Have you checked out Bobbi Brown’s new Platinum Collection?
I loved her last release, Blushed Pink (pretty!), and this time Bobbi gave us several new lipgloss and cream eyeshadow colors, along with a limited edition Shimmer Brick. The color palette’s a mix of cool gray, pink and peach, with a dash of purple.
Remember how I was drooling over the Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick ($40) a few weeks ago? HOLLA!
New Ash, New Heather, New Platinum and New Steel
Long-Wear Cream Shadow in New Heather ($22), a matte purplish gray, should look great worn by itself or as a base for smokey eyes. I can see her pairing perfectly with colors from the Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick on the cheeks. Hawt!
From top to bottom: New Nougat, New Glacier, New Confetti
Do you remember the last time you wore a shimmery gray lipgloss like New Glacier Lipgloss ($20)? Uh, like never, right? I’m guessing this unusual shade could work layered on top of other products or perhaps in the outer corners of the lips, like Lancome’s Piha Black lipgloss. Color me curious.

Nah… nothing impressing me. I feel like the shimmer brick is too metalic for my golden/olive skin.
Ill stick to Elizabeth Arden & Guerlain’s new stuff!!
Karen says
Hi Tali,
What do you plan on getting from Elizabeth Arden and Guerlain?
YadiQ says
this looks pretty but probably too subdued for me
i am however yearning to make a custom 6 pan palette with her metallic brights
i just cant seem to cough up the cash these days for it though – did i tell you i lost my mascara!!! 🙁 i was so depressed for 3 days i cant live without my chanel imitable 🙁 luckily i had a back up sample of exceptionnel this will have to hold me down for a while lol

I like the new collection, but the colors look dupeable. Since my spending is limited right now, I’ll probably pass on it.
Karen says
Hi Daya,
I hear ya. If you end up ever stopping by the counter maybe just check out the gray gloss — it’s just fun to look at because it’s so weird!

wow tough crowd – looks like the people are divided over this collection! I think I’m loving Bobbi Brown again due to my MAC overhaul. I will have to see this collection in person esp. the Blushed Pink colors right after I buy my Amber Lights shadow – hahahhahaha!

I was a MAC devotee but tried BB again and I think I am tipping over to the BB side of the fence for now. Still love MAC. I have amber lights…great color…can go well with Soba, Mulch and a nice soft pairing with Sweet Lust. Another one in the neutral family would be Kid and its nice since it is a matte in case you don’t want as much frosty vibe. Since this is my first post not sure if this is ok but I just tried the BB exfoliating granules…they are super for your own personal exfoliating distribution (you choose how much to use). Enjoy and thanks for all your info!

I just got New Heather yesterday and tried it today over Laura Mercier Eye Basic in Flax – it’s a really nice muted look, which is exactly what I wanted.

I think the only thing I’d get from this collection is the shimmer brick. Although I have always wanted to try her cream shadows. Will you be posting reviews Karen?
Karen says
Hi Michelle,
BB Cream Shadows are great! The aren’t as flashy as the MAC Paint Pots or Benefit Creaseless Creams, but they’re easy to use and last all day.
I’m gonna try and swing a review of the Shimmer Brick… it’s calling to me! I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to resist.
How was your day? Anything exciting happen? I’m getting ready to watch 30 Rock!

I want to see that gray gloss in person!!:-)

Hi Michelle, I have to second Karen on the BB cream shadows – they are VERY good. I have almost all of them, and use them alone or as bases. My absolut favorite has to be Galaxy – I (too often) put that on with some liner and out the door….love it!
Karen? the BB site describes New Steel as a dark deep brownI believe…so I was going for Ash – but your swatches has me doubting – is Ash more Brown, and Steel more grey???

The Pink Shimmer Brick is all the rage with pro MUA’s!!! We all have one in our kit…hmmm – maybe we know something like these colors bring life and light to your face and help to reduce that nasty winter dullness!!
Jane says
Does BB cream shadows crease without primer or paint pot underneath? Or is a primer a must for these or any cream shadows? Is the shimmer tame enough for a professional workplace?
And totally not related, but can someone help me how to wear MAC e/s in “girlie”? I’m Asian, NC 30, cool-toned (I think), and I don’t like bright-in-your-face makeup, but this color was a gift and I really think it’s pretty. But I have no idea if I should even use it b/c it might clash with my skintone, and I don’t know what colors go with it. Please help!
margie says
I can confirm no need for primer…in fact, I consider the BB cremes to work similar to the MAC paint pot…like their own primer. They definitely last all day…I just took mine off ;>
Also, BB is offering 25% off on-line purchases right now (till tomorrow). In case anyone is interested in the Platinum shimmer brick.
