Hi Angie,
I’m glad you like these drugstore roundups. Have a good weekend!

My Friday was full of stress – had job interview and they said they’d make their minds up today but I haven’t heard back!
That probably means a no, but still I’d rather they tell me now and get it over with!
I hate tension before the weekend.
These tips should cheer me up though, thanks Karen!

Hi Caz,
I hope you get the job. What is the position?
Dao says
Hi Karen,
I think Bodycology is a very under-appreciated brand. I got its body butter before it was DC-ed and the ingredients are better than that of BBW. Can you believe BBW still uses petrolatum in its product? And yes, Bodycology is dirt-cheap as well 🙂

Hi Karen-
Great post! I’m having a stressful Friday: on-the-job training, but I’m REALLY BAD at mental math when I’m being watched!!!!!
I noticed one of the sites recommended baking soda for blemishes. I use it as an exfoliant with Cetaphil, and it works wonders.
Thanks again for the post!
Karen says
Hi Ellie,
Oh gosh, I’m the same when it comes to typing or using a mouse. When I’m on my own I type accurately and quickly, but the moment somebody looks over my shoulder I turn into a mess. It’s the weirdest thing.
I love the baking soda and Cetaphil trick. Brown sugar works well, too!
Got any exciting plans for the weekend?
Lucky says
I’ve always wanted to try Bodycology, if I can find it I think I will!
Ugh I agree sooo glad today is Friday, I’m totally drained, have had the *sads* since yesterday. Yall know I loved me some MJ 🙁
Not be a wet blankie, just glad other people are ready for the weekend!
Karen says
Hi Lucky,
I am sad about MJ, too. His music was such a big part of my formative years!
Anyway, it’s been awhile! How have you been? I hope that your summer is off to a good start.

Love these posts. Thanks again Karen!
I also totally agree with the positive ratings on the Maybelline Mineral Power blush & Rimmel’s SExy Curves mascara. I have the mineral power blush in both Gentle Pink & True Peach (they were BOGO no less!) & they are such beautiful, soft, blendable & buildable colors. Can’t say enough about them. They are my must-have drugstore blush. And when it comes to Sexy Curves…Wow! A mascara that curls your lashes unbelievably well while also giving them volume & length?!?! C’mon, you can’t beat that!!!
Karen says
Hi Nicole,
You’re welcome.
There are so many makeup treasures at the drugstore. Have you tried the Neutrogena Soft Color Blushes? I love them!
Kate & Zena says
I must be doing something right as I use about 4 of the brands named in the third link you gave. My Aveeno daily Moisturizing Lotion can do no wrong.
Tiffany says
Great post, Karen! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that grapefruit scrub by Neutrogena, and I have gotten by hubby hooked on it as well 🙂
Karen says
Hi Tiffany,
I have a bottle of that tucked away in my bathroom somewhere. It always wakes me up when I use it.
LOL, I caught El Hub using some of my Philosophy Unconditional Love body wash the other day. 🙂 I don’t mind though, because he comes out of the shower smelling good!

I’m good…well today withstanding. Just don’t feel like doing any work!
I have 2 internships which doesn’t leave time for blogging, and get this, I usually sleep so late all I have time for is blush and lipgloss…My lashes haven’t seen mascara for awhile, boo-hoo!
Karen says
Hi Lucky,
Good for you! What are your internships about? Are you enjoying them?
And girl, there is always time for a little bit of lash curl and mascara. You need to get on that! 🙂
marmar says
Oooh I just love the Neutrogena wash- they have awesome products. I cannot live without the funky vibrating face thingy- if smoothes out my face and pores for 11.00 bucks! Nivea’s lip products are also wonderful (I swear by their moisturizing base).
At least my day is going by faster!
