Girl, you know I go to Target every two seconds. There’s one about two minutes from my house.
Actually, it’s walking distance, now that I think about it…
Oh, my gosh! If I had to hoof it to Target for something, I could totally get there (MIND BLOWN).
Anyway, I’m there almost every other day. You know, good prices, perfect quantities (I don’t need 400 rolls of toilet paper at one time), and I can basically find all of life’s necessities as soon as I walk through those doors.
Story of my life: I walk into the store for one thing — a bag of cat treats, a new outfit for Connor Claire, scrunchies, a giant tub of peanut butter, coffee or a beauty products for myself — but I never get upset when a pint of pistachio ice cream or a couple of tubes of ChapStick also fall into my cart.
Hey…it happens.
FYI, in case you weren’t aware, Target is like the Valhalla of ChapStick. They have practically every variety of ChapStick under the sun, including my faves, the Total Hydration Moisture + Tint ChapStick shades, which are the newest ChapStick products with a hint of color.
The Moisture + Tints moisturize while adding a little color, which, you know…basically helps me feel like I can handle LIFE. LOL!
It’s a well-known scientific fact (not really) that soft, tinted lips make everything better. I can apply the non-sticky ChapStick Moisture + Tint products without a mirror, which makes me much more likely to use them throughout the day than other tinted lippies that are so pigmented that I have to be super careful with them.
Speaking of mirrors, when I go to my HIIT class at night, I like to pop Coral Blush on my lips because it makes it easier to look at myself in those terrible gym mirrors with that horrible gym lighting…
I swear, they’re haunted fun-house mirrors.
Or I’ll put on a little Rose Petal while I’m wandering around the grocery store or the Target aisles (obvs), because I always feel a bit better when I’m wearing a little color. I feel less like Tired Mom Karen and more like Perky Sassy Karen.
Or sometimes, when I’m just hanging out with the baby in the front yard and want to text a “hello!” pic to my mom or El Hub, I’ll put on Merlot, click and send it off.
I like the Moisture + Tints, but I’ve got mad love for the non-tinted ChapStick Total Hydration varieties.
Yeah, the ChapStick sitch at Casa de MBB is like the hand cream situation, man! I have them ALL OVER THE HOUSE. ChapStick Total Hydration Vanilla Cream, which I apply before bed, is on my nightstand, and ChapStick Total Hydration Honey Blossom is on my desk, so I can reach for it throughout the day while I’m writing.
In my bathroom, I have a jar of ChapStick Total Hydration Conditioning Lip Scrub and a tube of Soothing Vanilla Total Hydration near the toothpaste (because I like to do a little lip scrub action after brushing my teeth in the morning).
In my car, I keep ChapStick Total Hydration Cooling Peppermint (which, by the way, is a Target exclusive), because whenever El Hub and I go someplace, I like to put it on and give him a kiss. That way his lips get moisturized without him even knowing it (yes, I just whispered that because it’s a house secret, shh…).
Next time you’re circumnavigating the Health & Beauty aisles at Target, pause to peep their ChapStick collection. There are so many marvelously moisturizing products to choose from.

Aww! You and Connor Claire look like twinsies =) I would love to be able to walk to Target, but it’s probably dangerous for my wallet lol. And I could get lost for hours in there, just browsing all the goodies and sipping Starbucks.
But I didn’t know about these new Total Hydration tinted lip balms! I love to see ChapStick stepping up their game with the great formulas and colors. A few months ago, I was able to try their 100% Natural Lip Butters and I’ve been obsessed ever since, so I should try these, too!
Do they have flavor and scent, or just color? I love the Rose Petal one on you and I’ll have to check out that scrub, as well. My lips tend to chap/flake when the seasons change and spring is finally here…
I hope you have an amazing Wednesday, Karen!
Karen says
Hi Lex,
I feel you; my lips do the same thing when the seasons change.
Also, I don’t notice a flavor or a scent, so you should be good!

LOLing at “Target is like the Valhalla of ChapStick” 🙂
Karen says
Hi Erin,
Ha! It’s true though. When was the last time you went to Target? And um… I may be going there again today.

I know it’s just lipbalm and not world peace but I’ve always liked the Chapstick smell and feel more than any other brand. It was my first so it has a special place in my heart. ❤️
Karen says
Yeah, I totally get that! It reminds me of elementary and middle school. 🙂

Wow, yours are only $2.99? I got one at Target last weekend and mine was $4.99. I guess that’s what I get for living in a flyover state.
Karen says
Wow! Kind of crazy how prices can be so different. It reminds of me going to Hawaii and seeing a $10 gallon of milk!

Just applied my favorite….no tint but flavor is Coconut. Have it next to me in the living room. That pic of Baby Girl and you us so darn cute. Loving it when she shows her teeth.
Karen says
I just put on Coral Bliss. Coconut is good too! It’s like a mini vacation in a tube.
I hope you’re having a nice day so far. Connor is downstairs playing with my mom and dad! They’re here today babysitting. 🙂

I’ll have to try the tinted ones! I normally use Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm. I have the scrub already from Chapstick
LindaLibraLoca says
Same here, chapsticks all over the house, car, my office… But I don’t think I get the original ones here in Germany. No Target around.

I’m wearing Merlot right now, the only shade available in Oz. The colour is similar to Clinique’s Black Honey and I just love it. Gives you that brownish berry lip in one swipe ?. Hopefully, we’ll get the other flavours!
Karen says
Hi Sage,
You’re so right about Merlot and Clinique Black Honey! 🙂 I hope you get the chance to try the Coral shade. It’s my fave!
