Calling all chocoholics! I was surfing Stila’s website the other day and spied this limited edition Chocolate Palette Set. Isn’t it lurvely? I can’t stop thinking about it… like how I get when I’m craving brownies!
The case is what drew me to it. That faux suede packaging reminds me of fall boots… and chocolate. The thing just screams CHOCOLATE! What do you think of the embossed leaf pattern on the case and the pink agate under the ribbon? Pretty, yah?
The set sells for $40 and comes with three neutral eye shadow shades in brown, peach and beige; a peach blush; Lip Glaze lipgloss in Grapefruit (a frosted pink) and a tube of Stila Major Lash mascara. That’s about $6.70 per product, which isn’t bad at all.
What do you think? Drool worthy or passable?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Hey Karen!
Don’t think about it Karen, and splurge! I would have done it already if I had the chance!)
I absolutely love it!! I’m definitely lemming for one. Do you know where I can get one of those sets online? (Have I said that $40 is sooooo cheap!!
I’m about to end New Moon, so I’ll have to get the third book. I’ve just realized that I don’t know if the saga ends with the fourth one. I’m enjoying them so much! All that vampy story just combines perfectly with this Fall make up trends, don’t you think?
Hugs!

Hi Eru,
You can buy it online from the Stila website. Hit the link on the first paragraph and it should take you there.
Girl, you are going through those books so fast! That’s one of the advantages of waiting until the whole series is out… you don’t have to wait months (or years) for the next part of the story. And yes, the fourth book is the end of the series. *tears*
I totally agree with the fall colors being on point with the vampires!
Hope you’re having a great week!

I like it! It looks like a See’s candy box. Have you used any of the products in the set Karen?
4. April said, on August 20th, 2008:
For me it’s passable because I have similar colors already and I already have the lip glaze and the mascara. If I didn’t though, I would definately get it!

That is a pretty palette. Don’t tempt me as I am waiting for tomorrow to blow my wad on MAC.

Girl…this is so right up my alley and you know it!!! Definitely drool worthy. So right now I’m still finishing house stuff…so no makeup purchase right now. This whole budget thing is for the birds though…but honestly I’ve been so busy lately that I barely have time to think about new makeup…other than all my time spent devotedly reading MABB.
The new place is coming along…although we still haven’t finished painting…maybe we will finish this weekend. It will be so worth it when it’s done though…oh and btw i got this huge blister on my hand
any rememdies?

Hi Melissa,
No, not yet! I am going to go to Sephora on Friday and see if they have it there. *crosses fingers*

Hi April,
Ah! I don’t have Grapefruit (yet). Do you wear it by itself, or do you pair it with other shades?
9. Karen said, on August 20th, 2008:
Hi Marisol,
LOL… I already called the counter and asked them to put stuff on hold! Cult of Cherry, here we come!

Hi Megan,
GIRL! Are you ever going to finish painting? The only remedy I can think of for that blister is to hire somebody next time (just kidding)! Um, well, I know from the occasional foot blister that it helps for me not to touch or pop it (as tempting as it may seem). Taking a pain killer seems to help me too. Yikes, are you going to be painting with that hand this weekend, too? Maybe wear gloves and be extra careful…
I really need to get thinking about house stuff. I’ve been working a ton lately and now things are rapidly devolving into disarray! My desk is a hot mess right now.

I love Stila palettes, but MAC’s gonna kill my wallet, so I’ll have to wait until I get some extra cash to spend on other makeup. I always kinda feel like I’m cheating on my other makeup by being such a MAC freak.

this is a totally droolable palette, such a great bargin. I LOVE stila’s eyeshadows and the mascara is one of my favorites. BUt I will pass since I have a ton of colors that are similar….

Hi Elle,
Yeah, I hear ya. I’m so ready to get my Cult of Cherry on today, WOOT!

Hi Amanda,
I know! I am totally lusting after it but I will have to wait…
I need more Stila eye shadow in my life! I’ve read the single pan shadow sometimes has a different consistency than the palettes. Do you think this is true?

Hi Karen,
Although the Stila palette sounds mighty tempting (who can pass up chocolate?) I’m waiting to blow hubby’s cash on MAC…
18. Karen B said, on August 22nd, 2008:
Yes. Stila still holds a place in my heart, being the first quality make-up brand I ever bought something from.
I’ll have to see. I’m going on holiday to England tomorrow so maybe the MAC collections are already there… So it depends if Overrich is out there already I might get some of that and then no Stila palette. If not then this palette is high on my list ^^

I definitely want this! I’m a huge brown shadow fan, and the coordinating colors all look so wearable. Perfect for fall!
