Uh, oh… Looks like someone partied a little too hard this weekend.

I don’t know if you knew this about Tabs, but he’s actually part Irish on his father’s side.

Yup, he totally gets into St. Patrick’s Day every year. Green gravy, Feline Greenies, the whole nine yards.

We have to celebrate at home now, though, because he got banned from both of Novato’s Irish bars, which, of course, means I have to plan the party.

Time to rise and shine (and spring forward!).

Happy Saturday, friend. I’ve been having a very nice morning so far. It’s sunny here today, so I’ve got the drapes open while I read magazines at the dining room table, drink my coffee and fiddle around online.

Not sure what I’m gonna do yet today… Part of me wants to go for a walk, or maybe a picnic (or both!), but we’ll see. I definitely want to do something outside.

It’s a new service or app thingy from Twitter that lets you make these short, six-second video clips, and IT’S A LOT OF FUN!

Fun AND practical, as you can clearly see by this unboxing video Tabs had me create of some new Too Faced Cosmetics products.

He wanted to convey the excitement he felt tearing into the packaging, and a six-second Vine seemed perfect for that…

In other news, nice to see you this morning! I’m actually feeling a little under the weather. I’ve had this blasted migraine since early yesterday morning, and it’s thrown me off my game. I don’t know if it’s hormonal or was triggered by something I ate or just the light from the computer screen, but it hoits.

Not a lot happening out my way. I’m not sure where Tabs is right now (probably wreaking havoc somewhere), but I’m getting ready to run on the treadmill, then do some housecleaning (bluh), and then hopefully head to brunch.

I also plan to rut around in my makeup collection to look for long-forgotten gems. Do you ever do that? I recently rediscovered some really great old-school hits that fell off my radarscreen, like Hourglass Exhibition (oh, hai!).

Have I told you about Tabs’ new favorite way to wake me up?

He jumps on the bed, walks across my chest and stands perpendicular to my throat with his tummy draped across my neck.

He waits for a moment or two like that, and then, PLOP! — lays down and starts purring like a Mack truck until my eyes open.

Imagine a furry, 20-pound infinity scarf holding you hostage in bed, and basically, you get my mornings for the past week.

No Tabby alarm clock today, though. When I woke up, all I found was the postcard above on El Hub’s pillow with a note telling me to take the day off.
