I’m not even a huge Minnie fan!
Don’t get me wrong, I love Disneyland, and the Disney movies from the early 1990s are seriously a part of my soul, but I’ve just never been one to collect Disney paraphernalia.
My goodness, though, the limited edition Disney Minnie Beauty By Sephora Collection is blowing me away. Now I want to start hoarding all things Minnie.
I’ve been playing with the Minnie’s World in Color Eyeshadow Palette ($45), Minnie’s Black & White Felt Eyeliner Duo ($20), Reflection of Minnie Compact Mirror ($26), Brush up on Glamour – Minnie’s Beauty Tools ($58), Minnie’s Inner Glow Luminizing Blush ($22) and the Perfect Red Lipstick ($15) this month, and I have to say that I’ve been so impressed, both with the quality of the products and, of course, the super cute packaging.
Minnie’s World in Color Eyeshadow Palette comes in a sturdy black clutch with gold polka dots, and both the mirror and the eyeshadows are removable, making the clutch totally usable!
There are 20 eyeshadows of varying sizes, and I like the arrangement, like how the middle of the palette has the larger sized eyeshadows in more neutral colors, while the outer rows have smaller sizes for the bolder colors.
I’d never tried Sephora’s eyeshadows before, but the eyeshadows in the Minnie palette are very smooth and pigmented. The only ones that I think are less than stellar are I’m All Ears (the matte black) and Puppy Love (the light creamy yellow).
Overall the palette has so much variety that I think it could easily be an everyday staple. You get neutral colors in the middle, along with lots of fun brights and deeper colors to spice things up.
The adorable $58 “Brush Up On Glamour – Minnie’s Beauty Tools” is a set that comes with five brushes.
There’s a fluffy powder brush, an angled blush/contour brush, a tapered blending brush, a flat eyeshadow brush and a small angled eyeliner brush.
I believe the three larger brushes are natural fiber, and the smaller two are synthetic. All of them feel good in my hand, and the cute handles are a nice length. The bristles feel fairly soft (but Morphe and Zoeva brushes do feel softer, IMO), and I noticed any shedding yet, although I haven’t used them extensively yet and have only washed them once.
With as cute as they are, they’re a must if you’re a Minnie lover, or if you just want something really cute on your vanity.
Note that the brush stand has little holes along the back so you can only hold the five brushes (or five other brushes with similar barrels), so it’s not something that you can readily repurpose.
Next, there’s the Minnie’s Black & White Felt Eyeliner Duo, which is one of my favorite things in the collection. The tips are a perfect balance between thin and durable — not so thick that you can’t use them to draw a tiny flick, but they aren’t so thin, either, that they end up being super flimsy and hard to control. I’m very impressed with these liners and recommend them highly.
But my favorite, FAVORITE item in this collection is the Perfect Red Lipstick, and its name is pretty spot-on. It’s vibrant, rich, and it has a really pretty sheen that stops short of being glossy.
The packaging also feels heavy and luxe, but most of all, I LOVE how Minnie is embossed on the tip of the lipstick.
Full disclosure: for these pictures, I used a lip brush to apply the lipstick so I wouldn’t disturb the tip. I just couldn’t bring myself to ruin it!
An apricot blush with gold shimmer, Minnie’s Inner Glow Luminizing Blush isn’t overly shimmery. It has more of a nice sheen than a high shine shimmer. On my skin tone, it adds just a hint of sheen, but on lighter tones, I think it would be a really pretty peach blush.
And here are a few more swatches of some of the other products:
Lastly, there’s also a super cute, very well made gold compact mirror (has normal and 2x magnification) that feels nice and heavy and comes with a cute black and gold carrying case, so it won’t get scratched up in your purse.
Here’s a rundown of what I’m wearing in these photos: Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow in 8 (review and swatches in this post) // Glossier Stretch Concealer in Dark (review and swatches in this post) // Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder // Minnie’s Inner Glow Luminizing Blush // Some Like It Dot from the Minnie’s World in Color Eyeshadow Palette // Perfect Red Lipstick // Black liner from Minnie’s Black & White Felt Eyeliner Duo // Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown // Dior Brow Styler Gel in Brown (review in this post) // Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
My picks for “Best Products Overall” are the Perfect Red Lipstick, Minnie Compact Mirror and Minnie’s Black & White Felt Eyeliner Duo, but all of the items are available now at Sephora.
Are you a Disney collector? Do you have anything from this collection yet?

I really liked the lipstick but other than that I wasn’t too impressed overall.

The lipstick is definitely a standout!

I am by no means a Disney Collector, but the collection looks much more sophisticated than I thought.
Adia says
I agree 100%. Normally I would walk right past something like this but the collection is really well done.

I got the lipstick. It’s a really nice lipstick, and the packaging is adorable! I managed to resist the eye palette, but it sure is cute.

The lipstick is amazing!

I’m not a Minnie Mouse fan but this is a very pretty collection. The packaging is just too adorbs & seems better than I thought it’d be. I’m afraid I’d never use the palette, though I’d definitely carry it as a clutch, so it’s an easy pass for me. Must resist the cute packaging 🙂
Adia says
The palette is much higher quality than I expected, but like you the colors aren’t what I typically reach for. It is so cute thought!

I’d never have thought of looking into this without your review, but you do make it look pretty good! That red lip color is perfect on you but might pull too orangey on me. The shadow palette is creative and practical with the different sizes of pans, and the colors do look nice. My burning question, though, is if you did your do in mini buns to get a subtle Minnie look?!?! If so, clever. If not, still very cute!!
Adia says
Yes Amy!!! The buns were 100% Minnie inspired ? Literally made my day that you noticed!
Amy says
Haha that is awesome!! I knew it!! ????

Ugh, this is beyond adorable. I need that brush set in my life!

It is beyond cute!!
