So, I’m not sure if this is beauty related (kinda sorta not really?), but I think whenever you find anything that prevents you from throwing your computer across the room while you’re doing taxes, it’s worth MAJOR props.
Say hello to H. Gillerman Organic’s Tension Remedy ($48). When you need/want to suppress yo’ crazy, this stuff is the sh*t.
A blend of organic essential oils, including lavender and peppermint, it helps ease neck tension and mental fatigue — two things I’ve had in spades lately, not gonna lie.
The bottle fits nicely in the palm of my hand (ooh, making it convenient for business trips). Just apply a couple drops on the back of your neck, right at the base.
Ah…smells like peppermint. 🙂
As the oil is absorbed into my skin, I start to feel a tingling sensation spread from the base of my neck, down across my shoulders and upper back.
Then I just sort of feel my muscles get all loosey-goosey. Within minutes, the urge to yell at my husband about 1099s subsides, and I no longer want to throw things.
It’s like a massage at a really nice day spa, but without the candles, nudity or whale sounds/Enya.
I’ve been using it a few times a day this month, and combined with deep breathing and frequent short walks, I haven’t felt as on edge. If you’re into hippy-dippy healing things like I am and have been feeling stressed, you might want to give it a go.
Tension Remedy and H. Gillerman Organics’ other essential oil-based brews (they make a bunch of other varieties, too) are based on traditional Chinese medicine. They have potions for sleep, some for relaxation and some to increase your energy.
They’re available now online at hgillermanorganic.com. The bottles are $48 each, which is a lot, but it’s also less than a full day at a spa.
SERENITY NOW!

I swear, a girl could go broke reading about all the goodies you post on your blog. In the name of serenity + serendipity, I WANT this stuff now. *drops mic & walks off stage to go & purchase my sanity in a bottle*

You make me laugh, kwmechelle. If you lived closer to me I’d call you up and say, “Let’s go for walk!” It’s beautiful outside today and it definitely seems to help reduce my stress levels.
I hope that you’re having a nice Friday so far. What’s the plan for this weekend?

Hahaha.

Wow…where was this product been…since my stepsons hit their teen years (I’m nearing the end on the youngest one now)?!?!!?
All kidding aside…
I’ve been having the worst tension/neck aches the past few weeks and nothing seems to make them go away except liquor and/or lots of ibuprofen. :-/
I’m seriously gonna have to look into this…after I get my hair done next week (buy-bye $120!)…
Arigatou gozaimasu Karen-san!!

LOVE Essential Oils!!! I use them in all my homemade makeup, etc because i just can’t get enough. They are so good for you, and they really are energizing or relaxing depending on the type.
(P.S. You can get it a lot cheaper by mixing your own) 🙂
