates my eyes.
I am sorry to hear about your mother-in-law but it’s so lovely that you thought of her. What kind of chemo is she going on? My grandma is 80, and she’s undergoing chemo too, but we asked the doctors to put her on the Roche one, which is a lot more gentle, slower and doesn’t really have any side effects that are associated with chemo. She’s fine, she just doesn’t want to eat much really.
Best wishes to your mother in law and family.

Never heard of this but I have very sparse lashes so if you try it and it really does work I would totally spend the money. I just bought Diorshow Mascara from Sephora, it’s coming in the mail. I hope that works for me! Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I hope that she is doing well!

OMG I have heard so much about this product and also a similar one called li lash I am debating weather to pick one up when im in NY in Jan as we dont have it over here!
Where did you see it for sale??
I think its a lovely idea for your mother in law im sure she would really appreciate your thoughtfulness. My aunt was very ill last year and because she was unable to eat for a long time the weight loss and lack of nourishment made her hair go very thin and her lashes fall out and I really wish I had know about this at the time, we tried lots of thing with her but none really seemed to help but ive heard the results with this can be incredible!
abigail says
hey karen :)i hear the revitalash is more expensive because one tube can last you between6-9 month, while the Enormous lash , though it takes a shorter amount of time to work, can only last you 3 month 🙂
Gemma says
Didn’t Revitalash and Jan Marini run into legal issues because their lash products contained Bimatoprost (a glaucoma drug that can only be administered with a prescription)? I remember Jan Marini got in trouble and then Revitalash revamped their formula to avoid further legal problems.

I use an old mascara wand with vaseline and apply it to my lashes every night, and they’re bigger already, It’s more noticeable in the bottom lashes, they now CURL by themselves, they’re so big. I suggest you all try it girls.

I have not tried/heard of that lash growth product but I have heard of Revitalash which is supposed to be THE product to use…Becky Newton (plays the self-obsessed blond receptionist on Ugly Betty) was talking to Instyle Magazine about how all of Hollywood is using it and there really is no need for mascara if you use it. I’ve read about it lots of other magazines and celeb interviews too… It’s by prescription only and costs $150. Apparently you start to see huge results in week 6 of using it. If you could try it out for us tell us how it works I would definitely love you : )

This is actually the reformulated version of what used to be Intuit Beauty Massive Lash.. Nordy’s has always carried it and was one of their best sellers.. I tried the original version which seemed to work but I lost my tube a month later and I couldn’t get myself to spend another 95buckaroos on it *sigh* This formula I heard is Paraben free which is definitely better 🙂 I’ma hit Santa up for this one!
Vibeke says
I have tried the Inuit Enormous Lash and it works! I was really eager to see if it worked, and it sure did. My lashes are normally short and straight, and with the use of this I could use almost any mascara and get great long lashes. Now I am looking for a mascara that gives volume, rather than trying to get one that curls, give lenght and volume.
The result did not show straight away, I had to use it for a month or so to see the good result. My tube lasted about 4-5 months or so….
Hope your mother in law finds the product working as good as I did.
Karen says
Hi Janelle,
Thank you. I hope it works for her! (It better at $95).
Karen says
Hi Megan,
Oh! Khloe has very nice lashes… I just always assumed hers were naturally full.
Thank you for your nice thoughts for my MIL!
Karen says
Hi Lindsay,
What a sweet story! Thank you for sharing that with me. I will have to do some more digging into that product.
Karen says
Hi Lexi,
🙂
Gotta love payday! That’s when I find myself trotting by the MAC counter to allegedly just “look”.
I’m wearing it right now, and although I’ll have to wait a few days to do a full review, right now it’s looking like a pretty good lengthener!
Karen says
Hi Sylvie,
Yeah! One of the artists told me that you could apply Enormous Lash to sparse brows, too!
Karen says
Hi Nosh,
Thank you for your prayers, hon. I really, really appreciate it. 🙂
Isn’t it unfair when boys get such lovely lashes and can’t appreciate them? I have begged El Hub for years to let me use a Shu Uemura lash curler on him just once because I know curling his lashes will make them look UNREAL! But alas, he refuses to even let me come near him with it, ha ha ha!
Karen says
Hi Kiera H,
Nice! Which shade are you buying?
Karen says
Hi Jen,
I was hoping I’d run into you last night! Ah, are you only working mornings these days?
Hmm, do you think I should use the primer with the Enormous Lash?
Hopefully we’ll run into each other soon!
Karen says
Hi Karen B.,
I hope she likes it… and that she uses it! I dunno if she’s ever used liquid liner so I might have to do a tutorial for her.
How’s your Friday going?
Karen says
Hi Emme,
Thank you. 🙂 I will pass along your good wishes.
This picture doesn’t do the packaging justice! It’s super cute in person — very girlie and pretty.
Hope you’re having a lovely Friday!
Karen says
Hi P. Potter,
I hope she does. I just hope the stuff works, you know?
Speaking of false lashes, what is your favorite brand? I’m sort of obsessed with them now, ever since I used that crazy pair for Halloween. I am going to practice applying them this week so I can wear them for my friend’s wedding.
Karen says
Hi Jian,
Thank you for your note. I’m glad to hear your grandma is doing fine… she sounds like a tough lady! 🙂
My MIL hasn’t started chemo yet, but I’m assuming it’ll be soon. I’ve talked to El Hub on the phone a few short times, but haven’t been able to get the details because he just sounds really exhausted. I’ll know when he gets home.
Karen says
Hi Katee,
Which Diorshow did you get? Right now I’m loving on the Iconic version.
Thanks for asking about my MIL. Her surgery was yesterday and today El Hub and my FIL are taking her home. 🙂
Karen says
Hi Holly,
I saw Enormous Lash at Nordstrom!
Oh, my friend tried Li Lash. She didn’t really notice a difference, but then again, her lashes are really sparse and practically non-existant.
I’m sorry to hear about your aunt. Is she doing better now?
Karen says
Hi Abigail,
Hmm! Both seem intriguing.
I just wish they were cheaper, sigh.
Karen says
Hi Gemma,
I read on the Beauty Society that this formulation of Enormous lash is free from prostaglandin, which is the controversial ingredient.
Karen says
Hi Rita,
Thanks for the tip, Rita. 🙂
BTW, I *love* your country! I’ve been there once and can’t wait to go back.
Karen says
Hi Okyanus,
Oh my! I wonder if my health insurance will cover this! 🙂
Karen says
Hi Luv J,
That’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll ask for this as my (only) stocking stuffer.
Holly says
Hi Karen,
Oh noo they dont have Nordstrom in NYC 🙁 Im sure I will be able to hunt it down from somewhere though!!
My aunt is doing really well now thankyou for asking! She will have to be careful with her diet etc for the rest of her life but all that any of us cared about was her coming through the other side so nothing seems like a big sacrifice now!!

Never heard of this product. I am weary of these products at times. Seem too gimmicky.

I have been using Enormous Lash since August of 08 and i absolutely LOVE the product!!!! it not only gave me longer lashes but they are truly thicker as well…..I use the product 2 times a day and wipe off the excess formula as to not waste any and i still have not needed to purchase a new tube! i would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for gorgeous lashes 🙂 i’ve never gotten so many compliments on my eyes before lol
