I stopped by the mall tonight after work to window shop for shoes (my Adidas Shell Toes are on their last legs), but, alas, *forces* drove me toward the mighty cosmetics department.
At the Estée Lauder counter I stared hypnotically at this pink mountain of awesome limited edition Pink Ribbon products for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Half a million dollars in proceeds from the sale of World Pink products this month will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The girl working behind the counter warned me that the Elizabeth Hurley Lip Color Collection ($16) is selling fast.
Check out the jeweled pink ribbon pin ($12.50), bling!
I was tempted by the lip sets. The first one, called the Evelyn Lauder Lip Collection ($22), comes with three full-sized lipsticks in some of Evelyn Lauder’s fave shades (pinks and berries). The second set, the Elizabeth Hurley one, includes three sheer and shiny High Gloss lipglosses in Pink, Rose and Pearl.

I hope you had a fab day today. Your kindness and response to the Breast Cancer Awareness Month post this morning blew me away. It looks like we’ll reach (and hopefully exceed) the $100 goal ($200 with matching) for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, so you deserve a big hug for that. Great job. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Ooh, I saw the display when I came to the mall last weekend. I know the Elizabeth Pink lipstick is a hot item but didn’t register the timing. The Macy’s near me has a Beauty Week for the first half of the month, I’m wondering if yours does the same thing too.

UUGH! I wish that pink wasn’t the offical color of breast cancer stuff. I haaaaaate pink!
Why can’t they make some of it purple or… something that isn’t pink.

I love Estee Lauder glosses, they’re my favourite because they smell absolutely yummy and they aren’t sticky. I’m shopping tomorrow so I’ll definitely check these out.
I’ve got a pic of the tattoo up on the blog now if you want to take a peek. Its not a great picture, but when it heals I’ll get another one done I think.

First, I have to say. I just found your website a few weeks ago, and I absolutely LOVE it. I frequent it daily. Second, my aunt was diagnosed with Breast Cancer about 6 months ago, but has since had a mastectomy and is now living Cancer Free! Woo hoo! And I love that Estee Lauder came out with the pink line. I am gonna have to definitely check out the lipglosses.

Cute 🙂
But I think new idea for Breat cancer month products are needed instead of glosses and lippies every year. But if people buy them, then thats all that matters 🙂

I am trying to purchase the Estee Lauder Pink Diary for 2011? Can anyone out there help me?
Thanks

Why doesn’t Estee produce products specifically for breast cancer patients instead of promoting the pink ribbons for the cause?
