Ahh, it’s been fun, but ‘tis the end of MAC MAKEUP WEEK here at Makeup and Beauty Blog.
This won’t be the last you’ll be seeing of it though – I’ll be sure to hold more MAC-themed weeks like this in the future.
For all of you that sent in e-mails, thanks for sharing. As promised, here’s what you, the lovely readers, love most about MAC!
MAC Favorites – Chosen by Makeup and Beauty Blog Readers Like You!
The Mineralize Skinfinish powders are so great because they are super lightweight and even out your skin without giving you that fuzzy matte face. They are super for oily skin too and really do even out skin. I’ve been using them lately without foundation and I love it.
The Fix+ is nice if you’re traveling for a quick refresher. I’m not a member of the belief system that you have to use it to “set” your makeup. I use it to dilute liquid liner or to wet certain eyeshadows.
The MAC brushes I use are so old skool, girl! They are the #22 (small angled brush) & the #32 (larger brush for shading). I bought them in the late 90′s … they are still going strong, probably because I only use them when I wear more dramatic make-up for going out at night.
MAC has the best eyelash curler in the world. I used to only love the Shu Uemura one but MACs is better and way cheaper, and it comes with an extra pad thingy.
I only use MAC’s Studio Fix foundation powder. I think of all the foundations that one looks pretty good on me. I know MAC isn’t the greatest thing to wear for foundation purposes (using oil and all that stuff), but I don’t think it has caused me to break out.
I can’t just pick one MAC product I can’t live without. First, I love the GraphBlack Technakohl Liner. I need it. It stays on all day and it smudges if you want it and it doesn’t if you don’t.
Zoomblack Zoom Lash mascara. I love it because nowadays I don’t have time to wear the tons of makeup. I have to wear so my liner and mascara to make me presentable and I feel like they do.
MAC Wipes. I buy the Bulk pack and store it upside down so the top doesn’t dry out. I love them. I use them every night to remove my makeup. They get it all off and don’t leave any weird residue on my face. My skin is pretty sensitive and these never irritate it.
Thanks again for sending in your MAC favorites and why you love ‘em. Who knows, maybe you’ll inspire someone to try what you love most about MAC!
This weekend’s visit to San Francisco was amazing. The weather was unusually warm in Golden Gate Park, where El Husband and I hit up the Japanese Tea Gardens and the Conservatory of Flowers. Afterwards we met up with my friend Cindy for a delicious Thai food dinner in the Sunset District.
OH! And I found out that there’s a Vivienne Westwood Exhibit at the DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park! You better believe that yers truly is going to go and take as many non-sanctioned museum photos as possible!
It’s a new week so I hope yours is off to a good start. Stay cool if you’re here in NorCal.
